“Needed a new pair of 16oz gloves and the man behind the counter (sorry, I forgot his name) was very nice and knowledgeable about boxing gear. I was surprised at how small the store is once inside, but it is packed to the brim with gloves, helmets, wraps and bags. The cashier convinced me to start with some Outslayer gloves and assured me this was the way to go until I was ready to commit more to the sport. Felt like I learned a lot from just asking questions and trying on a pair of higher end gloves. The glove selection here is better than any other sports store in the area!!! “I have decided to take a new spin on my life and bought an Xpole Stage. Hehe. To be honest, I've only take 1 beginners pole class in my entire life HA. My new goals for next year and the many more years to come is to primarily regain my flexibility as I used to be physically active in high school when i was in cheerleading, dance, and consistently going to an open gym in my area to tumble. To start off, months ago, I learned about Xpole from a local Instagram influencer who I personally messaged and asked her a few questions about the pole and the quality. I thought to myself that I'm going to invest in and starting learning new things, like pole! Black Friday weekend was my chance and generally the poles that come with stages are not cheap. There is a flat rate shipping fee that Xpole is partnered with through USPS & FedEx. I also did an estimate online for the weight description of the stages and I believe that their partnership with these two shipping companies are better quotes than to have a family member pick it up at the store and then ship it to my location which is in Hawai'i. First, there was some issues along the way as I would first and most importantly (if you are committed to purchasing anything from Xpole) that you create an account with them. This will be helpful so that you can track your packages! However, thanks to Carolina Stone, Heydi Hernandez, and Roxanne Harvey, all of these women have made their communications with me through emails, phone calls, and even voicemails so that I can track my invoices and packages. The stage itself (i got the NST04) is 229 lbs. all together with the pole, they arrived within 15 days since my purchase in 4 separate packages. The packages might've been slightly tossed around (i don't blame anyone, they're freaking heavy packages) but when i started to unpack the items, all items were neat and secured. Each package included a bag so that you can carry the items all together. The bag for the base of the stage include wheels which you can install later on. It's also better to YouTube the installations as the manuals might be a little confusing but the YouTube video installation works especially if you're a visual person. The B-frame was too long for my ceilings. I know, my fault on not double checking the height from the floor to the ceiling. Anyways, i contacted all 3 ladies and the same day they left me a VM and recommended me to get a 1000 mm shorter extension. It came within 3 days, a day before 12/25! It fit perfectly & especially when assembling the B-frame into the A-frame. I was super stoked and I'm looking forward to learning more skills and tricks!”

“After two new hips, it was time to get myself some new tennis shoes. Everything SoHui suggested was spot on--after trying on a couple of styles-- the 990s were the way to go. Podiatrist recommended, she said, and I could see why. Huge difference for my aching legs and back. And she said they tend to run half a size bigger; also, spot on. I usually wear a 7-1/2 but the 7 fit purr-fectly! Plus, room for my orthotics (w/ New Balance's removable insoles, so smart). I noticed as I wore them for the first time today, not only are they a huge improvement over the ones I bought a few years back (very cushiony), they also give me some nice lift. I did the Yelp check-in and SoHui was happy to give me the 10% discount. All in all, a much better experience that I was expecting.”

Steve, the owner, worked with me to resolve an issue I had with a pair of skis I purchased that had some manufacturing idiosyncrasies. Not only did he honor an exchange, he took the time out to understand what I needed and give me his personal time, despite the fact that he was not making (if not losing) money on this transaction. And truly the only way to get outfitted with the best fit, unless you tried a demo, is to go to a store and experienced in person! With a recommendation from a fellow pickleball mate, I ended up at this store in downtown Calabasas! From the start, I was greeted very kindly by the store manager and a fellow staff member! The manager was very knowledgeable of the paddle trends, the game and fit for players! The store had many choices in stock, and others could be had quickly from vendors! The store had a Black Friday deal going on and demo paddles for half off! Many thanks for the manager in letting us know these deals! The purpose of this trip was for a paddle but was almost lured into buying a tennis racket too; the store offers the top brand of rackets! Also you can get your rackets stringed here! Hard to find that service these days! With great service, conversation and honesty provided, we will definitely be back and tell our friends about this gem!
