Unleashed by Petco
5400 Lee Hwy Suite A, ArlingtonPetco carries the products I need but also has people working there who are immensely helpful. I've been particularly impressed by and am thankful for Dunkin's Dad who has helped me on numerous occasions. He helps me find the cat food I need and if it is not on the shelves will find it in the back. He has offered to carry heavy litter products to my car. He is kind and thoughtful and I so appreciate him.

Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Arlington
4550 Lee Hwy, ArlingtonLove them! Going there for over 3 years. There is a little nice dog in the front named Leo meet and greet you when you walk in. Tons of fun toys and goodies for your pup. Unlike other places, they don’t put your dog in a crate after they finish their grooming, which is really important to me! They are very fast, I live in dc and I referred them to two of my neighbors and now we all drive to VA from DC for our doggie grooming sessions!

District Dogs Clarendon
2820 Wilson Blvd, ArlingtonGreat experiences with bringing my dog here! She always leaves happy and tired. The report card with photos after daycare is a nice touch (the photos I added to this review are from the report card).Great staff members that are friendly and enjoy being around all the dogs. I have a small dog who is dog friendly but nervous around new people, the staff clearly knew how to handle it as she is now best friends with all of them. We've even seen some staff out and about around Clarendon and they've been happy to stop and say hi to my dog when she got excited to see them. The facility seems clean and well kept, I've been coming to this location for a while and my dog hasn't come home smelling bad or dirty. She also seems like she gets a good amount of attention throughout the day!

Pet Care
Cherrydale Veterinary Clinic
4038 Cherry Hill Rd, ArlingtonCherrydale Vet is fantastic! The staff are always very sweet and friendly with my dog -- she tends to be a bit anxious and hyper when she first comes in and they do a great job with giving her time to get familiarized with them and helping her settle down before proceeding with the examinations. In certain cases, they are also willing to give treatment advice over phone or email which can be really helpful in terms of saving us an unnecessary trip to the vet (not to mention a bill too!). Would absolutely recommend them for any pet owners.

Caring Hands Animal Hospital - Clarendon
2601 A, Wilson Blvd, ArlingtonGreat experience!!! I have an extremely anxious senior chihuahua, Pop, and I took him to Caring Hands Clarendon to establish care. He was so anxious about being at the vet that he was shivering in the lobby, but he instantly warmed up once he met Dr. Goff and the lovely veterinarian technicians (I cannot remember their names - sorry). My pup is not exactly a people person, but he was really relaxed and actually enjoyed being with the staff there. The entire experience was great, from scheduling to getting bloodwork results. The medical team made the visit go extremely well, and they performed a thorough exam of Pop, including tonometry (required touching his eye, and I was surprised they were able to do it). They also explained the cost (financial) and benefit of every procedure/vaccine before they did it. I have seen some reviews mention affordability, and I think the prices are very reasonable… also, without my asking, they applied a 10% discount so I ended up being surprised by a cheaper price at checkout.I will be going back for dental surgery, and I received an estimate that includes a range of what the cost could be because it will depend on the number of extractions needed. I appreciated the transparency in what the maximum cost could be. And the price for dental surgery also seems reasonable to me. Also, the estimated price included an offer for a 10% discount if scheduled in the next month.I didn’t get the sense that the staff there was concerned with anything other than Pop’s health and getting him the best quality of care they could (while being mindful of the cost). Pop and I will be coming to this practice as long as Dr. Goff is there… not to say that the other vets aren’t also good,r but I haven’t met them yet. But the entire team (including receptionist!) that I did meet was wonderful.

2850 S Quincy St #6553, ArlingtonI've used Metropawlitan Petsitters multiple times now while I've been traveling. I have a bit of a complicated set-up with several codes to enter my building + apartment and the walkers never complain or have trouble. I've also had issues where I need to change something last minute due to postponed flights or travel plans, and the team has always been very responsive and reassuring via messaging through the app. Additionally, I love that the walkers send pictures and provide updates of their visits, as well as the routes of their walks. I always look forward to those while I'm away. I feel as though my dog is well taken care of and enjoys the walkers while I'm out of town.

We feel so lucky to have stumbled into this amazing family that treats my dog with love, respect, and kindness. This is a positive reinforcement training facility and once you try it, you will never, ever consider another approach. We always joke that the training sessions are more to train me than my dog, but I have learned so much about dog body language and being in tune with my dog's needs. 4140 S Four Mile Run Dr, ArlingtonMy dog loves it here! He always has the best day and is exhausted when he gets home lol. I love that they do cute activities for the holidays, make training recommendations when needed, and have pretty much everything you need. I love how they divide the groups based on size, temperament, etc, because our last daycare just put all dogs together in one big group, which was overstimulating for him at times. I can’t recommend them enough and every staff member has been SO sweet and helpful.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants
PhoWheels @ The Water Park
1731 Crystal Dr, ArlingtonPhoWheels, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways. PhoWheels has consistently amazing food, the friendliest staff in the world, and a totally unique fusion concept. I've had the pork belly tacos twice, the bo-khirria banh mi, and I just barely managed to make myself not order the pork belly tacos a third time so that I could try the oxtail pho tacos. Their pho was absolutely delicious - I liked it even more than the bo kho - and there was such a generous amount of oxtail in the tacos that I scooped part of it directly into the pho and just ate both dishes that way. Their meat is always so tender and well-seasoned. Their roti is perfect - so buttery and soft and flaky. It's worth every penny, and I'm always trying to convince people to try it. You won't regret it! Fair warning that the seating is all outdoors, so plan to get the food to go when the weather isn't nice, but it's a really convenient location right by the metro with plenty of parking around, so it's easy to get to, and the food travels well in my opinion. Eventually I'll manage to try everything on the menu, or maybe just order the pork belly tacos 14 more times.

Arlington Kabob
5046 Langston Blvd., ArlingtonThe food here is wonderful. Their chapli kabob were my favorite. So flavorful. Their Chana masala were also really good. Was not a fan of their spinach curry at all. And I really wish they had real cups for water. They only had small Styrofoam cups and you have to fill up the water yourself from the corner. Very annoying and takes away from the dinner experience. Such an easy thing to fix as well, will have a lot of impact in the customer comfort.

The Celtic House Irish Pub & Restaurant
2500 Columbia Pike, ArlingtonThrilled to have found this place while attending a training conference nearby. I am not ashamed to say I came here for lunch every day of the week The good: the atmosphere is as good as it gets for a pub. Quiet lunch stop, Friendly staff a traditional pub menu great whiskey selection and a gorgeous mirror backed ornate wood bar display. I swapped between both the Reuben and fish sandwich all week and highly recommend either. The bad: My major complaint is that this place is too far from my house but it may be good enough that I start looking for new apartments in the area. This is what it is to the maximum degree if you are in the mood for an Irish pub I don't think you can do better.

Catnificent Cattery
24 S Old Glebe Rd, ArlingtonAfter doing so much research, and bypassing all the scams, my partner and I are grateful to come upon Catinificent Cattery. We communicated with Vlada. She was precise with details, proficient, and prompt. We are satisfied with our overall experience. We are blessed to have two kittens from Catnificent Cattery. Whenever I have any questions, Vlada was prepared with answers. I appreciate her going over health insurance coverage in depth with me when she has the time, and providing a recommendation for Vet care and spay/neuter facility. Vlada is flexible with her schedule to bring the kitties over to our place to complete the paperwork. During her visit, she brought a bag of items such as their comfort toy, some dry food, and some catnip. Aside from that, on a separate bag has a health insurance pamphlet, a copy of our paperwork, a little health passport, and an awesome book called, “How to Tell If Your Cat Is Plotting to Kill You.” It’s hilarious, and offers themed in comic strips, facts, and guides about crazy cat behaviors.Again, thank you Vlada for all the continued advice and support. Highly recommended Catnificent Cattery for anyone looking to home the beautiful kittens they have.
