135 Dowd Ave, CantonA few weeks ago I posted asking about ACL surgery for dogs. In The course of discussion Leshem surgical in Canton was recommended many times. Six weeks out and I can report that the healing is going well and I highly recommend Leshem. There were no surprises. It cost exactly what they said it would cost and Molly has healed at Exactly the rate they said. Of course, carrying a 70 pound labrador up three stories of stairs for the last six weeks has not been fun but apparently I've got in shape too. The lab was only six years old so the surgery or something I felt I had to do. I highly recommend Lehmen. Straight shooters with no nonsense, no sugarcoating. Just medical facts. I must say I was amazed the dog was walking the next day. The only challenge was keeping her calm for the 10 weeks of healing.

60 Lovely St, CantonMy husband and I are new to the area and tried a few doggy daycare places before finding Roaring Brook - and THANK GOODNESS! We absolutely LOVE it, and our dog Winston is incredibly happy every time he comes home from daycare! The entire daycare staff is so kind and helpful, as well!
We also just had Winston groomed by Meghan there, and it is seriously the best haircut he's ever had. Meghan was super detailed in his groom / care, and I will absolutely be going back!

160 Albany Turnpike, CantonI’ve heard great things about The Green Papaya for years, but our expectations were far exceeded after a meal here. We didn’t know that they sold Belgian chocolates until we arrived, and we thought that was so unique and a fun representation of the cultures of the owners. We felt right at home here, and Dirk couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful with suggestions. We were feeling adventurous and tried items from their authentic Thai specialities menu, and were so glad that we did. My husband tried the northern Thai style larb, which Dirk told us has herbs harvested from mountains of Thailand in it, and my husband loved it so much he declared it the best dish he’s tried so far this year. We were happy with everything we tried, and the chocolate tiramisu was so good for dessert. You can’t come here and not take some chocolate home! We already can’t wait to come back, and we enjoyed supporting such a passionate business.

Toasted OAT Canton
50 Albany Turnpike, Canton4.5: Food, service and price: awesome, which is really what matters. Atmosphere, location and baked goods: OK. These days it's hard to find a cafe that isn't overpriced and better than just average. But Toasted Oat hits the high points of quality of cook on the food, even if the ingredients may not all be top notch. They have breakfast sandwiches, bowls and scrambles, as well as regular sandwiches, salads and burritos. We enjoyed the regular breakfast sandwich with spinach and cheese (subbed the meat but wish the spinach had been cooked in - $7) and the breakfast scramble which included 2 eggs, 3 veggies, cheese, protein all mixed/cut up together, as well as hash brown (didn't exactly look homemade?) and toast ($11). Everything was served in to-go containers so the looks weren't the best but makes sense given the place and that most people probably don't dine in. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. Everything takes time to come out so you know it's done to order. They also have some coffee and tea. They had a few coffee cake items in a glass display but didn't look homemade either. It feels like a cafe should have more selection of pastries but again bother me. Service was friendly and patient. The actual location isn't that great visually either. There is one longer table and a few smaller ones, but it's not a big place and not decorated to impress (fine by me!) It is located in a small nondescript plaza with an Indian market. Small parking lot. Wish this small business well!

Update-we stopped in last night ,and the Owner and my friend with the great beard wer AWESOME! These guys wer floored with customers and worked like a well oiled machine together. Coming out with some of the BEST food around ,especially in this town! You have brought our faith in spending money out on food ! Tyguys!! I recommend the meatball sub ,or crispy chicken salad !;)
