“This is a magical corner of the universe - don't skip the print shop part. I've been twice now. The second time I stumbled into the print shop and was ushered into an impromptu and fascinating tour of the shop, printing, and found myself examining vintage and freshly created slugs (typesets) in the shop collection. Rick, the owner, was there, and invited me to make a print for myself. He's amassed thousands of slugs and tools, machines and gadgets, over thirty years. And he is more than happy to share his love of printmaking, collage, and books with you. We don't have many places like this anymore, anywhere. At least, not in the Midwest United States. You'd be sad if you skipped out. Come with an open mind, curiosity, and knowing that you'll meet new friends!”

“Always a joy to walk into this B&N. Bookstores are my happy place though. Help always available. I've never encountered a staff member who seemed like they didn't want to be there. They all like their job.
Sections labeled well and in order. Large enough aisle space between shelves to allow customers to loiter in an area of interest. A few places to sit and look through books to help make book choice decisions instead of standing and juggling them. It would nice to see benches like you might see in a shoe store to sit for a few minutes too.”

“What a sensational bookstore! We got a quick orientation from the staff and then descended on the travel section and left with four great used books. They’re in really good condition and the price was only three dollars each. Can’t wait to come back, but we might have to consider membership!”
“This is my favorite Catholic gift shop! I find all I need here to support our religious life, whether it be gifts, books, incense, statues, cards, veils, etc. I most appreciate the children’s materials that complement our homeschool curriculum. Every single time we have come in here, we are treated like family. My children are welcome, and I am always so happy to see the owners and employees. This is definitely the place to go for a wide selection of goodies.”

“What a wonderful gem! THIS is the place to go for Catholic books especially. Every book I’ve had my eye on and many that weren’t even on my radar are on these shelves. Lots of beautiful children’s books and coloring books, lovely prints, statues, jewelry, etc. Everything you need for gifts or to treat yourself. The owner was so friendly and helpful. “Ok so the original Black & Read a few miles north is amazing, but this little hole in the wall storefront is still full of charm!! I feel like it gets a bad rap being compared to the other store. But we had fun (and love eclectic records!). Lots of great records, great prices, and is far more organized than other (very old) reviews claim. If you want a quick stop for some good tunes, a family game, or something to read, definitely stop in (on Saturdays!). We'll be back for the next treasure hunt”
“Well, I already forgot the name of the awesome girl who helped me out, anyway she was great, very knowledgeable, friendly and fun, she laughed at my morbid sense of humor and wasn't offended, thankfully there are some people, like her still out there! I think maybe her name was Kara?? Anyway, give that girl a raise! If I was straight, I'd be macking on her, lol. Also, I think that I may like Fascinations better than Romantix now, although the lube selection was disappointing and expensive but it's all good. Happy orgasm!”
“I would like to give a huge thank you to Mia, Clarissa, and Laura ( and all the staff at the Regis Bookstore) for helping me navigate the new Follett Access program! It has saved me a lot of money paying for my books and being able to have them packaged for me for pick up. All of the employees are extremely helpful and kind. I felt so compelled to write this review as today I witnessed another customer who was completely rude and racist to the staff. They handled it with tact and elegance even when the woman tried to throw the receipt at them over a 25 cent price difference. Thank you for all the hard work you do for the students and always being kind and helpful to whoever may come in the store.-Mark”

“I had a really bad experience with an online book purchase. I was very thankful Matt Anderson was the one running the store.There was an extremely complicated glitch and he fixed it. I was very upset initially and he came to the rescue! I know not just anybody in there would have been able to fix it.”
“Don’t be scared away by the bad reviews. Similar to some of the negative reviews, my friends and I walked in and were told that the store would be closing shortly. We asked if we could look around quickly and Ray said that was fine. We ended up finding a cool vintage comic book and bought it, at which point we had a very long and pleasant conversation with Ray about the store. Turns out they really were closing early because he was going to an event (not lying like a lot of the reviews suggest). He was very kind and helpful. Based on the negative reviews, I’m guessing he’s just frustrated with people spending hours in the store looking around without intending to buy anything.”

“This Barnes & Noble is great! They have so many more options now—especially in the romance/dark romance/young adult section. It even has its own little nook, and I found a lot of books I normally had to order on Amazon. I love that they finally expanded the selection at this location. Totally recommend it to romance readers (whether you want a hard copy for your shelf or just some inspiration), and they have plenty of other options too—my fiancé found books he liked as well.”
