“The spot is very close to the Beaver Meadows National Park entrance, which is tremendously convenient for going to Bear Lake, while the incredibly nice folks who run this resort will bend over backwards for you to make your experience a great one.”
“What an INSANELY GREAT PLACE!!! The view alone would be worth the stay! But it is a great location close to town and the staff incredible! Especially Hoffa and Simon. Will stay here again if just to avoid in-town traffic.”

“Beautiful location, not to mention the conveniency to RMNP! Was appreciative of the space, especially for the cost. Enjoyed sitting out relaxing by the river and the elk visiting! The only negative was that we were on the first floor and could hear the family above us.”

“Wow !! So Impressed !! From the first phone call to reserve to check out , it was a very pleasant experience. Dayna (the owner)
was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions about the Inn. But when we got there we could not believe how incredibly clean the rooms were!! They take pride in their establishment and it shows. Breakfast included was continental but still had alot of varieties . We would definitely stay there again !! Very close to downtown. Thank you for a pleasant stay
Dayna !”
“Great location and price. Very attentive staff. We were in a hurry to make our timed entry reservation at RMNP and forgot a couple of items. While we were at the local coffee shop, I received a text letting me know. We were able to go back and get the items and still make it to Bear Lake with time to spare. It was a great independent hotel option!!”

“We got the room with the river view and it was absolutely worth it. The hotel is located 10 mins form the fall river road entrance to the rocky mountain national park.
The room was small but clean and cozy where you could enjoy the river view. I wished they offered any hot breakfast items like eggs or waffles. Also, they have conflicting information regarding the hot tub and the pool timing. On the information tab in the room they mentioned that the hot tub and the pool closes at 9 pm whereas we later found out the pool actually closes at 10 pm. We were unable to use the pool at any day because by the time we returned from the park after our dinner we thought the pool was closed at 9 pm.”
“Everything is coded...no one to greet you.
The hot tub was small and underfilled and locked down by 9pm tight.
The rooms however..awesome beds..super clean bedding and room.
The room was very cozy and functional with a nice fireplace for mood setting.
Would I stay here again? Absolutely..great price..near the lake and with an Ebike..the downtown in just minutes away.”
“Della Terra is one of the best wedding venues in Estes Park that truly embodies a Rocky Mountain Wedding. With a beautiful outdoor patio for your ceremony and an open yet intimate indoor reception space, this venue offers the best of both worlds for couples. We're honored to be one of their preferred wedding vendors, and if you're looking for a special space for your big day, look no further!”

“★★★★★ An Elegant and Memorable 8th Anniversary Escape
Our stay at Taharaa Mountain Lodge was nothing short of exceptional and the perfect setting to celebrate our 8th anniversary. From start to finish, the experience reflected true boutique-level hospitality and thoughtful attention to detail.
Upon arrival, we were delighted to find flowers, champagne, and chocolate-covered strawberries awaiting us in our room — an elegant and romantic welcome that immediately made us feel celebrated and valued as guests.
We stayed in a beautifully appointed, super-spacious suite featuring a jetted tub, cozy fireplace, and an exceptional, unobstructed view of the Rocky Mountains. From our window and private deck, we were also able to enjoy views of wildlife, which made the experience feel even more special and immersive. The combination of comfort, privacy, and scenery created a truly relaxing and intimate retreat. The suite, along with the entire property, was immaculately clean and meticulously maintained.
Tobi, the concierge, provided impeccable service — warm, professional, and genuinely attentive. Having owners Thad and Sandra onsite added an elevated personal touch that is rare and deeply appreciated. Their presence and interaction with guests clearly demonstrate the pride they take in maintaining such a beautiful and well-run property.
Breakfast each morning was beautifully prepared and delicious, offering a perfect start to each day. The on-site Twin Owls Steakhouse provided a top-tier dining experience without ever needing to leave the property.
The location is ideal — private and tranquil, yet just minutes from Estes Park, Rocky Mountain National Park, and the Stanley Hotel, where we attended the New Year’s Eve Crystal Ball masquerade celebration. Being only about 30 miles from Boulder made the lodge easily accessible while still feeling like a secluded mountain sanctuary.
Taharaa Mountain Lodge is an outstanding choice for couples seeking an upscale, romantic getaway or celebrating a milestone occasion. Our 8th anniversary was made truly special, and we look forward to returning.”

“I loved my stay here! Had i known I'd enjoy this hotel as much as I did i would have come up a night earlier. I got a room with the jet tub and mini kitchen space. There was outdoor furniture right outside our door on a private deck that we sat at night looking at the starts. There was also propane grills available for use that were clean and well maintained. The pool and hot tub area was nice. I really enjoyed the hot tub! It was clean big and powerful jets. I'd like it if there wasn't kids aloud in but that's just a personal preference. There is a movie room with dvds people can take back to their room and board games. There breakfast was really simple but with so many places to eat near but it's not a big deal. Overall a great stay and we will be back!”

“We had a great stay here and would definitely stay again. The room was very clean, and you could tell it was well taken care of. The staff was friendly every time we talked with them, and everyone was helpful.
The breakfast was good with plenty of options, and the coffee machine in the lobby was a nice bonus before heading out each morning. We also appreciated having a ceiling fan in the room, which isn't something you find in every hotel. The views from the property were beautiful, and there was plenty of parking. We didn't get a chance to use the pool or hot tub, but they both looked nice.
Overall, this was a great place to stay while visiting Estes Park, and we'd definitely book here again.”
“Wonderful place to have a large event. We had our wedding reception here. The catering was exceptional and the space had the most amazing views. Also the space rental was very reasonable and within our budget unlike some of the other venues in Estes Park.”
“We 26 hikers from NJ stayed in the inn. The inn was fantastic catering to our needs. In fact, the front office staff took extra effort o accommodate our hiking needs. Highly recommend it. It is clean and spacious.”

“My husband and I just stayed here in Unit 9, The Den, and we absolutely loved our stay! The unit had everything we needed, plenty of space, a great hot tub with a great view of the river. It was so handy having a kitchen too! The location is perfect for a visit to Rocky Mountain National Park and it’s also very quiet and peaceful. The staff is very friendly and we would 100% stay here again!”

“We stayed here for a couple of nights as a jumping off point to RMNP. This is a really good budget motel option for an area that typically has high prices. The rooms are spacious and clean, but not super modern. The main knock on the room is the tiny showers - probably smaller than a cruise shower. Otherwise, this is comfortable for a place to sleep at night. The breakfast provided is small but has adequate options. My main complaint on the breakfast is the hours. A 7:30am start on breakfast is super late for being a National Park hotel that a lot of people start earlier in the morning. We were only able to leverage this on the morning we checked out as a result. I recommend this hotel with only a couple small issues.”
“My sister took me here for an overnight getaway for my birthday and it was a really nice hotel. The rooms are super comfortable. We loved the fireplace in our room and we roasted some marshmallows outside over the fire pit.All of the staff were welcoming and helpful. The scenery was beautiful and it felt like a winter wonderland. Wish we could have stayed longer!”
“Our stay have been lovely. Quiet space tucked into the pines. We booked online and didn't realize there are 2 locations in town. We expected the one with a fire pit and Casa Colina...we had the other. It was nice, but just be aware in case you are wanting the extra amenities.”
“We made a day trip out of it from Denver. We did the historical, shining and haunted tour. Our favorites were the historical and shining. The guides were enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The hotel has tons of good photo opportunities and the food and drinks are great. Don't miss out on the strawberry oreo ice cream in the cafe!”
“For the price, it's very reasonable and nice. Staff was friendly, there was a game room, and at the end it's a place to stay. If other reviews are bad, I mean this is a 2 star hotel, there are Ritz Carltons around, if you want to stay there.
Again great place, 3 min from Estes and 10 min from the Rockies”
“This is the best place in Estes Park. My other family stayed at the Stanley and was jealous of our amazing accommodations. The gentleman helping us with our stay was also a delight.”
