We had her 100% house trained within 48 hours of her getting here. The transporter said he had never seen a German Shepherd as calm as her. She is a excellent watch dog. If you want a intelligent and beautiful dog, you need to contact Nancy. She strives to raise only the best German Shepherds.

13425 North Calhan Highway, CalhanVery convenient location for people like us (who live out here in the sticks) to get to, and I greatly appreciate that! The vet we saw when we first went in, unfortunately seemed to be intimidated by our dogs (a 4 yr old Border Collie x GSD and his 10 month old son who is x Great Pyrenees). They can be very intimidating, I get that, but that's also the way they're supposed to be, they are not just simply family pets, they're farm dogs who have to deal with coyotes and the like, so yeah, they can be scary. But when things are getting spooky out here where no one can hear you scream, you want a scary dog or two around! 😉 Lesson learned on my part, only take The Boys in one at a time, and on different days. Together, they're just too much chaos for everything within a 100 miles to deal with. 😏
But my dogs aside, Calhan Veterinary Clinic is a large and small animal practice. The staff is friendly and helpful, the vet was knowledgeable and he responded to my questions with informed answers.

10782 North Ellicott Highway, CalhanTim is awesome- he trained Nelli my black female lab. No nonsense, great communication and a great all around company. Tim will always be the guy who trains all my dogs. You get what you paid for!! I’m extremely happy to have a dog who’s great at obedience, and a phenomenal waterfowl and upland dog. I would put Tim and nelli up against anyone.

1000 5th Street, CalhanA pretty cool little gem in Calhan. One side is a sit down restaurant, and the other side is the bar. We sat on the restaurant side. The reasons I only gave four stars was the food was pretty salty, and we asked for a mix of fries and onion rings for my wife and only got the onion rings. Not a big deal, but they charge extra for the mix, and didn't provide it. I still highly recommend going though. The food was still good, and the service as well!
