βI really want to support this grocery store. It is local and they do a pretty job with limited staff. I just wish they would stock the milk in the evenings when people need it. I can see lots behind the empty shelves, just out of reach. Happens every time :(β
βGreat super market. They have an indoor kitchen with a lot of traditional Mexican dishes that remind you of back home in Mexico. My first choice for Mexican food.β
βFrom the DELi here, we love the generous Salami sandwich on the Sourdough Roll, heavily delicious tri-tip sandwich on Dutch Crunch bread or Sourdough Roll, Hot Pastrami on French Roll, Tuna Melt. The sammys are stacked so perfectly they stay neat when eating despite being so full of meat & balanced w/ fresh toppings. We always enjoy the fruit bowls & chicken salad & plan to try that on a sandwich soon. Peroshkis available, outstanding chicken teriyaki & rice w/ broccoli & carrots, soups or a nice hearty chili, some Korean specialties, ice cream, Torani snow cones, fresh meats & sausages to cook at home, & to go green garden salads & various salads.
🥫He's got the SAUCE!! Featuring SF Bay Area brand PHiLTY MiLTY'S barbecue sauce, reallll south smoked style BBQ flavor, pickup a bottle to drown some links in! They're all superbly tasty, regular, hot, cherry-pineapple bbq sauce, reminds me of the custom sauces you get around town at the local fam bbq spots
The longtime family owned DELi inside has great fresh food options & He often closes the DELi counter around 5:30 weekdays 2:30 Sat, closed Sunday, located inside the market to Right 🥪🫶🌁 The sandwich shop side has been going since the 50s and has had the same owner over ~20yrs, he's great! Nicely remodeled as well, busy stop for workers at lunchtime or a take-home bite after the workday.

βLa Grande Market is a really nice local market in Hayward. I like stopping here because it’s convenient and they always have what I need. The store is clean and everything is well organized, which makes it easy to find things quickly. Ali is always there with a smile and great customer service. He’s very kind and helpful, and he treats customers like regulars even if it’s your first time there. That kind of service makes a big difference. Overall it’s a great neighborhood market and definitely deserves five stars.β
βThey have malasadas now, it was cooked perfectly and they have flavored ones, I got the chocolate, lemon and lilikoi filled. the lilikoi was delicious and included the passion fruit seeds...so fresh!! The lady at the counter had a steaming pot of fresh tamales. I got 2 and kicked myself because they were so tasty and moist. I want more, I will go there again next week..β

βOakwood Market has been a staple in East Palo Alto. The owners are very customer friendly and know their customers and community. They have variety of produce and proteins. The chorizo, breakfast sausage, party wings are a must get. Again they have a variety of things so go ahead and give them a try. Weather you're in Palo Alto , it's literally right over the bridge. They have a huge parking lot out side so you don't have to worry about that. Thanks again to the Oakwood family for taking care of the community and people. Much love.β

I get frozen dumplings, cheesecakes, pickles of many kinds quite often.
I venture out to get other things now and then.
I wish it was a bigger store with a salad bar, pirogi and hot dishes, such as golubtzi, kotlety, borch. And also holodetz would be nice.
If you like salmon caviar, buy it here. They sell frozen packages with a weight just a little over 1 kg. This caviar is delicious and not overly salty (like most of the canned caviar)β
βI went to the store on Rue Cardenas and found alot of fruit on sale, the store is very clean & organized, very nice prices. Walter was very nice he helped me definitely will recommend this store to anyone in the neighborhoodβ

If you go here for burritos, you will be incredibly delighted! $10 for a veggie burrito and a salsa bar that is always fresh and tasty.

βSeafood great choices, best out of those Asian market around the area. Meat section is the only bad part, limited choices for pork. Hotpot meat is best, waghu beef, lamb and pork are great. Much more choices than meimei and prepacked vegi not as much as Mei Mei.β
βIt may not have all things being it's a smaller store, hence the 4, but the staff is beyond helpful, friendly, and fun. Customer service is 5+ stars in all departments.β
βThe security guard misdirected me to aisle 5 instead of aisle 7 for laundry detergent, which I decided not to buy because I thought it overpriced. Then, feeling an insatiable need for breadsticks, I inquired from a couple of employees where they might be found and discovered that they are not sold at this store. All of my contacts with store personnel was positive though I made no purchase. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I plan on visiting again in the future.β

βThis is my family's favorite store. It has all authentic Asian food. I stock up on some things here because my city doesn't have a good place to get seasonings and some fruits or veggies. They also have a meat counter you can get fresh twice cooked pork glazed. You can get whole cooked duck or full pigs for special occasions. Very clean and organized.β

βLa Esperanza TriColor is a Mexican grocery that's been here a few years. there's limited parking nearby. found parking in front. offerings: meat dept. fruits & vegetables, mex. groceries, snacks, dairy, tamales, etc. eats: sweet corn, pork tamale (total: 4.98) 100% mexican -passed on chicken (usually dry) and cheese chili -the cream corn one was bigger, had cream corn embedded thruout tamale. -the pork meat was red coloured, slightly peppery in taste. yummy taste. -didn't look for drink since mex. drinks are also very sweet. *tamale tray is at left side of entrance.β
βThe store was great, as always. I was disappointed that I couldn't get a half gallon of Egg Nog. I did notice in the past view years that Egg Nog has been hard to find. I was also disturbed that the restroom was not very handicap accessible. The door did not have a remote door opener and the door was very heavy. And the stall door had a broken lock and another lock was very difficult to lock because the door frame was unsteady.β
βThis store has good items and on sale too. Used to come here a lot while attending college at East Bay a while back. Purchased a lot of their sandwiches and drinks for some good prices. There are not a lot of employees at the store which can make the store feel a little to daunting and the lights can be low on some aisles. You'll find what you need.β

βLions food market is excellent plus there's so many people working at the register that you'll never be in a long line plus there's so many good food and things that you could pick up buy coffee vegetables seafood fresh seafood meet there's all kinds of different things you can buy over there and what the best thing about it is they always serve you with a smile when they're at the register they're really humble I've been going over here for about 2 years or more and I continue to go over there because I love the different things they have in the shelf so I highly recommend this place because they're really humble in there they're kind attentive and they're really not that expensive there's all kinds of different items you can pick out of to buy so join me at the Lions food market because you'll never regret it there's so many things to buy fresh seafood fresh meat canned food coffee candy fresh vegetables rice and all they're all reasonable prices don't hesitate to come in the lions food market you just keep going back for more just like I do I love their Vietnamese coffee I drink that everydayβ

βI love this place I live on the same street so I go very often when I want snacks. It's a family business each one of them is so friendly and inviting. Since I'm always there they know me and I told the lady I recently got a job and that's why I haven't been there in a while and she was very genuinely happy for me she was happy to see me there. Their costumer service is the best they're all such sweet people,always in a great mood their great energy is appreciated.β
