149 Sheepskin Hollow Road, East HaddamI cannot say enough wonderful things about New Inn Kennels and Don! Matty has never been a dog who enjoys being boarded, and she has also always been very wary of men — but she absolutely loves Don and her time at New Inn Kennels.
The first time I picked her up after a few-day stay, I knew immediately that we had found the right place. She came walking out with Don, her ears alert and the cutest little pep in her step. I could just tell she was happy, comfortable, and had been genuinely well cared for.
In the past, I picked Matty up from another kennel and she had actually lost her voice, presumably from barking so much while she was there. That has never happened at New Inn Kennels. She comes home happy and herself, which tells me everything I need to know about how comfortable she feels there.
As a pet owner, there is nothing better than being able to leave your dog somewhere and feel completely confident that they are safe, cared for, and genuinely comfortable. Knowing Matty is happy there gives me such peace of mind whenever I have to leave her.
I’m incredibly grateful to Don and New Inn Kennels for taking such wonderful care of my girl. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them! ❤🐾

440 Tater Hill Road, East HaddamScott has done a wonderful job helping us train and get to know our dogs. Our pups are over 2 years old and we sheltered them during COVID. Scott was able to help decrease their barking, working on their listening skills, and teaching us how to use skills on our pups. Scott is the dog whisperer with patience, knowledge, and understanding. Best experience for us and our pups.

Two Wrasslin' Cats Coffee House & Cafe
374 Town St, East HaddamWe had been wanting to visit this place for years and had finally dropped by yesterday. We had such a wonderful time! The owner, Mark, was very warm and friendly. We each ordered a sandwich and then waited and relaxed down by the river. When our food was ready, a nice lady came outside, called out our name and handed us our food. We thoroughly enjoyed our delicious sandwiches and vanilla-iced coffee.
After eating we strolled through the dining area which was filled with cat art and memorabilia. Being cat lovers, we took pictures and enjoyed watching the cats through the two windows in the dining area. We then let Mark know we were ready to visit the cats and only waited about 5 minutes. The two nice ladies awaiting their turn ahead of us said we could join them, so we got in sooner.
The four of us had a such a fun time watching and playing with the six cats. Mark told us the story of how they were all siblings and a little bit about each cat. We enjoyed spending time with the cats, as they were so cute and affectionate. We got a kick out of Kit running on the cat wheel several times.
Thank you, Mark, for a heartwarming experience and for allowing us to spend time with your precious cats. We will tell our friends about you, and we will be back soon!!! Michelle & Brett??
