“My primary care doctor is on the third floor of the same building. A few years ago I thought I would give Metro a try. I never turned back. Sam is so honest and caring. I have so many illnesses and I take a ton of medications. Sometimes I forget to call in refills but it doesn’t matter because Sam calls to remind me that it’s time to fill them and that he’ll have them ready in a few minutes. If I’m sick he will have someone drop off my medications and he won’t charge me a dime for the medications until the next time I come in. Can you imagine Walgreens or CVS doing that? NOT!! I love Sam at Metro Pharmacy and I wouldn’t go to any other Pharmacy. I would recommend using them. . ?”
“Saturday afternoon, August 05, 2023 I had a very positive experience shopping here, in part, because Doreen was very nice and even took my 2 heavy bags to my car for me. “We switched to SaveOn after being at Rite Aid for many years and we have not been disappointed. We appreciate the hours of operation being so varied, we’re able to get in after work or late on a weekend. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. They don’t hesitate to follow up with our doctor on expired prescriptions or any other questions that require follow up. We never have to wait long to have our prescriptions filled.”

“What else is there to say about this location, it is an Acme Market, it appears very similar to other locations that I have been in, and also appears similar to other stores owned by the parent company, such as Albertson's, Safeway, and other prominent stores in the umbrella.
This location's only rela difference is the ample amount of Tastykake, Herr's, and Utz products that they manage to sell, as an individual who used to reside in this arra, I am overwhelmed by the diversity of options that they sell at this store, as it brings joy, but also confusion. Additionally, it is the closest location to the University of Delaware, and was formerly the Kmart location in Newark that served students for nearly 35 years.”

I don't usually go to this one but I called over a dozen different places for medication and they were all out of the 1 I needed. The whole process was simple quick and easy, I'd recommend this place over my usual pharmacy .”
“I needed to purchase a bag of Purina Dog Chow and the 20 lb was not available. That left the 46 lb and it was too heavy for me. Brianna graciously lifted it into my cart for me and accompanied me to my car and put it in the trunk. That is customer service and she is to be commended. Thank her so much”

“While I dislike that the pharmacy hours were shortened during COVID I have found the entire pharmacy staff and all the Suburban Plaza Walgreens associates to be helpful and knowledgeable. I would like to see more variety in the vitamin/ supplement, per food and human food sections. Being so close to a grocery and a pet store I understand but one stop shopping is a nice alternative if the prices are reasonable...just a thought.”

“Joe was Amazing he helped me lower the cost of my prescription. He was very professional, helpful and knowledgeable. I had a wonderful experience and Joe provided great customer service. On 9/18/25 after leaving my initial review, I ended up having to arrive at the CVS pharmacy store Dr. Solomon was able to save me money on the cost of my prescription and Kendra was patient as he helped me remain calm while frustrated with my BCBS insurance company. Thank you Joe, Kendra and Dr Solomon for the professional courtesy and for going above and beyond!❤️oh and a special thank you to Keemie for encouraging me to get out of the drive thru line and come into the store for more assistance. “This pharmacy is incredible for customer service. People are complaining because they take the time to explain medications to customers and go over the costs and their benefits. They try to find the lowest price for each customer. They call when medication is in and if you want refills. Lines pharmacies? THEY ARE EVERYWHERE because people need help with their medication. If you don’t want great customer service, use mail order.”

“This is one of the better Walgreens locations that I've been to. The staff today was very friendly and helpful. It's always nice when you are greeted upon entering a store and asked if you need help while you're shopping. I have had a handful of good experiences at this location. I appreciate good customer service as it is hard to find these days. I went in around 10am on 10/8/19 and the staff was wonderful. The store was clean and organized. I believe the staff today deserves special recognition and to be rewarded for their hard work. And if a customer is taking the time to write this review then that means something!”

“Fantastic store, I was helped out by Omar and he was phenomenal and showed me absolutely extraordinary customer care. I came in to buy a snickers bar and he offered to ring me out in the photo department so that I didn’t have to wait long in line. Not once did he have a frown on his face the whole transaction and he was polite as can be going as far to tell me there was a discount on the snickers bar if I signed up for a balance rewards card. Terrific store 10/5 will come back again.”
