“OUTSTANDING PRODUCT FOR GRAVE STONE CLEANING DIY . The D2 cleaner and kit made the stone look new again . I cleaned it in October 2024 and because this product keeps working , I returned in December 2024 and was extremely happy with the results ADDING TO MY REVIEW SEPTEMBER 2025 : Still looks like brand new , even though it's been there since 1955”

“Love love love these old shops . Has tons of great weird shit. It's not orange or blue so that's worth four stars right there. People are nice, slightly expensive but everything is these days. And if you just need three screws you can just get three screws you're not going to have to pay $14 for a box that you'll never finish. I got a knife sharpener. Pretty happy with it.”

“We recently remodeled our master bathroom and purchased all the hardware from Bender, Hartford, CT. Bender carries such a wide range of products that the choices may seem overwhelming! However, Melissa, provided all the necessary insights in a convivial manner without any sales pressure. We strolled through the store, reviewed individual choices, and asked multiple questions, enabling informed decisions. Without Melissa's guidance, we would have been lost! While the prices may be slightly higher than perhaps a hardware store, the service and access to expert knowledge, easily compensate for the difference. “A small tension spring broke on my new Ferris mower. I called my closest dealer in MA and they said they didn’t have, didn’t check anywhere else, and said we’d have to order and be a week at least. It’s spring and tons of rain, I couldn’t wait. Called Sudden and gentleman said he didn’t have, but he then checked other locations, which didn’t have either, but he said I could order and since he was already ordering from Ferris he could add to the order. They received it the next day and even took the time to help disassemble their showroom mower to help show me how to install it. Fantastic experience and willingness to help even though I didn’t purchase the mower there. They’ve got a new customer now, thank you folks.”

“I went to Lowe 's to look for a specific towel rack for my parents bathroom. This store is huge. They have all kinds of tools, and items for every part of your home. When I had just purchased my home, I was here pretty much every day, with my dad or my boyfriend looking for something for my house. My screen door is from Lowe's, my living room paint color is from Lowe's, just to name a few.I came across a very friendly sales associate, Jamie who chatted with me for a while and told me they don't have that exact towel rack in store, but I could order it online. This isn't ideal, because I did come to the store to purchase it, but shipping only takes two days.While Lowe's isn't my favorite store, I like going here with someone knowledgeable about the product and their uses. The staff I've encountered has been very friendly and helpful. They sell more then what one might expect from a home improvement store.”

“Absolutely amazing one stop shop for all your building and construction projects. From all different types of flooring, to custom handmade tile with the most amazing detail I have ever seen, a extremely large stock of stone countertops, appliances and more. If you are building a new home, or remodeling I would suggest stopping into at least look around. They have so much to offer it is unreal. Their staff is also very friendly and knowledgeable. I got a carpet for my living room for 1.28 per square foot and its fluffy and soft. Great carpet for a great price. Its a great place to save money on home improvement supplies.”
“I had the best experience recently at Ace. I was looking to buy the new 30” Ego Lawn Mower, and searching online inventory was extremely low across the State, with the nearest one in Stamford. I called Ace and Kathie picked up and immediately was able to help and told me she would keep an eye out for the next time one was available and reserve it for me. Well she worked her magic because later that day she tracked it down, and they had it delivered to my house a few days later. Fantastic experience and customer service!!”

“I’ve been using Coastal Tool and Supply for years as my tool supplier and they are very knowledgeable about the products, told me about tool repair warranties that I wasn’t aware of and had repairs done with the warranty on tools I was going to decommission and the tools were repaired and are back in service! Coastal is much more customer oriented and less expensive than the big box stores. I’ve worked with their rep Aaron McFarland many times and he is outstanding and extremely knowledgeable. When you need tools and great customer service, I recommend talking to Aaron and going with Coastal Tool & Supply.”

If it's busy you might have some waiting time. Buy in the front showroom, pick up larger supplies in the back building. The warehouse workers are great too, fast.”
