They provided gas option for a full tank at somewhat competitive price per gallon. I got it somehow thinking it would be usage based. It was not. You only get your moneys worth if you bring your car with EMPTY tank which is practically impossible. Fortunately, they changed it post hoc to the usual “fill up the tank before you return the car” model.”

“I visited two Sixt branches this morning in San Francisco, the Fremont Hotel location and the SFO Airport branch.
At the Fremont Hotel, I didn’t receive the car I was supposed to get, and at SFO Airport I experienced terrible service, far below any acceptable standard.
Later, I arrived at the San Jose Airport branch, and the difference was unbelievable. The service here was so good it made me forget everything that happened earlier. Everything went smoothly, and for the first time today, I truly felt that the staff cared about the customer, not just about finishing their shift and going home.
Big shoutout to the San Jose Airport team, they turned a really frustrating morning into a great experience. These guys deserve real credit for their professionalism, patience, and positive attitude. Honestly, this is how customer service should be done.”

“I was unsure going here after seeing the reviews. But it looks like it's under new management. Andy is very friendly and helpful, and was able to get me a great truck to rent for the weekend (no way my SUV could fit the things I needed). It sounds like after COVID they had a lot of trouble getting up and running because of a lack of trucks especially - funny enough this is exactly what most people complain about!I'll definitely be back because new management under Andy is great. Most of this stuff comes down to who runs the place and Andy does great. I'm all for supporting local business owners and it's clear Andy's been hard at work trying to fix the reputation here :)I've only ever had trouble renting from Budget (or Avis?) when I try to do something last minute. My recommendation would be to try and book in advance as much as possible - and to be flexible if you're going to book last minute!”

“Had a great experience renting from this Hertz location. Jess was friendly, welcoming, and greeted me right away when I arrived. He recognized my status, got everything handled quickly, and had me in and out with a vehicle that fit my needs perfectly.
I only made my reservation a couple of days in advance, so I really appreciated the communication from the team. They called ahead of time to let me know they would do their best to source the vehicle I requested, and then called again before pickup to let me know they had found it earlier than expected. That level of customer service was awesome.
I also spoke with Natalie on the phone, and she was just as great. Friendly, informative, and easy to talk to. Everyone I interacted with was professional and genuinely helpful.
This branch is easy to find, has plenty of parking, and the staff makes the rental process smooth and stress-free. I definitely recommend this location and will be renting from them again. Thanks Hertz!”
“Originally, I booked a Nissan Rogue with AWD for 7 days with very reasonable rate on Priceline. When I went to the SJC and tried to pick up the SUV, I saw a Nissan Kicks next to it. Since I just travel with my wife and we have very light luggage, I asked the worker there if I could take the slightly smaller subcompact one of FWD instead as I did not have to need a AWD car. Shortly, the employees there very considerately helped us to change the vehicle. As result, both my wife and I were super comfortable with the Kicks.
The Cons: Before I picked up the car, I must pay $500 as Disputed Charge at the front desk. But I did not get the money back to my CC account till 3 weeks after returning the SUV.”

“Needed a rental car last minute at the San Jose airport. I prepaid on the app when I got to the rental counter everything was very smooth and efficient. The gentleman that helped me was nice and professional whole process took about 15 minutes. The car was beautiful and clean, and in great condition, I even received an upgrade at no cost. Total cost for the rental for 2 1/2 days Was appropriately priced in my opinion. I will use them again .”

“Prepaid for a rental thru Priceline. Pick up was fast. I rented a mid-size suv. A Rav 4 or similar. I got a Kia Sportage which was very nice and similar in size. I rented from SJC to drive to SoCal and to drop off at Long Beach Airport. Drop off was very quick and they sent me my email receipt 10 mins after I dropped it off. I filmed a walk around the car when I picked it up just incase they try to bill me for damages that wasn't mine. Had a great experience and would rent from here again.”
