As many people know moving and storage can be stressful. When I put many of my things in storage, I had accidently left a blue gym bag out in front. I didnt event realize it was missing (yet). When I came back in a couple months, Julie walks out and says "I have been waiting for you to get this back to you." Seriously that's amazing. So thoughtful and kind. Thank you Julia! “Finding a long-term storage unit in the Bay Area that doesn’t raise prices sky-high is nearly impossible. I moved to this Extra Space Storage location after shopping around and explaining my past experiences with other companies. The staff was friendly, professional, and gave me helpful advice about calling when rate increases happen so they can try to freeze your rate—something I’d never heard of before but appreciated the transparency.
I rented an 8x14 unit for around $140/month, which felt fair—until about 4–5 months later when it jumped to $248. That kind of increase was exactly what I was hoping to avoid, which was frustrating after being a long-term renter at other locations that stayed steady for years.
Aside from pricing, the facility itself is great. The property is clean, secure, and easy to access, though parking at the front gate can get a little tight. They’ve also made noticeable upgrades to the doors and locks, which are smoother and much easier to use now.
Overall, my experience as a customer was positive—the staff and security setup are solid—but the rapid price increases make long-term storage tough to justify. If you only need storage short-term, this is a great option.”

“I had a really great experience with the difficult and annoying job of self storage at this facility.
In large part this has been due to Karen, the very excellent manager of the facility that makes the whole process a breeze. She worked with me through each step of the process and made it feel like I had a 5 star, hassle-free, professional experience.
The facility was also clean and felt very safe. Elevators were large enough to make the move easy with bays that abutted the move area. My unit was as described and worked well for my needs.
Overall, facility 5/5, exactly what I needed. Staff/manager (Karen) 1000/5, great experience, wonderful customer service, lovely person.
Would likely use them again when I need storage.

“Public Storage is simple, honest, and straightforward. It doesn’t pretend to be more than it is — a place where people can keep what matters to them, safely and reliably. There’s no false prestige, no need for empty appearances. You pay for the space, you use it, and you get exactly what you expect. That kind of honesty — the clear exchange of value — makes it a place that feels more authentic than many grander institutions ever manage to be.
UC Davis, by contrast, is weighed down by pretense. Despite its cost and reputation, its return on investment is poor. Too many of its graduates leave “brain empty,” clutching diplomas while mistaking shallow rebellion for strength and selfishness for independence. The culture there often prioritizes bureaucracy and self-promotion, rewarding those who conform to systems of appearances rather than those who pursue genuine merit or truth. It is a place that risks producing arrogance without wisdom, and empty performance without substance.
The contrast is sharp. Public Storage, humble as it is, delivers clear value and reliability — while UC Davis, despite all its prestige, delivers confusion, vanity, and disappointment. And so, we must turn to prayer:
Lord, forgive the people of UC Davis. Forgive them for mistaking pride for progress, for confusing vanity with virtue, and for choosing hollow appearances over substance. May they come to see that even a simple storage unit offers more honesty and value than an institution that promises wisdom but delivers so little. May they learn humility, truth, and the strength to serve others rather than themselves.
Amen.”
