Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Broken Symmetry
5 Depot Pl, BethelI love coming to this tiny gem in bethel to enjoy the in house beverages and a nice range of appetizers, entries and desserts. The staff are always welcoming and have a great energy with providing service. The place is very intimate considering it was once Bethel’s former train station. You have the option to dine outside during the spring and summer seasons.
Right in the middle of town, you will need to make reservations for groups.

Roadside Eats
44 Stony Hill Rd, BethelMy husband and I were in the area and craving a hot dog, so we decided to give Roadside Eats a try. We’re not super familiar with options in the area, so Google led us here as the most convenient choice. Definitely a no frills spot, but the girl behind the counter was nice and since we were eating in, she brought the food to our table and didn’t have us pay until the end, which was sweet of her. My husband did the double dog, which came with chili, cheese, and bacon, and it satisfied his craving. I did a plain dog and a Texas dog minus the chili. Loved that they were footlongs! We also shared the Colombian empanadas, which were fine. Not bad for when you want a quick meal in Bethel.

Biksbee’s Eatery
211 Greenwood Ave, BethelAn enthusiastic shout out to Biksbees in Dolan Plaza!! I can’t believe I have never had your burgers until now, but it has literally filled a sad gap in my life that has been there for a while(!), satisfied a massive craving last night, and made me so ridiculously happy (it was that good!!) And the fact that it was affordable (ie not $20 for just the burger), well, means I will be back—regularly!!
But let me talk about the burger: it was huge (we were hungry, so got the 8oz; there are two sizes to choose from!!) You had gluten free buns (well, bread, but it worked, and it was beautifully grilled, so who cares.) It was cooked to perfection (you can specify online—on Toast) exactly how you want it cooked. And it was GRILLED—like it had that “on the grill” deep flavor (without being charred.) And the types, and toppings!! Oh my!! SO many to choose from; you could have burgers for days and not get bored. We got ours with 2 sides of large sweet potato fries (like I said, we were hungry), which were also perfect—fresh, and crispy.
We stayed right within our budget for take-out food (about $30 for everything!), and could not have enjoyed it more. In fact, it was the happiest thing in my day (it was THAT good!) Haha!
Do yourself a favor, and if you want a really good burger—and fries!!— that doesn’t make a big dent in your budget, go to Biksbees!!! ? ??
