“Had a wonderful experience at Mike's today getting a tire patch! They were able to fit me in right away and the the staff was super accommodating of my schedule for pickup. When it was time to get my car, they even parked it right outside the shop so I could drive off seamlessly. It was 30 bucks tax included when I paid with cash, the best price I could find in the city after calling multiple other shops.

“I ended up with a flat tire at 1am in San Francisco. The tire was completed busted and came off the rim the car was not driveable at all. I had the tow truck tow me to the nearest tire place that would be open in the morning on a Sat, Larkin Bros Tire.
I came back there as soon as they opened at 8am. The owner helped me and looked up the tire size and type and informed me that they didnt have it in stock, and that there are no deliveries on Sat.
He then went the extra mile to look through their used tire inventory but could not find any match. He then called around 2 delivery places and asked if they would make an exception and deliver on Sat, which didn't work out. He then called other tire shops that were nearby and found one that had the right tire in stock, told them to put aside the tire under my name and reserve appointment and handed off my business to them.
I got my car towed to the other tire shop. When I got there they already had my info and were ready to go and got everything taken care off within 2 hours.
Rarely do you see such courteous professionalism in auto repair industry. The guy at Larkin didn't have to do any of this, especially since I wasnt bringing him any business. But thanks to him going the extra mile my day got infinitely better, I wasn't lost. I thought my entire Saturday would be shot, or that I'd have to leave my car there till Mondat. Instead, I got the help I needed in record time and was able to get back to driving my vehicle by 11am.”

“Great service. Very nice manager when I arrived this morning asking him to help fixing my wheel rim. The technician finished the job on time and the price of the repair is very reasonable. I even got a quote to go back to fix my curb rashes and get wheels conditioned. I will definitely go back if I have wheel / tire issue.”
“Open on Saturdays 9am-3pm. It was $60 for a regular oil change. Simon (Asian skinny guy with the dyed brown hair) from the defunct 19th Avenue Quality Tune-Up is here. I didn't see any of his old crew also making the move as I used to be a regular at his old shop. He told me most went to other shops or have retired. It was nice to see Simon at least. It took an hour to do the oil change. He called me mid job that my engine and cabin air filters needed replacing. $90 (2 filters $55 and labor $35.) I said yes as I was too lazy to do it myself. It would have have taken too much effort to buy the filters myself and install it. ($22 for the engine and $10 for the cabin filter Amazon prices.) There was a slight mishap as they charged me for a synthetic oil change whereas I only got a regular oil change. The billing mechanic (not Simon) messed up. I caught it on the receipt and they had to refund me $26. Otherwise good job everyone at Sunset 76 Auto Repair. Be sure to check your receipt.”

“We drove to the city from Central Oregon and halfway here, my car started making a horrible grinding noise. Our family had a friend who recommended this place; I called and they told me to come right down (25 minutes before they closed). Kevin took my car for a spin and was able to diagnose it right away as something not as catastrophic as I was preparing for. They stayed open an extra half hour and didn’t even charge us. These guys are amazing and if I lived in SF I would absolutely use them again!”

“Hands down best mechanic I've used since Moss Motors closed 10 years ago. You can read my review for the Honda dealership on Van Ness. I took my car to a different independent mechanic after Honda and before Bob, who said the RF axel and half shaft did need replacing but they could do it for $700 less than Honda quoted. Bob straight up told me nothing was wrong other than my brakes were at 30%. He is super Informative and a great teacher of all things cars. Such a relief to have an honest hard working mechanic.”

“This place is my new go-to tire store. I had a low-pressure warning on one of my tires and drove in at 5:00 p.m. on a Saturday (without an appointment) to see what was wrong. Twenty minutes later they said I had just over-inflated my tires and they did not detect any leak. Super courteous service and it was gratis.
