“I read about Heck's on social media- and have gone four times! The best and most interesting thrift store I have really ever seen! I always get tons of treasures for dirt cheap. I am going today before my 11:30 am shift starts. Yea! The atmosphere is relaxed chic shabby just like me! Don't change a thing but maybe add Thurs hours if possible.”

“Had a delivery window of 8am to 11am. Had a knock on the door at 7:30am and found my chair and 2 delivery men in my driveway! I wasn’t even up yet! But they brought in my chair and set it up in 5 minutes and were done! Never had such an early and quick delivery before. And I love my new chair!”

“I had a great experience Hussain as a representative the couch was in great condition. My only concern was that the center console did not work and they did not want to discount it. They wanted to sell it for the same price it would cost if it actually worked. If this is a scratch and dent section why not get rid of the item that does not work? I feel like that should’ve easily been discontinued to keep the customer happy as it was with the sectional that we purchased. No one was coming back to buy a broken center console.”

“Two things. First on the website it states at the Newington store the box spring was in stock. It is not, no box springs are…. To get a box spring in Newington you must visit Bob’s, order, and pay for the box spring then it can get shipped to the store where I come and get it… I’m still awaiting the call to pick up this box spring.
Second, I didn’t appreciate that I asked for the $150.00 and the sales person started ordering the $250.00 until I had it changed.
If the box spring is not what I was sold I will come back and give 0 stars. Thank you for improving.”
“Excellent lighting store with more than enough options! They also have decor and other home needs.I personally used them to do a restoration of a 50+ year old lamp. Price came out to much less than I expected and the lamp is now in perfect working order. Highly recommend for lamp restoration/repair.Employees are welcoming and kind. The store is pet friendly. Parking lot is a shared lot.”

“Pompanoosuc Mills is magnificent! When my wife and I were renovating our dining room, we searched at length for a company that employed American carpenters and cabinetmakers, used sustainably harvested wood supplied by American lumber companies, and sold furniture directly to their customers at competitive prices. Pompanoosuc met these criteria. We visited its store in West Hartford, Connecticut and asked for guidance in selecting several pieces of furniture, including a table, chairs, sideboard, and console. Kristen, the saleswoman, devoted hours to our exploration and related inquiries. She was very knowledgeable. Equally important, she was patient. Our interactions with her were always pleasant; we would not have realized the objectives of our renovation without her thoughtful guidance. After we submitted our order, Kristen and the store’s manager, Rebekah, were conscientious in keeping us informed throughout the manufacturing process. On delivery day, my wife and I were impressed by Ian and Nate as they carried the furniture from their large Pompanoosuc truck the length of our driveway to our house. They arrived with hearty handshakes, took off their shoes to avoid damaging the floors, and positioned the furniture exactly as we requested. And every piece of furniture was perfect!All aspects of our experience as customers of Pompanoosuc Mills were spectacular. The company would be a worthy subject at business schools analyzing the culture of excellence - - trustworthiness, customer-focused service, and passionate workforce. Dwight Sargent, who founded Pompanoosuc Mills approximately 50 years ago, remains involved in the business. “Obviously these stores are a hit everywhere you go! Ailes are a bit small which I think is normal, but this specific location has two guys out front trying to sell candy sometimes. Management says they’re doing something about it but every time I stop by they’re always there. Only reason I dropped the star.”
