My 14-week old poodle was holding me hostage in our apartment refusing to be carried or stay in the previous two carriers purchased. Since he isn't fully vaccinated, I remained stuck at home until my Sturdi carrier arrived. For the past few weeks the days has felt longer, especially with a puppy driving me mad! The zoomies, toilet paper raids, general interest in my plants and electric cords…this is a full time job on top of my full time job! Penny ensured that I received my carrier in a timely manner and busted me out here on a lovely Saturday afternoon lol. I can go enjoy my summer days now and Ro is getting a scenic view from his Sturdi carrier…which I love! I appreciate you Penny!

I totally get that business is business and inflation affects us all, but I think a gradual price hike, along with a heads-up, would have been more considerate.
Now, let's talk about the great stuff! The staff is always excellent—super friendly and helpful! There's such a fantastic selection of items, from toys and wet/dry goods to harnesses, leashes, duck heads, hearts, liver, and even doggy yogurt ice cream and candles! I've been a loyal customer for over five years and signed up for their membership two years ago. I've earned a ton of points and received some fantastic free items, like 60 lbs of dog food, cans of food, and tasty treats.

You see videos of groomers hitting dogs and stuff so as a parent you are so nervous about what happens behind the scenes but i know she is giving him love <3
She also works efficiently and doesnt take a million hours which is awesome. Cant recommend her enough

1642 R Street Northwest, WashingtonI cannot say enough good things about Masterpiece Canine Spa. I have been bringing my dog here for over 5 years (starting at the H street location) and while we are moving out to the West Coast in a week, Masterpiece will be one of the places we miss most.
My dog, Jolene, is a highly anxious Great Pyrenees and Anatolian Shepherd mix. The set appointment times were great for her to limit interactions with other dogs and time in a kennel. Glauce and Danielle have been her groomers for years and I am so incredibly grateful for their efforts in taking care of her double coat, they are both outstanding. Masterpiece has been there for Jolene as she has aged and has always gone out of their way to ensure she's supported and loved on during her visits. Abby has always been accommodating with our limited availability and I've found communicating with Masterpiece to be seamless over the years whenever I've needed any schedule changes. I truly cannot recommend the Masterpiece Canine Spa team enough!

Our cat Miso accidentally did a tumble in the dryer for a few minutes and we rushed him to VEG to make sure he was going to be okay. It was our first time taking either of our cats to the emergency vet for something this severe so I was very nervous. The minute we walked in we were immediately met with the most kind, caring, and professional staff ever who started helping Miso out right away. They explained what they were doing every step of the way and explained potential issues (in a way that didn't make me freak out more). They handled Miso with such care and were super attentive to his needs. The staff gave us some sparking waters and a comfortable place to sit with Miso while he was receiving his treatments. We were made to feel as comfortable and welcome as possible and they let us know we could stay as long as we needed. They had Miso stay overnight for monitoring and he is now doing super well and is expected to make a full recovery! A HUGE thank you to all of the staff that helped Miso!! <3

I think the best is the level of communication we get - actual emails explaining what the possible issues are, treatment options, etc. It really helps when you need to discuss options with your partner if you don't have to try and remember what someone explained to you.
Definitely try them if you need a vet.

I took my dog-Max to the hospital for emergency and received eye drops and medicine for two weeks, his eye had not healed, so I took him to the hospital he normally sees the doctor, received same eye drops and medicine, Max still not got recovered in the following 6 weeks. I decided to find a professional eye doctor to check my dogs eye 👁 fortunately, I found AVO, the eye doctor was very professional who was able to provide a surgery to Max’s eye. Max got 95 % recovery right after 2 weeks. Thank you 🙏 I would like to recommend this practice to anyone whose pets have eye issues/sickness.

We've gone to Union Vet Clinic for the last 7 years, since moving to DC. The entire staff is always so wonderful and Dr. Gross has been our trusted vet the entire time, but if ever Dr. Gross is out, we have always received wonderful care from the other Doctors on staff. I must say, sometimes it is very stressful coming in because of our dog's advanced age and not knowing what is wrong with her. But seeing the wonderful front desk staff at the clinic always makes it easier. Rebecca is always so helpful on the phone and Nesha is so sweet and always asks how our sweet girl is doing, even when I am just there solo to pick up medication. Bryce is so amazing and empathetic whenever we come in with an issue, I can tell he truly cares and he has also stayed late to help me pick up medicine. He constantly goes above and beyond to help us. And Christian the vet tech is always so tender with our sweet old girl! Union Vet Clinic is truly a family, they are incredibly skilled and compassionate and I'd recommend them to anyone he needs expert care for their furry best friends!

3509 12th Street Northeast, WashingtonI’ve hesitated posting this review only because I don’t want the appointments to book too quickly, but Patrick’s Pet Care has been an absolute lifesaver for myself and my anxious shihpoo, Sydney, this year.
Syd is, on her best day, an anxious girlie. Her list of dislikes is much longer than her list of likes and grooming is, historically, a challenge. We came to Patrick’s this summer on the recommendation of her behaviorist. She lasted an hour on her first appointment and didn’t even leave the crate, but we pivoted to the husbandry division of Patrick’s (led by Melissa) and could not be more thrilled.
Melissa is a dog whisperer. She takes on the challenging cases and works at the dog’s pace to progress. We went to an appointment weekly and brought our favorite treats (and ball!). After a few weeks, Syd was racing in to play (and get bathed/groomed/nails clipped), leaving me in the dust (I’m okay!). It was an investment to get to this point, but I highly recommend it!
We now go to Patrick’s every 3-4 weeks for baths or grooming. Melissa has been fantastic about understanding Syd’s needs but also acclimating her to new people and surroundings. Moreover, the entire staff has been so thoughtful about Syd’s quirks. I could not ask for a better experience!

Big trip meaning being gone for 3 weeks, 3 weeks away from my furry bestfriend. Mr.Woo got back to me in no time with scheduling a meet and greet, inviting us to his home so we could see how Rocky got along with other furry friends. Off the getgo, Rocky got along with Mystery which is a husky Mr.Woo adopted. Mr.Woo was very inquisitvie about Rocky, making sure he hit Rocky’s triggers, bathroom breaks, feeding habits and everything in between.
During my trip, Mr.Woo kept me updated on Rocky. Mr.Woo provided pictures, videos and instagram stories which made being away from Rocky so much easier. I feel like Rocky quickly settled in. I saw him happy, comfortable, and loved while I was thousands miles away. I saw daily that Mr.Woo took Rocky and his furry friends to a big open field where everyone could run and tire themselves out for the morning. I will be going back and using Mr.Woo’s services as I left very satisfied and happy with the way he kept me up to date on Rocky!

WashingtonOur West Highland Terrier, Cassie, spent three awesome days with three leaders of the DCDS team this last weekend. It was especially challenging for their team members because they had agreed to pick her up and drop her off at our hotel, The Willard IHG, and due to events of the Fourth of July weekend, roads around the hotel were closed most of the time. Each day we were kept updated with pictures and texts/email about her time out exercising or in their homes. We definitely recommend entrusting your special pets to DC DOG SITTER.

The woman who gave me my tour of the cat room was so warm and lovely, and the best endorsement I can think of is how the cats that were being boarded there looked comfortable, relaxed, and at ease in their condos.
I understand how if you are used to your cat having run of a whole house, the cat condo arrangement seems way too small. But I used to board my cats with a vet that used a similar set up and they always came home calm, happy, and unbothered by their time away. I really think the quality of attention and care matters more than the amount of space they have.

My only complaint is that 30 minutes felt a little short for $27. I wish we had more time with the cats or at least a drink included for that price. You also aren’t really able to pick them up and hold them in your lap, which was a bummer, but they were still super sweet and you could get close to them and interact with them. The Polaroid they give you at the end was also a really cute touch!
Overall, I enjoyed the experience and I’m glad I went. I’d consider coming back for another little cat fix!
