“We stayed at the Roadhouse for a long weekend to enjoy some skiing and meet up with friends. Inga was beyond accommodating for us and kindly extended our stay at the last minute due to a snowstorm. We stayed in the Kendall room which had a super comfy bed, heated blanket, space heater, and a great view of the stage of the venue which I hear is a BLAST during the summer season! The room also had a very spacious bathroom with a heated toilet seat (wonderful in the winter!!) and huge shower. There is a comfy common area I enjoyed reading in and full kitchen which was super convenient. We had such a great stay can’t wait to come back this summer!”

“I haven’t had the pleasure of staying here yet- I had planned a trip that unfortunately did not work out very last minute. But Shirley went out of her way to help accommodate me, and problem solve, and stayed in communication with me for days while we resolved my issue with making the trip happen. She has got to be one of the most friendly, helpful, kind people I’ve ever talked to! Shirley, even over the phone, is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever encountered!! “Nice location, old West vibe which was fun staying in Silverton . No AC but at night that was fine with fans and open windows. Very nice owners and good communication. Stairs kinda steep for carrying heavy luggage so be carefull. Excellent location, safe, quiet. We stayed Sultan 3. Oh, owners, please secure the toilet seat.”

“Stayed Sept. 2023, rooms have been renovated, very clean, bed comfortable, and balcony was a nice plus. Would definitely stay again. We had an unexpected maintenance issue late evening. All maintenance and parts places were closed. Owner was more than fair for our inconvenience.”
“The Avon is the antithesis of the corporate hospitality experience in the best way. Character in skis towns is in limited supply, and the Avon has it in spades. History, charm, and well maintained. Sitting in their common room felt like hugging a long lost friend. I won’t forget my time here and look forward to many more visits.”
