Pet Care

Shoreline Animal Hospital
18 W Main St, ClintonVery friendly, clean facility, but most of all my 2 kitties were comfortable with being there. The cost was fair for the health exam, micro chipping, and bloodwork. The staff explained everything to us in a way we could understand it. We never felt rushed. It was just a nice
overall experience.

Captain Kitt's Cat Boarding
46 Killingworth Turnpike, ClintonAnother fabulous boarding experience. The care is just remarkable. I am an extremely attached kitty owner and Captain Kitt's is who I trust. I know that Captain Kitt's goes above and beyond to give the same kind of care we do... You can tell that the cats are loved at Captain Kitty's. If you are looking for a boarding facility for your kitty and this is your first time, I can not say enough as to how this is a home away from home for your kitty. Just ths absolute best.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Chamard Vineyards Bistro
115 Cow Hill Rd, ClintonWho Knew? Father’s Day 2026 was our first visit to Chamard, and from start to finish I couldn't get over 1. the simple existence of this restaurant 2. the exterior and interior 3. the service (blessed twice with Garret) 4. The Food and 5. the entire staff. Having just returned for a special family gathering (with a birthday thrown in), my brother, sister-in-law, and sister from West Hartford and Simsbury were blown away.
I should note both my visits were in the daytime. Besides the rustic beauty of the vineyards, the grounds are lovely and set a peaceful tone for the restaurant. The interior is beautiful and with plenty of warmth and natural light from the windows. The walls are adorned with artwork for sale but tastefully done, as was a handcrafted bench (which I bought!) that allowed me an opportunity to sit and soak in this surprise dining experience.
Our server for both experiences was Garret and honestly, we are spoiled – polite, upbeat knowledgeable and accommodating – even when he was the main server he never ignored our table.
Every food course over two visits were nothing less than fantastic - from flavor to presentation the food was perfectly prepared. The server in taking the order and the wonderful chefs were both very accommodating for a member of our party with dairy allergies.
From the website and now two visits this is not a winery tour or exclusive wine tasting spot - this is a beautiful restaurant that makes (in the basement) and serves their own wines - even the red is made on property from grapes brought in from out-of-state.
I will be going back frequently and cannot wait for the colder months, holidays and dinner by their fireplace!

Lobster Landing
152 Commerce St, Clinton1st time at the Landing today. Went with my wife for lunch - a little pre July 4th culinary kickoff. Jumbo roll was the best I ever had. Nearly no butter (or no butter) - love it. No bloated after taste like most lobster rolls. Food 5 stars. My big problem - and it left a bad taste pardon the expression -- is the register asking for tips on a premium (but well worth it) priced meal -- when you go up to the counter and pick up your food in a bag. First time there- I wasn't sure if it was table service. So I gave 20%. In my opinion, the TIP WAS A RIP. Perhaps better signage or making the tip option less present int he checkout would be good. Not happy with this part.
