“I love coming to The Rainbow. Sam and Mona are the sweetest couple. They have an excellent wine selection. Sam is well versed in wine. If you go before 2p Monday -Saturday you can eat one of the delicious sandwiches Sam makes at the deli counter. My favorite is the Mission. This is my go to corner store.”

“I came to San Francisco on holiday from the UK as part of a road trip few days, and seeing as this was one of the few convenience stores near my hotel, I went to check it out. Was not disappointed.Really friendly staff, the lady Morning was such a sweetheart, always loved seeing and chatting with her. A great selection of food and drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, and great tasting sandwiches.5 stars from me, I absolutely have to visit again the next time i'm in San Francisco ✌️”

“My sisters and I were in the neighborhood getting tattooed next door at Rose Gold’s a few weeks ago and popped into Amal’s for a snack. The ladies behind the counter suggested we get the manakish and it was GENUINELY ONE OF THE BEST THINGS I’VE EVER EATEN. We went back and ordered five more. Amal was so welcoming and made us feel right at home. The market has great stuff - fresh food, quality products, even a giant rack of Haribo from all over the world. The snacks are top notch and they know their clientele in that neighborhood ? Stop in and let “Mama” Amal make you lunch, you’ll be happy you did!”

“I was unfamiliar with the area and was just looking for a sandwich to go. It took a while, but I stumbled upon Eddy's Food Store. It was a great find. They area under new ownership and they're doing a great job. I was there for a sandwich, but they have various grocery items, liquor, household items, etc. They even have. bitcoin machine. I've never seen one before. If you wanna' see one or buy some bitcoin, you can get it at Eddy's. While I was there several people came in for lotto tickets. Back to the sandwich. I had the Santorini turkey sandwich. $9.99. It was excellent. It was about the same price as a Subway sandwich but way tastier and way better! I loved every bite! They also have started serving breakfast sandwiches. I you're in the area and want a great sandwich, go check out Eddy's! It's always nice to support locally owned small businesses.”

“I love this place! I'm a little biased since I live on the same street but it's my go to market whenever I need some thing; they literally have everything you can imagine. Also their fresh sandwiches are to die for. They also sell premade hot foods and sushi. The staff are incredibly kind and the vibe in here is just so homey. It feels really good to support a family business that's been running for so long and it's a staple to nob hill!”

“Talk about Community!? Gabby's Deli is the first spot in SF that comes to mind. I moved out here in 2018 from the East Coast, and my first gig was just up the road from Gabby's, in which I was very fortunate to meet Jr and his family(owners); they've gone out of their way to make you feel welcome. PLUS, the Sandwiches are THE BEST! Ended up moving to another part of my company, but rented close to G.M.D years later and they remembered me like it was yesterday. It is the little things that make a difference and for that, they will always have my patronage.”

“The customer service is good. They are clean and very organized I was able to find things. There is fresh vegetables and fruit. The best part is the take food stamps if you don't have any cash I payed $12 for bread ,eggs mayonnaise , popcorn and a package of noodles . The one thing I seen was someone left there bag unattended in the store and I guess someone came a picked it up. Hopefully that girl got her belongings back . Keep your thing with you at all time. Other than that it's a good store”

“Fair prices, a wide but not confusing selection, and a really helpful and friendly owner - perfect for anyone stocking up on snacks while travelling around the city! I stopped in here while visiting from the UK and staying at a nearby hotel (Casa Loma), and I'd recommend doing the same for anyone in the area.”

“Love this market. It has the basics a similar market would carry but the people who work there are absolute gems. I found myself going in to buy random items I didn't really need just to say hi to the employees. Definitely has a neighborly vibe to it.”

“Norms sold and this place has been under new management since February 2023. I miss the familiar faces of the old team. A lot of changes since - no more Sirron Norris art inside, no more lottery, and you can buy whip-its (so classy, right?). Let’s share feedback with them to help shape the market into what we want to see, starting with this tip: don’t make the same mistake of painting over the murals outside as your neighbors across the street did — you will wind up spending a ton of time and money repainting the exterior every week due to graffiti if you turn the walls blank.”

“Joe is the best and F And G should be a historic landmark in the Mission. Store is packed with pretty much everything you need from a last minute or late night food item to a day trip to Dolores park. Prices are reasonable and fair considering it’s a corner grocery store.”

“Very lean corner, they are respectful, honest business owners. Service with a smile. Also customers are supportive when I went in w/ addressing my daughter about; how she spoke to me. Which was very helpful. Made me feel other parent's has my back and know I am not alone towards addressing our youth towards a better future.”

“We used to live across the street from Western Sunset Market and it was our go-to for wine, beer, firewood and random other things we needed. Kevin and family are so kind and when we went out of town for the holidays once, when we got back he gave us a hug because it had been so long! He helped me pick out medication for my sick husband one time, always gave me a peppermint patty with my purchase and was just the sweetest. We moved in 2018 and stopped in to say goodbye before we left, but he and his wife weren't there. Kevin and fam, if you read this, we miss you! If you're in the area, skip the sketchy 7-11 and stop in at Western Sunset!”

“Great corner liquor store especially for the type of area its in. Don't be alarmed that you see a whole bunch of people chilling outside like its a night club (that's normally what they do every night) until the police come and hen everyone scatters . I like that its near a B.O.A and a clothing store which they own next door as well. This liquor store has lottery tickets that be hitting! Every time I get the scratching fever I always find myself coming here. In the back of the cashier they have a variety of Tobacco products and when requested they will order what they don't have. I don't see that a lot in many corner stores. Good selection of food they even have links that be smelling so good when you first walk in, I tried one for my first time yesterday and I have to say it wasn't bad! In the back they have the many varieties of Wine and in the back of the cashier there is a variety of liquor. I'm a clear liquor type of person and they usually have the little bottles of Ciroc or 1800 for normally $10. Which to me is not a bad deal. The workers in here are Arabic and are so sweet. Its family owned and they have been around for a while. The store is operated with cameras so the workers here are able to see there outside surroundings. I definitely recommend coming here, you will no be disappointed. Try out a lottery ticket, you may HIT, BIG!”
