“Friendly service. Great selection. Good prices. This is the blueprint for other markets to follow. Every item they stock has a purpose, and I can tell they do their best to stock what people actually want.”

“I’m not the type of person to sit down and write reviews—but this place deserves every single minute of my time so I can truly express how I feel about it.

There are stores you shop at… and then there are places that feel like home. This family-owned grocery store is something truly special.

From the moment you walk in, you’re not treated like a customer—you’re treated like family. Mo, the owner, has created something rare. The way he cares about people, remembers faces, and makes everyone feel welcome is something you just don’t see anymore. And his two kids? Just like their father—kind, genuine, and always ready to help with a smile.

Let’s talk about prices—because honestly, they’re unbeatable. Every single item is priced better than what you’ll find at other stores. Period. You walk out feeling like you got more than your money’s worth every time.

The store itself is spotless, organized, and always stocked with the latest trending items. They somehow manage to have everything you didn’t even know you needed. And if there’s ever something you can’t find, just ask. Mo or his kids will go out of their way to make sure you get it.

This isn’t just a grocery store—it’s a community, a family, and a place that genuinely cares. Support businesses like this. They deserve it.

I don’t expect anyone to just take my word for it—go see it for yourself.”

“The Mission District is a must-visit for anyone looking to immerse themselves in authentic Latin culture and cuisine. Walking through the streets, you’re surrounded by vibrant murals, lively energy, and an endless lineup of Latin food spots that feel truly authentic.

One standout stop is Casa Guadalupe Supermarket—a treasure trove of Latin flavors, from fresh ingredients to specialty snacks and baked goods. Every corner of the Mission District feels full of life and community pride, and sampling the food here is like taking a bite out of local culture itself!”

“They have everything here, a butcher at the meat section, stocked shelves and very nice vegetables. Prices are a little high but they offer senior discounts to 55+ so make sure you ask for it before you pay.”

“Buddies market is very convenient, Paul the owner has to pass the connivence fee onto his customers just to stay in business considering he is right next door to the Canyon Market just to stay competitive, he carries quite a bit and if customer's ask for specific items, Paul will go out of his way to accommodate their requests. He is too small of a store for outside vendors to bother with or requesting an outrageous amount of product per month that he cannot order from the big boys so that leaves him having to do about 90% of item shopping by himself, he's a hard working man who has suffered in the past with an unfortunate attempt on his life that sometimes he doesn't smile, he's a good man who loves his family and his customer base, I've worked for him going on 5 years now and have earned his trust and respect, I work as hard as he does and together we keep the store up and running, he does not own the building therefore the outside look leaves little to desire but the landlord does not take any interest in keeping it from being an eyesore. The stores overhead is unbelievable it's very expensive just to turn the lights on much less open for 11 hours straight, new store hours are Saturday through Thursday 9:00am to 8:00pm and Friday 9:00am to 8:30pm Stop in and say hello to Paul, he would appreciate it if you took the time to say hello.”

“The perfect convenience store for when you're on Oak St towards Octavia to US-101 or I-80 and the Bay Bridge. You can easily stop for the necessities during your commute street parking is easy, and the staff are super friendly. For my commute it's a pint of Haagen-Dazs, a Gatorade and a bag of Kettle brand chips for the days when there is traffic.. Let's just say I eat a lot of ice cream. What's your favorite snack during a long commute?”

“Friendly family owned market and the best option in the neighborhood. Great sandwiches and lots of alternative healthier options for snacks. The produce is always top notch and worth that extra bodega price tag to support this family business and neighborhood gem.”

“I went in there looking for a MoneyGram, the MoneyGram no longer exists in this location and they do not cash checks either, the reason I'm giving it five stars is because I spoke to a very nice cashier lady person who understood my language no problem, she explained that it was under New Management, the store looks very nice and clean and well-organized and had hot and cold foods and a huge variety of different things, I would absolutely go back if I wanted to go shopping for any particular item support your local”

“A wonderful neighborhood market. Their meat and fish selection is excellent and fresh, as is the veggie and fruit section. They also have an excellent cheese area. The deli is also terrific.”

“This is an EXCELLENT grocery store! They have SO much great produce, and much of it is organic. Their cheese selection is impressive, they have a lot of gourmet items and I think they have the entire line of grains from Bob's Red Mill. Good wine/beer selection, big parking lot and everyone who works there is so nice. And their prices are extremely affordable!! It's also very clean and well organized. I don't eat meat but I did notice a very large butcher section too. Don't give your money to Whole Foods/Amazon! Shop local at this great neighborhood market.”

“I'm a 80's baby, this grocery store has always been in the neighborhood. So much history at this store, some good, some bad. The store remodeling is way better than it was before, more brighter, open space and if they started cooking food they probably get more customers. They have fresh produce, fruits vegetables All your grocery needs. I don't know the owners but I did meet the cashier and he was super polite.. Check out the local shop..”

“Lucky usually has everything I need. The produce is better than Safeway. They don't carry Miyoko's butter or some other vegan brands but they're almost there.”

“I try to come here for vegetables. It’s fresh and great prices but you have to buy in larger quantities so be ready to feast. I also like their fresh rice fun.”

“With the number of grocery shopping options on Stockton Street, it's easy to overlook this 3-in-1market. Given the store size, you won't find a comprehensive variety of produce or products. It's a backup shopping spot for me when I'm unable to find vegetables or cooking ingredients either at that SoCal based chain supermarket or other neighboring stores. They have fish tanks in the rear area behind the cashier counter and back right corner while the meat section is along the right wall towards the front as you walk in. In the center area, you'll find open freezer bins with various seafood like abalone, oysters, mussels, scallops, and sea cucumber as well as packed fish balls and other processed seafood products. I've come here a couple times when my normal shopping spot didn't have okra. I come here normally when I can't find okra. I can't vouch for their meats and seafood price and quality wise as I have not bought from those sections. Good backup spot for me.”

“The people working here are very sweet. Fair prices and they have a little bit of everything. Couldn't find lemons in Chinatown...no problem, this darling little market has lemons, sparkling water, nuts, cheeses, wine, snacks, veggies, toiletries...all the essentials. Love this little gem and the granny who always gives little crackers to you when you check out.”

“I wanted a simple breakfast back in my hotel room and this place was perfect. They have fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs and oatmeal packets. The couple behind the counter was super helpful!”

“A tofu shop in Chinatown. What I would like to highlight is not the low price, but the freshness and deliciousness of the tofu. I realized that tofu is just like vegetables and fruits, and freshness is extremely important in determining its taste. It's a hard type of tofu that Japanese people don't like, but when you add it to miso soup, it's delicious and you'll gulp it down. Please buy the one that doesn't come in a pack. Recommended.”

“I was walking back to my car in Chinatown when i I found this special store. I was tired of eating vacation food and ran to this store to find the most delicious bean salad by epicurean solutions I'm a diehard fan!!!! I'll be visiting the kind gentleman who was working that Labor Day morning and be a regular on the weekends when I'm in the city. I love when I find a good store! It becomes my go to spot”

“The variety of Chinese products is complete, and the quality and price of fresh fish, meat, and vegetables are quite reasonable (for the Sunset District). However, it is more suitable for middle-aged and older consumers. The younger generation may go back disappointed.”

“Not sure what people are on about. Place is clean, open late (unlike many places in the area) and offers great convenience on a variety of goods. Friendly staff.”

“I love this lit'l market. Fresh meats such as,chicken, carnetas, carne asada, and always two grades of lean hamburger. Their produce is always fresh due to fast rotation. Avacadoes, mangoes, celantro, lettuce, potatoes, onions and everything pretty much you need for a home made stew. They supply a plethora of flavors to quench your thirst, besides regular Pepsi and coca cola soft drinks they always have in store, a variety of beverages, including coconut, horchata, mexican imports like banana, apple and even barley drinks. One thing I really enjoy are the already cans of Chilli sauces, to use for enchiladas, menudo, or tamales. This saves me time from making it from scratch. Thank you, Casa Latina for being convenient. You ROCK!”

“My favorite corner liquor store, with a good variety of stuff at reasonable pricing, they have Faygo Cotton candy soda, 12 oz PBR $1, Piroshkis, good selection of imported /micro brews.Lotto scratchers... Only issue is so much stuff- not much room to move. There's a Legend that someone had sex under a blanket in front of here a couple years ago on Thanksgiving day just before the store opened for the day.”

“Great selection of southeast asian products. This is the only place I've been able to find Thai sweet preserved radish. Very good looking produce as well. There is a $10 minimum for credit card transactions.”

“Neighborhood staple for as long as I’ve been alive! Banging deli, fresh produce, convenient spot to pick up groceries. Can’t beat the classics! This is THE lunch spot.

Deli sandwiches are well priced—juicy pastrami sandwich for $12 seems a crazy good deal when the bar across the street sells them for $20 🤯!! Sandwiches come with all fixings including BLT, pickles, and pepperoncinis. Cheese is extra $1. Huge drinks & sodas selection too.

Staff are all super friendly and fast. If you don’t visit during a rush, it’s basically in and out. There are three checkout lanes.”
