“I used to go to Dhorty tires wanted to keep it local been buying tires there for years. Got a flat once they charged 20 bucks, ok cool. Got another flat on a Sunday, they were closed. Went over to Les Schwab down the road, guy walked out helped me out before I even got through the front door, how much will be? I asked. No charge. I needed my brakes looked at, went to the Ford dealership where I bought my truck to ask a few questions maybe make an appointment. And this is where they lost me and why I will no longer buy vehicles there, The receptionist at the front desk hands me a desk phone and tells me to make an appointment. Frustrated I drove down the road and went to Les Schwab, again guy walks out inspects it, orders the parts and asks me to come in the next morning. The service at this shop is second to none in Sonora, I know lots of us want to "keep it local" but remember the county approved this business, the guys that work there live and pay taxes here in TUCO. Now I save time and go to les Schwab first thing.”

“I was visiting from Idaho. My trans had been serviced before my trip, so it should have been working great. However, it was slipping out of gear, but Freddie was able to get me right in.It turns out they didn't put enough transmission fluid in it! He checked it over, added a quart, and it drove home perfect! I would recommend them for any transmission repairs. They are awesome!”

“I can't recommend Dave's highly enough. My Econoline van broke down en route to Yosemite when it started overheating, and they were able to get me in right away. I was able to sleep in my van at the shop (they said they get a lot of van lifers) and it was fixed by the next morning.I had been expecting to pay a lot of money no matter what the fix was, just based on it being a small town close to the National Park, but they kept it incredibly honest. Car troubles suck no matter what, but I felt lucky to have been near such an awesome mechanic that treated me with respect and clearly values their customers so much.”

“Called to get tires put on and an alignment done same day and they were so quick and fast! Though they couldn’t do the alignment they were honest and kind! It’s nice keeping business local! “Brought in truck that broke down on CA highway. We're from Idaho. Needed it looked at immediately and repaired soonest. They dropped what they were doing as soon as our truck was towed in. They gave us a ride to the car rental place, they used (by permission) a part from another truck that matched ours so we didn't have to wait 3 days for the part to come in, they had our truck repaired in less than 24 hours. They set everything aside to assist us as we were from another state traveling thru California. Can't say enough good about them! Thank you Jim's Automotive/Opie's Garage!”

“If I could give 10 out of 5 stars, I would!My husband and I called Auto Tech (spoke to Hal) and were desperate for mechanical help. Our truck broke down while were 160 miles out of town in Sonora, while on our way to our first solo backpacking trip since our daughter was born (4 years prior). I had called several other mechanics in town and no one else would even give us the time of day; said they were booked out a couple weeks at least. When I called Auto Tech, Hal said they would fit us in. They worked on our truck all day and Vinnie, (our amazing mechanic) truly went above and beyond. When the auto parts store was going to close and had failed to deliver a crucial part for our truck, Vinnie personally drove there to get us the part. And then he stayed late to make sure the truck was fixed and safe for us to drive. Cost was also reasonable and quality and safety were their top priority. Both my husband and I truly can't thank them enough. They went above and beyond and their kindness made our weekend!It is businesses like Auto Tech, and the amazing people that work there that truly make this world a better place. Thank you again!”

Not because he knew us (he didn’t, we were out-of-towners), but because he’s a good and genuinely kind person. Mikey self-ascribes as a ‘fabricator’, but his work warrants the label ‘artist’ as far as I’m concerned. My only regret is not having him sign it.”

“Took my Jeep into Moose Mountain Jeep Shop for a new fuel pump, tune up, new radiator. He did a GREAT job. The price was very reasonable. He really knows his Jeeps. I have another project I want to do a little later and will definitely take the Jeep back. The Jeep runs smooth and again fun to drive. You need Jeep help he is the guy.”

“I just got into an accident TODAY and noticed that my tire wall was rubbing my tire and making a terrible noise. I looked on Google Maps and found Rich's that was closest. I called an hour before they closed and told them what happened. Firstly, the receptionist asked if we were ok and then to come in right away. We came in, they drove my car a bit, fixed the problem, easy peasy. No charge and a smile. Thank you guys!”

“This shop is great, I had a terrible patch job done at another shop to replace a leaky oil hose and these guys got me in and back on the road fast. They got photos of the issue from the previous shops awful "fix" and replaced it with a metal hose. They kept the old hose to show me what previous "work" was done and showed me what it was replaced with. I brought the car in at 10:30am and it was done by 2pm. Thank you Sun Waelty for the great service and will definitely be back.”
