Thankfully, Village pet spa was able to take care of my puppy’s fur. They reassured me and left me feeling comfortable leaving my puppy in their hands. My puppy looks adorable and his haircut is exactly what I asked for! Friendly staff & very reasonable price also :)

I was nervous about finding someone who could handle a dog who is always excited and full of energy. She also has some reactivity issues due to a past incident with another dog, so finding the right fit was especially important to me.
When I called to make an appointment, Cori took the time to listen to all of my concerns and gather information about my dog's needs. She was patient, understanding, and reassured me that my girl would be in good hands, which immediately put me at ease.
Mary (I believe that was her name) was the groomer who worked with my dog, and she was absolutely amazing! My dog arrived covered in dirt and mud after plenty of outdoor adventures with her husky best friend, and Mary did a fantastic job. She made sure my dog was thoroughly clean, groomed exactly how I requested, and most importantly, happy and comfortable throughout the process.
It's such a relief to find a groomer I can trust after moving to a new area. My dog is home happy and taking a nap after spending time with her new friends. I couldn't be happier with our experience and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caring and talented grooming team!

My newest prospect was 8wks when I hired Lenny and he’s been a Godsend and invaluable resource and support. Im grateful for canine cadre every day as I watch my pup blossom and flourish. All of my dogs have been 6mo+ so I had a lot to learn/train about early developmental periods. He provided a great program and schedule for her 8-16wk socialization window, answered all my questions made sure pup was safely challenged while building confidence. I learned a lot more than I expected and feel supported and motivated by him and his crew. They’ve gone out of their way to make sure my pup gets her needs met while working with my individual limitations to bring out the best in her. From working through fear periods and issues to counseling on safe play Lenny has been attentive even during group pup social classes. He supported us through all our challenging firsts including but not limited to intro to walking along side and backing up with a wheelchair. He’s deepened my understanding of dog communication, my confidence and my leadership skills. Not a day goes by I’m not fascinated by what I’ve learned and am experiencing with my dogs. The results im seeing speak for it. I’m so glad I signed up and you’ll be seeing more of us!! Thanks for everything you do and how hard you reward these dogs-it shows! My puppy’s butt and tail wiggles off her body and she can’t wait to see Lenny every week. THAT is always the best review a dog can give!! Lenny was right… he was soooo right. ?? The Crate Escape

After sending him here one day a week , all his social issues were fixed. He now, attends, the doggy college, which is great. It mentally challenges him and he comes home very satisfied and relaxed.

New England Cider Company
110 N Plains Industrial Rd, WallingfordThis review is a part of my quest to visit all CT breweries (and cideries, as of recently). New England Cider Company occupies its own building. It has a small parking lot in the front and more space in the back. The cidery is rather small; it has a singular indoor room with several tables. An outdoor patio is set up in warmer months as well. A stand with board games is inside.
There is an option to get a frozen pizza if you want to eat. We tried it, and it was OK for a frozen one. 6 ciders were available on tap during my visit. You can order flights of 4 or 6 to try everything. For this review, I tried all of them. The ciders were fine, though I only liked a small number of them. The most memorable was Spruce Willis due to the addition of spruce.
A couple of cons I'd highlight are:
- The board behind the bar claims to use local fruit, but the employee mentioned that apples are imported from Pennsylvania. That hardly counts as local for me
- Compared to other cideries I've been to, it did not stand out both in quantity (fewer ciders to choose from) and quality (no experimentation or memorable flavors). But this is a subjective metric.
This is a decent place to visit if you live nearby. But I would have a hard time justifying a trip here from a bigger distance.

1339 Whirlwind Hill Rd, WallingfordI was excited to try this vineyard after hearing about it since moving to Connecticut! Finally came on a beautiful day and enjoyed some drinks outside. First got the wine slushie which was nice and refreshing, and then got a bottle of rosè to enjoy afterwards. There weren't many people that day surprisingly. The grounds had lots of nice views.

1094 N Colony Rd, WallingfordI've been stopping at this plaza for meals for years on the way north from NYC, but never tried Pokemoto. As a rule chain poke restaurants are not my favorites. Pokemoto has changed my opinion. The poke salad was generous as were the servings of fish and avocado (extra charge). I'm definitely coming back! One note: the dining area is not large, and was quite chilly. We opted to eat our dinner elsewhere because it was too cold to comfortably dine-in.
