“Worst restaurant ever. There an entire Isle of raw meat, nothing was cooked. Terrible menu, no one greeted us or seated us. We walked around aimlessly waiting to be seated. Nothing here is made fresh, there were endless isle's of frozen prepared food. Couldn't even buy beer past 9pm.....what kinda bar is this. Bring back IGA.”

“I like this store. I like the store brand. I really have no complaints. I will say however that occasionally, it's kind of like visiting a Walmart, you just never know the characters that wander in.”
“We just visited the farm for pumpkins, and I wanted to see what was at the market. The workers were so friendly and helpful. I purchased some Wildflower Honey, Apple Cider, Apples, Cherry Tomatoes, a pumpkin, and a georgious Mum. All together only cost 24.00$...I will definitely be back. Thank you to our local farmers...you are all so appreciated. 😊🫶”
“Produce is always fresh. They have a great variety of cheese, fresh bread and their seafood department is s favorite of mine. They have a great selection of prepared foods, such as wings, pizza, fried chicken and more. Great place to shop all the way around.”
“I had the pleasure of Jack as my cashier today. Very courteous, friendly and checked my groceries out in a timely and accurate manner. Also, gave me tips about not only are the meats 5 for $25 which works out perfectly for my husband and I but Jack also let me know that there are other 5 for $25 through out the store. I enjoy shopping at Market 32. Everything looks fresh and also like that they carry ready made meals that you take home and heat and eat reasonably priced. The ladies in the floral department do such a great job as well. I always buy my flowers here. Pick 3 beautiful bunches and they will arrange them into a gorgeous bouquet ready for gift giving. Thank you Jack for a pleasant visit”
“As of yesterday, my favorite store no more.
Only self checkout as of yesterday.
I will not be back.
Wow I wish I remembered this sooner. They quickly went back to have a checkout clerk.”
“Well worth the price (of being included in annual BJs membership) as BJ's pump price is much less than most 'routine' gas stations and also (many) of the 'convienience store' gas pumps.”
“To the wonderful lady that works at Pleasant Valley general store. I can't say thank you enough for going out of your way to make 3 girls from Missouri breakfast when there was nothing around. Your generosity and kindness is very much appreciated and your customer service was excellent. Thank you again for starting our morning off of the right foot and with your wonderful act of kindness.”
“Stop & Shop has a very nice assortment of different brands and products. They have the cheaper version and the more expensive ones. There fruit I’ve found wanting several times. ALDI has a good variety of fruit at a better price.”
“This Walmart is very clean, and we'll staffed. It has a great frozen food and dairy section.
Outdoor plants, and gardening supplies.
An excellent sporting goods section.
There's an indoor Subway Store. If you want to grab a sandwich before, or after your shopping.”
“This is definitely one of the nicest and cleanest dollar generals I've been to. Nothing blocking the aisles, good variety. I was out this way because of a job I have and will be using this dollar general from now on!”
“Great selection of fall and Halloween merchandise. Everyone working was nice and patient with the people in front of me who were having some issues with coupons, the supervisor/manager was helpful to them and the cashier and still took the time to open another register to help people waiting and he was very personable and friendly.”
“As Dollar Generals go, this one is downright cherry. There are others in the area that lean into the black, but here we have regular convenience store lighting. You can see! You can see it from across the dark parking lot! Speaking of which, parking is plentiful since we're dealing with a big plaza. Inside you have a little bit of everything. They have coolers for cold food, regular groceries, greeting cards, seasonal, paper products, etc. Aisles are okay size, and the store is big enough where you can avoid other shoppers. There are some places admittedly better faced than others - picture frames are discombobulated, but seasonal Halloween looked picture perfect. The cashier was really friendly with the best register "bell" to summon him I've ever seen.”
“I live right down the road and I love Sam's. They even have canned dog food. I've always lived in rural areas- so to me having a convenience store less than a mile away is just fantastic.”
“I stopped by the BJ's in Torrington, because I needed some honey and cheese. This BJ's surprisingly wasn't that busy on two nights before Christmas. It was well stocked, but it took me some time to find everything I was looking for because the layout of this store is a bit different from the one in West Hartford. There was a very kind lady offering samples of corn and apple sauce, she was working at both stations simultaneously. Each time I passed by her she offered it to me again. I told her, I just had it, she said "that's ok, have another one!" I always thought the people who check for your BJ's membership card as you're walking in was the most ridiculous job, because you can't really do much without your card. On this occasion they didn't ask for my card. I was convinced it was in my purse. After my shopping cart was filled and I went to pay, I discovered I didn't have my card. Lucky it was in my car, so all time wasn't wasted.Their job to check for your card, actually has a purpose, holding you responsible that you know where your card is.BJ's is a Club Warehouse. Their membership is $55 annually. This is where I typically go to fill up my car with gas. Their gas prices are the best.”
“Best staff at customer service ! Seen rude customers but staff are always polite and respectful no matter how some of these customers are rude. Kudos to them and management! Five stars Torrington Ct BJ’s”
“This discount store has approximately 19,000 stores in the US and Mexico. It is headquartered in Tennessee and founded in 1939 as JL Turner and Son. They had a name change to Dollar General since 1955.
Dollar General sells a wide variety of items such as home decor, clothing, cleaning supplies, and many more. This store in Barkhamstead is very similar like the other stores. It is well stocked and for the most part, organized. What I noticed in most DGs, there are always items waiting to be stocked on the end of aisles.
This one was pretty busy on the day we went because it was the Sunday before Christmas; I assume people were doing last minute shopping like we were doing too. They had many seasonal items and prices were affordable, as their name holds a reputation for that. This is also the first DG that I've seen two cashiers working; I think because there was a long line. Overall, a standard DG with discounted items. It's definitely a popular store and I understand why.”
“I went on a quest for gluten free, organic and protein-rich snacks and found way more than I expected!! Wonderful shop and the owner was very knowledgeable!! The snacks taste great too - highly recommend the Wildberry Açaí Toaster pastries!”
