Pet Care

Ridgefield Veterinary Center
722 Danbury Rd, RidgefieldStaff is wonderful. Environment is spotless and bright. Dr Matthews and Vet Tech Claire were wonderful handling our skittish boy and spent lots of time explaining the habits of the breed, training and feeding tips. It was an excellent experience for us all!

Redding Veterinary Hospital
235 Ethan Allen Hwy, RidgefieldMy dog had been vomiting the day before and I couldn't get an appointment with my regular vet. The vet at Redding was able to see my pet who had 2 shots and pills for the next 2 days and is doing fine now.

Ridgefield Animal Hospital
614 Main St, RidgefieldAlways accommodating and polite. They are all about our pet. They treat our dog like a doctor would treat you in an office visit. Thank you for the care. Our pet needs some dental work and instead of taking our money they said that it would be better if we go to a veterinary dentist rather then them taking care of her. Love the honesty. Thank you.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Nod Hill Brewery
137 Ethan Allen Hwy, RidgefieldNice spot when the weather is good. I came on a Friday evening and was pleasantly surprised to see plenty of other families with kids. Just a heads up: if you're looking for a quiet, kid-free drink, this probably isn't the place. But if you're a parent who wants a relaxed space where kids can run around and play while you supervise with a drink in hand, this works really well. The bartenders were friendly, and while I don't drink beer, the cider was decent. They also usually have live music, which adds to the atmosphere (just check the calendar before you go). My only downside was the food truck on-site (Walrus Outpost). Service and food were not great for us - see my separate review for that. The other food truck that offered Japanese snacks or light fare was really amazing. Every thing came out perfectly and without the attitude of the folks of Walrus Outpost when it comes to ordering or any feedback on their food. Overall, a really nice, low-key place to meet friends and let the kids get some energy out, especially on a warm evening.

Queen B Coffee Company
417 Main St, Ridgefieldabsolutely phenomenal! the food is fresh, warm, and delicious. the chocolate croissants are terrific esp when warmed, and the bagels are some of the best I've had from the area. the lattes are also excellent!! it's hard to find a local cafe with both good espresso and flavor syrups and this place does both. wait times are also super quick!

Corner Cafe of Ridgefield
622 Main St, RidgefieldHad a delicious coffee and roast turkey pesto on sourdough from Corner Cafe. Great vibe and seating outside on the corner, and usually parking out front. Stop by to sit down or for delicious home made takeout in Ridgefield.

West Lane Pizza & Deli
127 West Ln, RidgefieldChicken cutlet special came out fast and hot, included chips and drink for an excellent deal of $10. You don't get that kind of value anywhere close to here, and that's why they just locked me in as a customer. Lots of working people passing by on their way or to and from the next gig. Don't sleep on the convenience of this place.

Hunan Noodle Bar
461 Main St, RidgefieldHunan Noodle Bar is a casual Asian restaurant that blends Chinese noodle dishes, sushi, and other pan-Asian options into a wide, flexible menu. The space feels straightforward and unfussy, more focused on being a reliable neighborhood spot than a heavily themed dining experience. It is the kind of place you walk into for a quick meal or takeout and immediately see a long menu with a mix of familiar comfort dishes.
The biggest strength here is the variety. The menu covers everything from noodle bowls and lo mein to dumplings, ramen-style dishes, and even sushi options. That range makes it easy for groups with different preferences to all find something they want. Dishes like Hunan beef, sesame noodles, and dumplings tend to be the most commonly highlighted, with a mix of spicy, savory, and slightly sweet profiles depending on what you order.
Portion sizes are generally solid, and the food leans toward being filling and straightforward rather than highly refined or experimental. Some dishes stand out more than others, especially when it comes to well-seasoned stir-fries or noodle dishes with richer sauces. The lunch specials also make it a more accessible option, offering decent value for quick meals.
Service and pacing are typically efficient, with food coming out fairly quickly whether you are dining in or ordering takeout. The atmosphere is relaxed and functional, with outdoor seating available in some setups and a casual indoor dining area that fits the style of the restaurant.
Overall, Hunan Noodle Bar is a dependable spot for Asian comfort food with a wide menu. It is not trying to specialize in one cuisine at a high-end level, but it works well when you want something quick, filling, and familiar without overthinking the order.

Botanika Cafe Ridgefield
424 Main St, RidgefieldSuch a cute little spot!!! The decor is lovely and just feels so cozy. As a celiac (not vegan), it’s hard to find 100% gluten free places, so I was pleasantly surprised when I found Botanika Cafe.
They have a pretty varied selection - it was hard to pick just 1 item but I decided on the Country Breakfast platter and it was outstanding! Everything was so fresh and flavorful, and the combination of flavors was delicious - you wouldn’t have been able to tell the eggs and sausage patties were vegan.
Will definitely be back to enjoy the vibes and fantastic food and get to try a smoothie or two!

850 Wood Fired Restaurant
424 R Main St, RidgefieldGo for the pizza and ambience, not for the cofee
Went on a Friday night, sat outside and enjoyed the band that played. Parking was a little tough. Staff was friendly and the food was good. What prevented me from giving this restaurant 5 stars across the board was how the cappuccino was prepared. Barely any froth and when I brought it to the attention of the server, the response was 'oh well, it's good enough'. The pizza looked delicious. I saw a lot of patrons ordering it and it generated a lot of take out business.
