“I went into Heart and Sole and was promptly greeted by the staff. I explained what I was looking for and was brought out a few pairs of shoes to try on. We landed on a pair that I thought was going to work, but after I went home and tried them out on the treadmill the shoes were creasing into my foot. I brought them back the next day and explained I wanted to swap for another similar pair. Without question I was helped out and the staff knew and reassured me these things happen; As I felt bad for bringing them back. I landed on a pair of TOPO shoes with way more confidence after the great experience. Highly recommend giving this store a try !”

Golf Mart continues to repair my son's broken Calaway irons each time he breaks a shaft. Today, they also gave him a special edition ball marker (that his high school baseball team requires the players to use) after his was accidentally lost out of his pocket. Great stuff. “Just picked up my dune PA12. Awesome service, very knowledgeable, wide variety of kayaks, and kayak accesorries, just a clean and friendly environment. My drive came with a gouge out of the box though, lets hope it's not deep enough past the corrosion resistant paint layer. All in all i had a great experience with my purchase and great outstanding customer service. I highly recommend them to anyone!”

Great place to bring the family I was suppposed to babysit and go to K1 go karts with him but they were closed. The idea of archery just popped into my head and it wound up being THE BEST time!!!”

“Classic Sports is the best bowling pro shop I've found in the Bay Area and now the only one on 101 north of SF. Nick has been fitting and drilling balls for 38+ years and it shows. Make an appointment and he'll walk you through your options and get you sized and carefully fitted expertly. He's got better in stock selection of balls and shoes than any shop I've found so far and can order anything he doesn't have. His pricing is very competitive with online stores once you factor in drilling. I paid 5% more than I would have if I had ordered my Storm ball online and brought it in for drilling, which is more than fair. His pricing on drilling only might be a little steeper than others, but he really does do an expert job, and frankly is an incentive to order a ball through him and support your local small business. Nick was happy to answer questions on accessories and shoes, but he didn't try to get me to add-on anything to my purchase. I came back on my own to get a ball for my girlfriend, ball cleaner and a new pair of shoes because we need more good, local small businesses like Classic Sports. The only thing I'll add is that if you call and Nick seems rushed on the phone it's only because he probably has an appointment customer in front of him, along with 1-2 other store customers waiting. You'll see when you go in for your fitting, he really is busy.”

“I love to support local and this shop is a great local option to the more branded competitors out there (REI and Sports Basement). I always manage to find some fun and interesting products that I don't always find at the larger outlet options in town. Their product lines are similar to the bigger stores but I find slightly different patterns and styles which is awesome to diversify the choices locally. Around the holidays they really ramp up pajamas, slippers, gift-like items to really help round out your gifts. Even first of the year they still had a good variety which is nice because after the holiday I know the bigger competitors tend to wind down these options for sale. Pricing on these types of products is always on the higher end but they have some great sales and it's nice to be able to support locally knowing you are making a difference in someone's livelihood versus a corporate machine.”

“I went here to buy a canopy that was on sale. The manager and I guess one his lead shift managers were in the front and they were really helpful. They showed me the selection and made a suggestion based on price and functionality. Then he carried it to the front of the store for me, and then carried out to my car after the purchase. It was a big long awkward box about 75lbs, so no easy task, and I didn't ask for that, and didn't expect it. This is the type of service you don't see anywhere anymore. So I got a good buy, and some really great service!”

“Update: I finally got lucky and spoke with Roxanne, a Marmot CS Rep, and with her experience she listened to my order problems and she resolved them in a heart beat. Roxanne explained that the CS Staff was short-handed but they would be getting a dozen newly trained CS Reps next week to assist them. For some reason the XL EVODry Clouds Rest Jacket I purchased over two weeks ago was not available anymore so I asked her to go one size down since my last XL Torreys jacket that I purchased a month ago was a little large on me so a Large size should work well with me. Roxanne was nice enough to expedite my shipping due to all of the problems I've had waiting on my order and I appreciate it very much. I've upgraded my star rating from one to four stars due to Roxanne's quick actions although I do believe that Marmot's management was delinquent in their duties to alert their customers on their website to the delays that should have been obvious that were coming due to the lack of staff in their CS group. I would still rate Marmot's Management with One Star since they stuck their proverbial heads in the sand and ignored their Customer's problems! Marmot began from several friends in the 70's who cared about putting out quality products and providing great customer service. I've purchased tents and bags with the Marmot brand over the years and never had a problem, but I've always dealt with online gear sellers and never directly with Marmot. I made the mistake of purchasing recently directly from Marmot with the following expectations as currently stated on their site: Free 3-Day shipping and free returns on all orders. Terms & Conditions Please note: 3-Day shipping is the speed of the shipping. Orders take 1-3 business days to process before they are shipped. Please consider this timeline prior to your purchase. Marmot if you can't meet the shipping parameters you've stated then by all means update your website to state that it may take 2 to 3 weeks to process your orders and don't stick your collective heads in the sand and pretend nothing is wrong... It's now in the 2nd week and soon to be starting my 3rd week for me and I found out they don't have adequate phone service for any semblance of a Customer Service Dept. When I login to my account it still shows "Processing" whatever that means. Your company needs to take lessons from Patagonia and North Face when it comes to how to run a successful business...”

“Tonight was our third time shopping here since Christmas. We love this store. We are always greeted when we enter and have found the employees to be friendly and welcoming. We tend to go later in the day so we have not experienced any long waite. The store is clean and generally well stocked. Their prices are comparable to other stores with the name brands that they carry but their sales are a lot better than most stores. I wish they had a better selection of kids clothing, but that would be the only downside to shopping here.”
