Pet Stores & Supplies

The Feed Bag
20 Old Boston Post Rd, Old SaybrookThis is more than just a pet store. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable. I had seen two vets regarding my dogs digestive issues and tried two different prescription dog foods that made them sicker. My friend sent me to the Feed Bag and the first food the owner recommended fixed both dogs issues immediately and now they have perfect stools. I am so grateful for the help and guidance. Great experience!!

Animal Hospital of Old Saybrook
21 Spencer Plains Rd, Old SaybrookYou come away from Animal Hospital of Old Saybrook feeling like the entire team -- from reception, to vet techs, to Dr. Shrack -- love your pet as much as you do. Great folks. And we've had to be there a lot in the last few years with an aging pup.

Saybrook Veterinary Hospital
807 Middlesex Turnpike, Old SaybrookThe Saybrook Vet is AMAZING, the entire staff is super kind and patient. We had to get our 3 month old puppy surgery on his paw and it was overwhelming… BUT the entire team has made it 100 times better. With their kindness and going the extra mile to make sure we’re all supported and that our puppy was comfortable. They don’t just do their job very well they do it with care and kindness. Dr Magruder is also very talented and has made us feel very seen and very well taken care of. Best Vet Around!!! I would suggest them over and over again.

Mirsina's Restaurant
162 Main St, Old SaybrookMirsina’s is my go-to restaurant for breakfast. I usually eat there three times a week after my exercise class, and often stop in other days for coffee or lunch. The food and service are terrific. And the rice pudding? Wonderful!
Mirsina’s is the type of place where the regulars recognize and greet you after just a few visits. Do yourself a favor and check out this gem on Main St. in Old Saybrook. You won’t be disappointed.

Fresh Salt
2 Bridge St, Old SaybrookThe food is great the atmosphere is good. However the service is poor. We were there yesterday, May31st for lunch. When we approached the reception counter there were 5 members of the staff I said good morning and no answer from anyone, they seemed confused and lost. The guy who sowed us the outside seating availability was spacing out and looking at his watch constantly (strange). We decided to seat inside in the sunroom. The waitress assigned to our table was not a professional waitress, she seemed nervous and not willing to be working on a Sunday. She brought my wine and dropped a considerable amount all over me and the table... Apparently there was no manager onsite. The staff looked like some students and no professional staff. It is fine it is cheaper for the restaurant but at least provide them training, it is very detrimental to the restaurant having workers that don't know how to treat customers.

Johnny Ads
910 Boston Post Rd, Old SaybrookLoved the options at this place!
First Time going I decided to buy the whole belly clam platter which was absolutely delicious!!
They used huge class, fried fresh , delicious batter and great flavor .... served alongside some fries, came with a lemon wedge, salt and pepper as well as ketchup .
I'm definitely interested in going back and trying their other seafood options as well as their chowders !!
I do wish they had boiled red potatoes as a side option for their clam strips / their whole belly clams but that's just a personal favorite of mine, regardless this place was great for a first timer!!
