“I'm a restaurant manager at Steamers in Los Gatos ( for 30 years!) so I know excellent food quality. Zanotto's certainly delivers! The butcher's Ernie and Eric are fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable. Our restaurant recently started offering the Piedmontese rib eye steak that one of our customers brought in from Zanotto's to try. It's by far the best beef I've ever eaten, and I'm so glad to be turned on to it. I'm now a regular shopper there and every Monday I stop by for my weekly shopping. I had the pleasure of serving the owner's at Steamers-Troy and Patty, and had a chance to rave to them about their incredible products! And Patty's deli section is nothing short of amazing! I'd give this place 10 stars if I could!!!!”

“Over the pandemic, the staff performed acts of HEROISM, to make sure all the overloaded carts were processed, manage the line, go restock and swab down the carts constantly, limit the number of people in the stores. There's all sorts of new foodstuffs now, which is great, but I'm a little worried because a lot of young women from South Bay are all starting first jobs here in the workforce and a lot of customers will be a bit rude compared to the young men starting first jobs at Trader Joe's. I feel very sorry, if someone's in the way you should go put a three foot distance and wait for them to move even if it takes a minute, not go stand one foot next to them and say "excuse me" and "please" polite words and smile at them until they move out of your way. That's quite rude, not polite at all.”

“What a roomy store! There's lots of space between different sections to maneuver around, and a lot of self-checkout stations. Every section is fully-stocked, and the people who work there are very helpful and friendly. I was especially pleased with the nice selection of fresh flowers and reading glasses.”

“I really like this grocery outlet. It’s pretty small but they have a very good vegan food section. I went there tonight to get a specific vegan item and they didn’t have it, but they may have it in the future. The people there are nice and it’s usually not very crowded. It’s a great alternative to the Santa Clara grocery outlet, which is horrible. There was a recent change in ownership and they’ve decimated the vegan food section. It’s hard to even go there. It’s so sad. The prior owners were so much more vegan friendly. The new owners seem to enjoy dead animals. oh and parking is usually easy too.”

“This is the best surprise I had searching for groceries nearby. The best price and quality produce of meat, fruits, vegetables and authentic Mexican food. So lucky to have discovered it and encouraging everyone to try who cares about real quality and not fake brand advertising.”

“There are some things I found in the bakery department that are just absolutely addictive - as they have low to zero sugar, low to zero flavorings and just natural goodness. Those are the only things I buy here. Apart from that they have a good selection of fresh produce - which is very welcome. Prices are generally on the higher side with the whole "Organic" vibe. There's a lot of hipster type items as well which I don't care for. But hey it's all good if the quality is there - which I found was. Also it's clean and not stuffy. It's a great store to have in the neighborhood.”

“A bit pricey compared to Cash & Carry. It's more like a convenience store though. The store has most of the Indian grocery items that one might need. The staff is really nice to talk to!”

“Many bulk item products without the yearly membership fee. But unlike Costco, they carry Snapple and Gatorade Zero Variety packs at costs below what the large chain grocery stores sell even when on sale.”

“The shop is clean and well kept, and is at a good location. Some of the staff members (e.g., Jyot, and Upkar S.) are very friendly and are always ready to help. My wife and I prefer to go to this store, regularly, even though it is little far from our home.”

“I 'm impressed and think Chavez Supermarket is good. From walking and observing the entrance. I was greeted by a security officer. This is the first for me to experience. This just tells me hold your wallets and belongings lol!!! But in a serious tip. I can make a list of all the Mexican supermarkets where the meat department sucks, but this isn't one of them. Food is always super fresh. I will someday buy my meat products here. All staff is very welcoming and helpful. I super recommend the taqueria. Food is delicious and fresh made, and clean. I usually get super burritos carne a”

“This Safeway is one of two that I live close to, yet I prefer to shop at this store. The reason is that the Safeway Pick Up staff is always amazing and ready with my drive up order. I order groceries online and pick them up at least once a week. This not only saves me time but makes it so convenient. The team is always so helpful. Today, Yadira brought out and assembled my order. The produce was amazing. Thank you.”

“I happen to see the reviews and thought that the reviews were dated and did not reflect my recent experience. Good location. Easy parking which is important. Has everything I want. Clean and wide aisles. I am used to self checkout and I usually don't have to wait for more than a few minutes. The plaza has Starbucks, Wells Fargo ATM, other small stores.”

“This time I visited them few times for deshi groceries. Customer service is improved, no push sales. At the time of check out, gentleman reminded me to check expiry date for whole milk. That was a good reminder because the one I picked up that was about to expire in a day or two. Fish price is reasonable and cutting cost is 4 dollars now. I think previous I paid 5. The new young folk who is in Butcher shop is kind enough to make my packing the way my father ask for. Overall experience is excellent ?. Will come back soon.”

“Best Samosas in South Bay! They also have a good assortment of fried Snacks - try to grab them before they are over in the evening. Enough choices for Indian grocery items. I like the variety and also their cafeteria for fresh cooked meals. Ambiance is not very impressive but is pretty crowded generally and is good for Indian groceries”

“No surprise, especially no bad ones: go there when you want predictable & safe grocery shopping. Some branches, such as this one, offer a great choice of items somewhat unusual for US grocery stores, such as fontina, every fancy variant of Jameson Irish whiskey, many kinds of hard seltzers...”
