“Good club but could use more group classes other than zumba. Please add more yoga and body works classes for non-silver sneakers. We could also use the Saturday and Sunday class options. The instructors are awesome and the club could certainly benefit from more class day options.”
“I take OT classes at various locations, but this is one of my favorites. Samantha is awesome, motivating and makes classes fun (even when the power goes out 😉). I am very happy that I decided to join Orange Theory. The membership is a great investment into my health, it is worth every penny.”

“I went here for my first ever f45 class today. I don’t live nearby so they knew up front I would only be here for a single class. Despite knowing that, everyone was warm, welcoming, and helpful. Coach Damian greeted me (as I stared blankly at the weight floor after walking in) and paired me up with Juliet for the class, who was taking the class but is also a coach. The class was clear and easy to follow, even for a first timer. Damian was great and unobtrusively checked in to be sure I had some idea of what was going on. Juliet also checked in while doing her workout to give me some basic coaching help, again in a kind and unobtrusive way. Class was amazing. I would highly recommend both Damian and Juliet. Will definitely be back when I’m in town!! Ps- I have no doubt you will crush it at your upcoming hyrox, Juliet!!”

“Elle & her staff at MyGym are fantastic. I started taking my now 2 year old there over a year ago and she absolutely loves it! From circle time to activity stations to independent & group play it has been a great experience. My daughter knows exactly where we are when we enter the parking lot & has gotten so much more comfortable in the classes. Highly recommend!”

“Madhouse Gym is more than just a place to lift weights — it is a community built on motivation, discipline, and support. From the moment you walk through the doors, the atmosphere feels different from a typical commercial gym. Instead of people simply going through the motions, there is a culture of hard work and encouragement that pushes everyone to become better versions of themselves.
One of the best aspects of Madhouse Gym is its atmosphere. The energy inside the gym is intense, focused, and motivating. Whether someone is training for powerlifting, bodybuilding, athletics, or simply trying to improve their health, the environment inspires people to work harder. The music, equipment, and overall vibe create a setting where members feel excited to train instead of viewing workouts as a chore. Unlike overcrowded chain gyms where people often keep to themselves, Madhouse creates an environment where dedication and effort are respected.”

“I joined Row House Monroe in March 2024 during a very difficult period in my life and needed something structured, challenging, and grounding. I had never rowed before, but the coaching and team environment immediately made me feel supported and capable.
The workouts are tough, smart, and extremely well-coached. The coaches care deeply about form, progress, and helping each person get stronger. Showing up consistently gave me focus and momentum at a time when I needed both, and being part of a team that genuinely invests in its members made a real difference.
Row House helped me build real physical strength, endurance, and confidence. Just as importantly, it reminded me that by focusing on myself and committing to hard work, I had the power to handle whatever came next. Physical strength became mental resilience.
I am healthier, stronger, and happier today, and I truly do not believe I would be where I am without this studio. If you are looking for a challenging, supportive, team-driven workout with exceptional coaching, I cannot recommend Row House Monroe enough.”

The community is supportive and welcoming of every person who walks through the doors. This is truly a space for everyone of every age and ability.”

“After a great lunch we decided to visit this location because it was convenient and wow, what a pleasant surprise. The gym was immaculately clean, bathrooms well stocked and maintained and great equipment. I also tanned and and really enjoyed their stand up bed. The staff were also great, friendly and helpful. Five stars guys”
“Hi!
I’ve been coming here for about a month now and I’ve really enjoyed my experience so far.
I really appreciate the professionalism of the team, the relaxing atmosphere, and the overall environment of the club.
It feels much more welcoming and lifestyle-oriented compared to many traditional gyms.
Thank you to everyone for creating such a great experience.”

“Planet Fitness Derby a pleasant gym that I visit once a week. It is not over crowded. I can get to the equipment I like with proper distance from others. It is clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful. During the recent construction, I encountered an issue in the ladies' changing room. I was able speak to a female staff and she was able to resolve the issue promptly. I really appreciated her assistance! Go PF Derby! Keep up the good work and I will see you soon.”
“My girls love training with Jason and the rest of the staff here at Just Tumble. They’ve learned many new skills and have grown so much since they started here, in both skills and confidence. Jason (along with the other coaches) has really taken the time to work with them to help develop their confidence. In addition to the classes and lessons, they offer a lot of fun camps and clinics. A very positive environment with knowledgeable and motivating coaches. Highly recommend!”
“I trained w/ Brian from last May 2022 thru early 2023. Not only was he great to work with, he is encouraging, knowledgeable, funny and straightforward. He makes training/working out fun and worthwhile. I learned a lot and continue to put into practice what he taught me (from what I can remember). He would fit me into his schedule 9/10 times, even on short notice. If he couldn't, I would go to PF or take a night off. The only reason I stopped going was a financial one. When I started, I was in a better financial position. But as time went on, my situation changed. He and Joni were very accommodating and understanding of my situation. I'm hoping to continue with Brian in the near future once my situation changes. I have a trip planned for March 2023 that I need to be in shape for. I highly recommend Body Physics.”

“I’ve been a loyal Planet Fitness member for over 20 years. My original home gym was in East Haven, which was a spacious, two-floor facility that I loved. When I transferred to the Amity location in New Haven, the transition was a bit tough the space is much smaller and more limited. The staff at this gym are consistently friendly and genuinely helpful, I truly appreciate their positive attitude and willingness to assist.
Recently, my fiancée and I returned from a few weeks abroad, only to walk into what felt like a completely different gym. While I fully support upgrades and new equipment, it’s frustrating when major layout or equipment decisions are made by people who clearly don’t use this location or understand its day-to-day challenges.
As I’ve mentioned before, space at Amity is already tight. My fiancée and I typically come after work, around 6–6:30 PM one of the busiest times of the day. During this time, the gym is packed, often with large groups of students from Southern, many of whom use multiple machines at once without much regard for gym etiquette. It becomes nearly impossible to complete a workout efficiently.
Given all this, I’m baffled by some of the recent equipment changes. Why would you remove the 2 hip abductor machines & the 2 hip adductors and leave only one that does both? Why cut the already limited number of cable machines, especially the one in front of the free weights, which is constantly in use? Now there’s a line just to use basic equipment it’s turning into chaos.
I genuinely care about this gym and want it to be a space that works for everyone, but these recent changes have made it incredibly difficult to get a proper workout. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and reconsiders the current setup.”
“I love working out here! The facility is always clean and the staff is super friendly and welcoming. Plus, the variety of equipment makes it easy to switch up my routine and stay motivated!”
“I actually visited as a complete outsider. What I mean by that is they hired me to DJ an event and I witnessed the most friendly and patient staff. I also work with adults who have cognitive challenges and my eyes are always open to how I see others treat them. I was EXTREMELY impressed by the entire team.”

“Small gym with everything you need, reasonable pricing, locally owned, upstairs area with turf, extra dumbbells and extra platforms and racks. Try to avoid the busiest times like 5:30-7:30 when they have trainers helping there clients and a class going on upstairs blasting music.”
“This is one of the best branches. I ve been a member for over 15 years. The staff is helpful and professional. The club is always clean with good air quality. No BOs like some other clubs. They offer a wide variety of options for PTs & classes.
I recommend it 100% 💪.”
“This place is a game changer. As someone whose only done at-home workouts and came into this 5+ years out of shape (and 50lbs heavier), it's been a great experience. The trainers know how to push you and encourage you, a lot of positivity, and friendly environment all around. If you are worried about being intimidated jumping into some intense training.... don't be. Everyone here wants to see you succeed.”

“Old School gym. Thorough and only for the strong and hard working. If you know what work means, this gym is for you. I trained here for a short time when I was in college. The routine and the confidence building is one of a kind. Brian Clark is a great trainer.”
“Clean facility with lots of competition equipment (especially the number of racks and plates!), as well as a variety of machines and plenty of dumbells. The staff is so friendly too and powerlifting meets held here have been great (except for there only being one bathroom)”
