“This is a magical corner of the universe - don't skip the print shop part. I've been twice now. The second time I stumbled into the print shop and was ushered into an impromptu and fascinating tour of the shop, printing, and found myself examining vintage and freshly created slugs (typesets) in the shop collection. Rick, the owner, was there, and invited me to make a print for myself. He's amassed thousands of slugs and tools, machines and gadgets, over thirty years. And he is more than happy to share his love of printmaking, collage, and books with you. We don't have many places like this anymore, anywhere. At least, not in the Midwest United States. You'd be sad if you skipped out. Come with an open mind, curiosity, and knowing that you'll meet new friends!”
“This legendary store has grinded its way to an upgraded space. It keeps it's enchanting charm while being more spacious yet still completely filled to the brim with merch of all sorts”
“Michael the book clerk politely listened to me disassociate about various issues in the Warren report and the 9-11 commission report. Burning furniture and carpet debris and WTC7. Confirm for yourself. They had a Grateful Dead book a $10 Elvis large coffee table book and I picked up a hardback on the jesuits for $10 and the psychonauts handbook PIHKAL. Foundational denver book store with only the uncut raw stock”
“Really cool building to go into also they are doing Dark Side tours of Denver in there for like a paranormal experience get a hold of Rachel at Darkside tours it's well worth it”
“Such a beautiful, cozy bookshop! The staff is so friendly & they have a great selection. My favorite part was looking through the custom bound books with gold pages. Each one was a work of art & I felt like a kid in a candy shop! I hope to be back soon to explore the shelves again 😊”
“Awesome shop! Will definitely be back when I'm ready for my next in series. Support Local!
Went in with my friend and together we bought over 10 books.
Would love to see more M/M+ Omegaverse in the future so will be on the lookout!”
“I love this Barnes and Nobles. I come here often enough to know the staff and they are all amazing and give me such good recommendations. They always go above and beyond and are so kind to my kid who is always looking for his next read.”
“Fun place to visit. Has cafe with some baked goods. They sell books, manga, comics and other things. Stand up comedy downstairs. Photo booths and pinball machines. Very friendly staff.”
“I’ve been to this bookstore a couple times. It’s cute, cozy and the employees are kind. My struggle is that there is not a lot of representation of people of color both in characters and authors, especially in fiction options. I wish there was more urban/contemporary fiction. I appreciate that there was a small display of some black history books in celebration of Juneteenth this last time I visited - given that it’s June.”
“Sweet hole-in-the-wall spot for used and new punk and metal records. Staff were friendly and helpful when I asked if they had certain items in store, and I found what I was looking for! Will be returning ti browse further.”
“Book Blast was an amazing event for our school! It was super easy to work with their team, organization was on point, and the students absolutely loved their books! Thank you for making this event so easy, special and memorable!”
“Staff is very friendly and has lovely selection of used books! Lots of great deals for good reads. Cool first editions to check out and signed books as well. Beautifully organized and large selection- will be a regular here!

“We stopped by yesterday before catching a flight home. The woman (with the purple hair) tending the store was really friendly. Our son ended up coming home with some lovely petrified wood. My wife told me this was like a science museum but way better, because you can see and touch the rocks and minerals. Thank you for chatting it up with us and making us feel at home here.”
“This is a fun Barnes and Noble store. The layout is good, it has a section for toys and then separately a young reader section so children have multiple areas to enjoy themselves while picking out books and toys. As a bonus it is connected to the largest Game Stop that I have ever been to.”
“The staff at Barnes & Noble were very helpful and friendly. Gweny, I hope I got that right! Was super nice and very helpful. Thank you!🙏🏻”
“Little Horse Vintage is one of those rare places that keeps surprising you the longer you explore. The pricing is fair, the staff is incredibly friendly and honest, and there’s no pressure while you browse. What looks like a small shop from the outside quickly turns into room after room of amazing finds.
Whether you’re looking for books, vinyl records, vintage clothing, stereo equipment, collectibles, or unique treasures you didn’t even know you wanted, there’s something around every corner. I honestly don’t think it’s possible to see everything in a single visit. Every time you think you’ve reached the end, there’s another section waiting to be explored.
If you enjoy treasure hunting and discovering unexpected gems, plan on coming back more than once. This is the kind of place that rewards curiosity, and each visit feels like a new experience. Highly recommended for book lovers, record collectors, vintage enthusiasts, and anyone who appreciates a well-curated collection of unique items.”
“Love me some second and Charles. Amazing selection of comic books both hardcover and original. Great pricing buy sell trade, bringing your old stuff leave with new. Nice place”
“Easy to access this place, and it has coffee. Everything looks well organized and its easy to find what you're looking for. The kids section is big which my son enjoyed. The staff is friendly.”
“Love this little place! I’ve been coming since I was a kid and I highly recommend giving yourself at least half an hour to browse the shelves for treasure.”

“If you are looking for beautiful handmade rosary's that are blessed by the Catholic church. You can find them at the house of Carmel religious gifts. They have a variety of spiritual gifts and home decor as well.”
“I've been coming here since I was a teenager. Now in my early 40's with my beloved 21 year old cat dying, this company was here for me. They got crystals for my cat, myself, sage and a ritual to read after she passes. I cannot say enough good things about this company - they take care of women through all stages in their life.”
“What a wonderful gem! THIS is the place to go for Catholic books especially. Every book I’ve had my eye on and many that weren’t even on my radar are on these shelves. Lots of beautiful children’s books and coloring books, lovely prints, statues, jewelry, etc. Everything you need for gifts or to treat yourself. The owner was so friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this shop!”
“This location is easily the best one in Denver. The atmosphere is welcoming, the selection is great, and the staff are always incredibly friendly. Alex has helped me several times and always gives thoughtful recommendations that end up being exactly what I was looking for.
I love stopping in and browsing whenever I take the train into town — it’s become one of my favorite parts of the trip. Definitely one of my favorite spots in Denver.”

“What a great bookstore! I was visiting from out of town and needed some reading material for the flight home. The staff was warm and friendly and super helpful! 5 stars!”
“Been here many times, sometimes looking for something specific and they never let me down. If you want it they got it whether its big and scary or small and cute they got it! Always plenty of parking. Awesome people whom work they never make you feel uncomfortable about being interested in any product. Great store through and through.”
“Ok so the original Black & Read a few miles north is amazing, but this little hole in the wall storefront is still full of charm!! I feel like it gets a bad rap being compared to the other store. But we had fun (and love eclectic records!). Lots of great records, great prices, and is far more organized than other (very old) reviews claim. If you want a quick stop for some good tunes, a family game, or something to read, definitely stop in (on Saturdays!). We'll be back for the next treasure hunt”
“I always love stopping into whales tale and have gotten so many great books from this location. You never know what you will find they even signed editions sometimes! This was what I got yesterday!”
“Always have new items Hugh selection of videos and magazines. Any toy you can think of they have it i mean light colors dark colors, big, small, long, thick, or skinny they got it. Rechargeable and non electric. They got party Games and sell candy, soda, water, energy drinks and vitamins. Great prices. Ask about current sale items.”
“Love Colleen, I’ve been casually looking for the third book in a series, to the point where it was no longer casual, and she put it on hold for me. She’s an angel, and I find that most of the staff is just like her, no matter what time we go.”
