“The grinders are great the only thing I prefer different I personally prefer differently is the rolls they use a harder roll compared to other softer rolls. But either way is an amazing grinder for a great price and small family run spot!”

Their produce is always top quality, the deli is fantastic, and they carry plenty of local favorites. I also really love that they offer the seven dollar prepared food donation bags that you can purchase for people in need. It is such a thoughtful and practical way to give back and I honestly wish more grocery stores would do that instead of just asking people to round up at the register.
The staff is always polite and helpful which makes shopping here a pleasant experience every time and their bakery selection is absolutely banging. “This review is for their carry-out / delivery pizza only. Within a 30-mile radius, this big Big Y easily beats any other pizza places north, south, east or west of me and there's no close second.
If you're into thicker (NY style) crust, this may be what you've been looking for? Sometimes the sauce is on the thin side. This pizza is a nice substitute for having a slice of NY pizza from Manhattan; it's close enough anyway. I suggest there cheese (regular) the most due to the sauce not doing too well when you put a topping on it.”

They also have a fantastic deli and a great selection of meats, so it’s an easy one-stop shop for dinner or grabbing something quick that still tastes homemade.”
“The only place in the area that had beets and for a reasonable price. They also have many fresh herbs like rosemary, thyme etc which were also hard to find. Lots of dry herbs and seasonings. Very sweet cashiers and even a gas station. I’m giving 4 stars because some produce was bad.”

Staff is always friendly and they always have whatever it is I'm looking for so, I drive a little bit extra just to use this location because they're so awesome!”

“This has become my go-to grocery store. The prices are reasonable, the shelves are always well stocked, and the staff works hard to keep everything organized. I also love how quickly they restock items—whenever something is out, it’s usually back on the shelf the next time I come in. The employees are friendly and the whole store feels clean and well maintained. Highly recommended.”
“The Dollar General I've been to! The Staff are so nice and store is always kept up stocked and clean. Not to mention that here in the forest of Voluntown there is barely enough stores close by and I pretty much rely on this store being close by its wonderful. Basically a mini walmart”

This is a family run, friendly place to stop in and grab some convenience items, local gifts, some last minute beach things and even beautiful local photography! I just got this picture, it was going to be a gift but I think I’ll keep it or go back for another, lol.”

“They have a lot of Italian delicacies like caffe Lavazza, black and green olives and pastas. They also have a deli counter. The woman running the place is a very lovely woman. She was friendly, patient with me and all my questions and very welcoming. I will definitely be back.”
“The good news..some prepared foods are really good, the quiches, seafood pie, bakery items. This place however is pretty pricey. Except for an older woman working at the deli counter-most employees aren't particularly friendly-especially at check-out.”
“I've been coming here for a decade now, with a small break after I saw posts online about the owner selling/retiring and thought it was over.
Came by recently to see the place still alive, with some nice improvements inside. Best yet, the food is even better! Premade meals in the to go fridge are plentiful and cheap.
My go to is a large roast beef grinder and it's got it all, soft bread, the right amount of mayo, the perfect percent of lettuce and quality meat.
The staff is always friendly and feels like family, that's a big part of the experience for me and they're awesome!

The prices are fair and there are always good deals. The staff is friendly and helpful, and checkout is usually quick. Overall, it’s a very reliable place to shop and one of my favorite supermarkets in the area.”

“This place was recommended to us by the host of our AirBNB, and it lived expectations. Those being that it's a grocery store, and they have food. Not much more needed. The inside of the store was clearly worn down, which isn't normally a point dedication, but it was messy at the time we went.”

“It's a Dollar General... not unlike any others I have been in. Never have had any real problems with store (unless they were simply out of an item) or staff.”
