“I hope management is reading this review because the 5 stars is only for your team members and 0 stars for your self checkout terminals.
Just had the most ridiculously frustrating checkout experience that caused my two item checkout to turn into a more than 30 minute ordeal. The machines kept freezing, so I had to wait around while the computer and credit cards terminal rebooted. Then I was sent over to customer service to get more help.
I had to redo my checkout multiple times. I was finally able to get my order through and get my receipt, but then the cash box wouldn’t open. So I had to wait around again while they were trying to figure out how to open the cashbox. Someone finally came to get it open but not a single person apologized from management for the inconvenience. Really?
Huge shoutout to Ismael who stayed with me from start to finish to make sure this was resolved. Please give him a raise or I will poach him away to my office because he is the sweetest person ever.”
“Carpet install was great, the carpet looks great and stairs looks great. I helped by moving 90% of the furniture out of the way the day before and only left a couple larger items that needed to be moved for the carpet installation and the lack of care the carpet installers used on the items that needed to be moved by them was very disappointing. Scratches and marks on furniture moved was simply caused by lack of care.”
“Zach from the tool rental department was very helpful. Overall their prices are fair. However, beware this store apparently gets so busy sometimes that you could be on hold a good hour or so for the tool rental department.”

“I was in this store this morning after a terrible experience at the Chamber’s store. I quickly found what I needed and proceeded to a checkout cashier who’s name i believe was VANCE. This young man was a perfect example of what I believe HD expects from all their associates. This cashier welcomed me with a good morning, how’s your day and a smile. This type of professionalism is quickly recognized, it reflects fine character as well as good training. I was so impressed with this gentleman that I walked back into the store to locate the manager and to share my experience. Thank you to Vance and the management of this store.”

“Big chains frequently receive bad reviews, largely because of staffing issues and trickle-down effect (issue) related to those issues. I wanted to take a minute to give some much needed praise to the management team at the Aurora Home Depot #1501 and Sedgwick, their claims management company. Exactly one week ago I backed my big ol' pickup truck into a parking space just like I've done thousands of times before. From the view of my backup camera I could see that there was a tree just behind the curb of my spot, what I didn't see was the tree branch that protruded over and into my parking spot...then I heard the sound of glass shattering and knew that could only mean one thing. The very cool all-glass rear door of my extended-height topper must have hit something...but what? I could see the tree a safe distance from my rear bumper in my camera, I was perplexed. This is where the "picture is worth a thousand words" saying comes into play. Either Home Depot or Sedgwick could have said "you backed your truck into a tree and think it's our fault?" Rather, they both saw their liability in the incident and ponied up to pay the roughly $1K it's going to cost me to replace the rear door. Thank You!”
“Not a bad spot. The parking lot is usually pretty full. I recommend parking by the exit, that's where all of the registers are inside. I find it easier to get in and out this way. The staff always seem to be friendly too. We appreciate it. Thanks for all the hard work during these times.”

We scheduled the delivery and install as a surprise for my wife, while we were away celebrating our anniversary. The crew texted to coordinate location since I wasn't there—they were super fast and did it perfectly. We are so happy and it was such a wonderful, magical surprise! 5 stars for sure!!”
