60 Market Street Suite 125B, AvonI just recently discovered this pet store & I absolutely love it. A few months ago I switched all 4 of my dogs to a raw diet and I had trouble finding a pet store that even sold raw food. A few other stores in the area are extremely overpriced so when I stumbled upon WAGS I was pleasantly surprised. They have raw food, freeze dried raw, dehydrated treats, bone broth, goats milk & many more things I love to buy my dogs and they are at reasonable prices! The owner is very helpful and always so kind when we come in. Definitely worth checking out!

136 Simsbury Rd, AvonWe were having a hard time finding a groomer for our recent rescue who was previously extremely neglected, none wanted to work with him as he was not going to be an easy groom. Several Vets in area suggested that he be medicated for grooming ,we didn’t like that option, and was referred by a pet store in town to THE PAW SPA.
Paige listened to our story and suggested that Keiko hang out with her at the shop for a few hours, she was able to evaluate him and took him in and has been his groomer for the last 10 years!.. Paige is not only Keiko’s groomer but a cherished friend who has shown compassion and commitment to her furry and not so furry clients! Thank you Paige for everything that you have done for my crew and me!!

296 Country Club Rd, AvonWe cannot say enough wonderful things about the care our senior dog Grover received at Animal General, especially from Dr. Haley Guhn-Knight.
Dr. Haley was compassionate, knowledgeable, and truly listened to all of our concerns. She always took the time to explain everything in a way we could understand and made sure we felt informed every step of the way. I have honestly never met a veterinarian more invested in their patient. Even during her personal time, she would respond to emails and send us studies and information regarding the infectious disease that unfortunately took Grover’s life.
She also went above and beyond to make Grover comfortable during his exams — getting down on the floor with him, laying out yoga mats and blankets, and treating him with so much kindness and dignity.
Although we ultimately had to say goodbye to Grover, we are so grateful for everything Dr. Haley did for him and for our family during such a difficult time.
Thank you, Dr. Haley, for everything you did for Grover. We will never forget it

I’m a Sphynx mom for 33 years loving our second rescue when the pandemic takes the family cat caregiver.
Extensive research for the must haves (cats only, kitty cat cameras), and a few interviews later I clicked with Kim.
She and her staff of cat spoilers may humbly say hotel and grooming for cats only. The name RESORT doesn’t begin to tell the story of what we’ve learned since 2021 when leaving our daughter in their care during our 5+ trips every year.
We view the camera in her suite, extensively, to make sure her cat mate auto feeder works after the hour long ride there, to see what she’s up to, and mostly because we miss her. So many times someone has happily made an extra trip in to charge the battery only we seem to drain so regularly.
Watching the camera we’ve learned extra trips are the specialty. No matter what or when the cats need it, not just drop off and pick up times are they on duty, but ALWAYS! No matter if it’s a tummy ache, a crying stressed kitty who needs extra time and love, medication, frequent feedings, anything, they notice and respond. Did we mention scheduling flexibility for unforeseen situations?
We knew about ‘above and beyond’, but when our little bandit broke her cat mate feeder into 3 pieces, two staff spent half an hour troubleshooting on the phone with us until it was up and running. I honestly thought it couldn’t get any better. Until… we killed the camera battery again right before the night feeding and when Kim saw our email she went in to make sure she actually ate and change the battery at 2AM.
Eternally grateful Kim.
NOBODY does it better!
