“I’ve been traveling around the skate community for over 30 years, and one thing I always make time for in any town I visit is stopping into the local skate shop.
Why? Because skate shops aren’t just stores — they’re basically the community headquarters. You meet locals, sometimes find people to skate with, and honestly… every now and then you even catch a little shop drama when you roll in as an outsider ?. Some shops can be weirdly cold if they don’t know you.
But let me tell you — Colorado skate shops have always treated me right, and this one was no exception.
The moment I walked into 303 Boards on the Hill, the vibe was instantly solid. These guys were super friendly, genuinely welcoming, and before I knew it, we were going down a long nostalgic road of Colorado skateboarding history like I’d been part of the crew forever.
They’re not just nice either — they’re knowledgeable, helpful, and clearly know their inventory inside and out. Whether you’re looking for skate goods, gear, fresh clothing, or shoes… they’ve got you covered.
Bottom line: if you’re in the area and need anything skate-related (or just want to be around good people), this is your spot.”
“I did not go to the Newton Flagship Store, but I just had an experience with customer service and wanted to make sure that others knew about it. I just bought some Gravity 12s from the online store and I wore them a few times. I noticed that the sole of the heel was coming loose. I took a picture of it and sent it to customer service. I never heard back from them and I was getting frustrated with them. After about a week, I decided that I may need to find another running shoe. I got home from work one day earlier this week and there was a brand new pair of sneakers at the house! They were the same exact color and size! Nice! Thank you Newton!”

“I’ve bought shoes in the Pedestrian Shop for over ten years. I return because I’ve always had excellent help from the sales staff, all of whom are knowledgeable about fitting shoes and recommending ones that meet your current needs. Today I walked in and told Fernanda that I wanted a pair of shoes with Vibram soles, which I’ve found so excellent for safely handling the variety of surfaces and weather I encounter while walking my dog. But I wanted a lightweight warm weather shoe, rather than the heavier cold weather ones I used all winter. She suggested a new style by Merrill, helped me fine tune the sizing, and advised me on how to keep their pretty light summer color clean. I understand that this store is a family owned business and that there are stores only in Boulder and Denver. I think we are lucky to have it in town and appreciate the fine service they provide.”

Every time I come in there the staff is friendly and helpful- never had a bad experience and I ALWAYS find something for myself. Definitely make sure you swing by next time you’re on the mall. It’s hard to find gems like this!”
