The only thing better than the showroom, though, was their customer service. The receptionist, Sherleen, is outstanding! She is courteous, professional, and personable. The girl is an absolute gem. “I've been buying at Richlin's for many years. For a store their size they are very well stocked. It's a rare occasion that I don't find what I want. It sure beats traveling to the big stores in the area. Many times it saved me when doing fast emergency home repairs, like a plumbing repair or auto fix. The staff has always been pleasant to my wife and I. On two occasions the girl at the checkout installed wiper blades for me. This would cost a small fortune at my car dealer. I would be at a great loss if Richlin were to close. I highly recommend Richlin.

Their quality is fantastic, they get orders out quickly and immediately rectify any issues when they arise. Specifically their sales rep Joe Gulish is knowledgeable and provides really good customer service to his contractors.”

“Hidden gem in Branford. Though directions will only bring you to the building, drive around the right side of the building and you'll see the sign. The staff is pleasant, knowledgeable, helpful, and experienced. They have a wide variety of mostly domestic woods, but are also capable of sourcing things for you - I picked up some black walnut for a project. If you're a woodworker of any stripe, or a contractor building with quality materials, this is the place in town for you. When you find a good place like this, you want to keep it open; pay them a visit, you won't regret it.”

“I had a hydraulic pressure line blow on a machine. Every attempt to cross-reference the part in the manual hit a dead end as the machine is ancient.I found the Parker Store in a search for a replacement hose. Grabbed the hose and hopped in the truck. Gordon took the blown hose and had a new one ready for me in minutes while I waited.Great operation, great service, and local! I can't say enough good things about this store.”

“I am a frequent flyer of Home Depot in East Haven. It's never difficult to find someone to help, even at self service areas.
My only gripe is on one of my recent trips, I was there to buy a self propelled push mower. None of the brands I would have preferred to buy were offered in store - and most of what they had to offer were electric, yet none of the gas ones were key start.

I bought a mower on 4/29. I had used it 4-5x when this week when trying to pull start it, it just made a whining sound and didn't give much resistance when pulling the line. Even though it was just beyond the 30 day return period they still honored doing an even exchange, and Clay was very helpful in getting the original one out of my vehicle and putting the replacement in. I also found that they cannot accept tips. Shame, he definitely earned one! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“I frequent Country Paint and Hardware all of the time. The staff are like family. They are very attentive and offer expert advice on any number of projects that I am working on. More recently, I had a well pump issue. Working with my son, I was able to determine that the cause was the pump. I called them with the specs to make sure they had one, which they did. I sent my wife over to pick it up before closing so I could make the repair when I came home from work. Using the tool Earl put together for me 20 years ago, I changed the pump out in about 45 minutes. Several days later, they sent me a card thanking me for the purchase.
