Garden of the Gods Trading Post
Garden of the Gods Park, 324 Beckers Ln side, Manitou SpringsAn absolute staple of the park experience and the largest gift shop in Colorado! The Garden of the Gods Trading Post is a massive, historic adobe-style building featuring an incredible selection of local art, souvenirs, and a great cafe. It serves as a premier, highly convenient spot to grab a refreshing drink, relax on the shaded patio, and browse unique items after a rugged trail run or a fun day exploring the park with the family!

The Loft
110 Cañon Ave, Manitou SpringsWhat a fun vibe at this place! You can choose your flavor of bagel and then what you want on it. We went with the OG for two of us and the Farmhouse for the other. One of us had a coffee drink! Our bagels were a delight! We were there at 10am on a Thursday and they were busy! But you wouldn’t know it bc they got orders out quickly. Definitely will be a return stop for us!

Colorado Custard Company
906 Manitou Ave UNIT 100, Manitou SpringsI was worried this place would go downhill after Matt retired. The quality has remained and the custard is as good as ever. The staff was very friendly (we had Cameron this time), the prices are going up but that's true of everything these days. I really enjoy this place, it is a must do when we make it down to Manitou.

El Taco Loco
964 Manitou Ave, Manitou SpringsStopped in for some lunch, there are many restaurant options in the downtown area, packed with people.
We decided to eat Mexican food and this was a great selection. The restaurant is small, and so is the menu but the food is phenomenal.
We ordered a plate of nachos and a taco plate (2 types of meats). Unfortunately the aguas frescas dispenser wasn't functional so we got fountain drinks.
The meat was tender and the tortillas held up, instead of falling apart. The steak nachos were outstanding.
Highly recommend people stop by, the staff is super friendly and very helpful with suggestions.
Unfortunately, they only take cash tips, so if you pay with a card you don't have the option to add any.

Miramont Castle Museum and The Queen's Parlour Tea Room
9 Capitol Hill Ave, Manitou SpringsIf you’re visiting Colorado Springs, Miramont Castle Museum is an absolute must-see. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed by an incredibly friendly woman at the ticket counter who made the experience even more memorable. She shared a heartfelt story about her father, who was a firefighter, and it was one of those genuine conversations that sticks with you. I won’t spoil it—you’ll have to visit and hear it for yourself.
The castle itself is fascinating. The history behind the home is incredible, and every room has its own unique charm. The craftsmanship of the doors, windows, and architecture is simply amazing. You can tell there is so much history preserved within those walls, and it’s easy to appreciate the attention to detail from a different era.
My wife absolutely loved exploring every part of the castle, and we both left with a greater appreciation for its history and beauty. At the end before walking down the stairs we Prayed it was amazing. The staff made us feel welcome, and the entire experience was well worth the visit.
If you enjoy history, architecture, or just discovering unique places, don’t miss Miramont Castle Museum. We highly recommend it!!!

Happy Cats Haven
327 Manitou Ave, Manitou SpringsHappy Cats Haven is a phenomenal cat rescue. They prioritize the well-being of the kitties they take in and care for, and their “purrsonality” system for identifying which cats will fit best with which families is SO wonderful. Every shelter/rescue should use it!
We were looking for an active, confident, go-with-the-flow kitten for our child who was ready to take on the responsibility of taking care of his own cat, and we found her because of Happy Cat Haven’s attention to detail when describing her on her listing, and from the wonderfully in-depth talk we were lucky to have with Miss Linda when we met our kitten the first time!
HCH’s adoption by appointment process is so good for the cats, especially in such a populous area. This rescue really loves cats down. They take such good care of their rescues both physically/health-wise and also in the process of finding them the right homes.
Thank you for taking such great care of our girl until we were able to meet her and take her home 🩷
