He’ll be able to point you toward the best products and help find a qualified expert installer as well.”
“Todd has everything I needed when ever I went in and he knows where it's all at. I get my power hacksaw blades here and Todd seems to be the only person who knows what a power hacksaw is. It's also the best place to look around and check stuff out, I even found tools I couldn't find anywhere else.”

“This is my favorite J&W location, for sentimental reasons. When we first started our company, West Coast Deck (deck and patio contractor here in north county San Diego), we purchased all of our materials here. The manager, Wes, is awesome, and Nick, Oscar, and Noah are all both kind, thoughtful, and knowledgeable.

If you need cedar, redwood, hardwood, ipe, mangaris, mahogany, as well as all types of composite decking (eg TimberTech), they’ve got you covered. Also a wide variety of fence supplies and hardware/fasteners.
My only complaint is that my favorite donuts are usually gone by the time I get there.”
“My husband is currently making a wood box for his father's ashes and wanted curly maple for the lid. There was a beautiful, large piece which was much too big for what he needed, and the owner of Saroyan was totally behind cutting him what he needed and being really supportive of this project. Really, this establishment has blown us away with their kindness. He's also been able to source other unique woods from this business. Some of the best selection of wood we've been able to find in San Diego.”

“These guys are awesome! I have been using them for a while and they go above and beyond. I recently had a co2 tank go empty in 4 days. I am positive they test the tanks beforehand but I also know plumbing and leaks as I do pools and hot tubs for a living. Whatever the reason for the tank to empty so quick, didn’t matter. They were nice enough to take care of me this once which is all I can ask. Thank you guys for everything! Only place I go to fill my co2 for my kegerator”

“I normally don't review hardware stores and I normally do not shop at this location, but I had a real great customer service experience. As soon as I walked in the door, someone greeted me and asked if I need help. I normally don't ask for help but I said I needed some assistance with specific light switches and fan controller. The gentleman who covers that area just happened to be standing next to the greeter. He looked at the switches I brought with me and was able to quickly get me what I needed that they had in stock. He identified that the other switch is not something they carry so he identified the model number and I ordered it from Amazon. He was very helpful and friendly. I ended up buying a few other items and was able to check out with minimal wait. Overall, it was a much better and quicker experience than I expected.”
