“I live 300 miles from this store. I go every 6 months to get my favorites. A few weeks ago I got home and found a jar of sauce that was moldy, opened another one and it was as well. I sent an email to the store and was called the same day by the manager. He apologized profusely and put two jars of sauce in the mail to me today. WHO DOES THAT?? I am such a fan of Trader Joes and will always, always shop there. Kroger grocery stores don't care one bit. The fact that the manager of Trader Joes called me personally and put two jars of sauce in the mail today for me shows me what excellent customer service is. Thank you! Update Aug 4 2026: Blown away. Flabbergasted. I live over 300 miles from the nearest Trader Joes. Once a year I get to a store to purchase my favorite items. I was at the CO Springs Store in May and spent $250 on my favorite stuff. In Mid July I opened a jar of spaghetti sauce to find it moldy. I sent a message here and within 2 hours got a response from the manager. We spoke and he promised to make it right. Today I got home from a trip and found a box with 2 jars of the sauce, a package of noodles, and other goodies, delivered to my home via USPS. What other store does this? Omg I am so so impressed. Only issue is I wish that Amazon would let it's customers input how thin or thick(not my prefernce) you want your deli meats (sliced meat, salami, or bacon) cut. It's always to thick on some of the orders. Other then that I will always shop Whole foods. Why not they have Gelato Boy and Jeni's ice cream.”

“I placed an order for pickup at 1:15pm for pickup between 7-8pm and received a message that my order was delayed. I called to ask why and the gentleman that answered for that department was very friendly and knowledgeable. I asked about the deli meat I ordered and was told the deli was closed. He offered the pre-sliced as a substitute and let me know the other person in that department was currently shopping my order (only 2 workers in that dept)and he would let them know and that my order would be ready in approximately 10 minutes. I received the message that my order was ready for pickup at around 7:15-ish. The lady that brought out my order was so very friendly and packed all my groceries in my bags for me. That's why I love my neighborhood Safeway on Circle and Galley! Thank you all so much for making my shopping and pick-up run smoothly!”

“Small Indian grocery store stocked mainly with spices, canned goods, fresh produce and some frozen foods. My new favorite are Malaysian style parathas in the freezer next to the cash register. They come uncooked, you cook them in a skillet. Then you dip them in your favorite curry sauce. Great appetizer. The fresh vegetables selection is limited but he carries fresh lychee fruit when in season. He carries fresh curry leaves which are hard to find but are great in homemade curry. He also has homemade vegetables samosas on most days. These go quickly. When I am in the area I will stop by.”

With the high demand I have always been able to find my items with ease and usually am greeted kindly by staff. There at times is a police officer stationed near customer service in store which made me feel unsure if I was needing to feel unsafe. But overall a lovely place to get my food”

“King Soopers is the go-to supermarket for all my grocery needs. They offer a fresh selection of fruits, veggies, meat and seafood, as well as all the pantry and refrigerator staples needed to survive the incoming apocalypse. Some prices have gotten higher, though King Soopers offered digital coupons accessible from their app, due to rising demand and the economy. Many of the items are much cheaper from Amazon Grocery but you have to wait for delivery. King Soopers also offered delivery for an extra $9.99/month. You can also pick up your groceries in store for free. This store tends to be a bit busier than most others. Because of that, many items may not be in stock. It's always best to check the app for your local King Soopers' stock of items you may wish to grab in store. Otherwise, it's standard grocery fare. 4 stars.”

The Cincinnati-based supermarket giant will open about 110 new stores in fast-growing markets by 2029 and introduce three updated store formats, executives told investors Oct. 20 at the company’s Investor Update in New York. Kroger already runs about 2,700 stores in 35 states. The formats come in three sizes, a bit like small, medium and large, matched to each market. Mary Ellen Adcock, Kroger’s executive vice president and chief merchant and marketing officer, walked through the lineup.
Walmart shoppers want a head start on the holidays, and money explains a lot of it. Some 44% of respondents call affording the holidays their top stressor, and 61% say holiday costs shape their shopping mood. Asked what would make the season easier, 70% picked lower prices and 57% picked more deals and promotions. Convenience ranks lower: 30% want one-stop shopping across categories, and 20% want faster delivery.
Walmart wants your groceries at the door before the ice cream softens. On May 29, the retailer said its 30-minute-or-less delivery had reached 33 U.S. markets, adding a wave of new cities across the Northeast. Shoppers in those areas can order from more than 100,000 items, everything from fresh produce and baby formula to pet food, electronics, cold medicine, and prescriptions. Behind the scenes, the service leans on Walmart's store network and an algorithm that factors in order size, available drivers, and distance from the store.
Trader Joe's keeps adding stores, and shoppers keep showing up. The California grocer has marked nine more locations as "opening soon," pushing its expansion into new corners of the country. The grocer also took first place in the American Customer Satisfaction Index's 2026 supermarket rankings. It has held a spot near the top of that list for years.
Target is rolling out its most ambitious store overhaul in more than ten years, with plans to remodel over 130 locations and open 30 new stores across the country this year. The retailer is also putting money into supply chain technology upgrades to keep pace with how shoppers buy today.
