Since the recent remodel and the changes to the store layout to make more room for furniture, I’ve noticed a pretty significant difference in the amount of merchandise on the shelves. Where is all the merchandise? 😕 The shelves seem much more bare than they used to be, especially in the home accessories, decorative pillows, and blankets. I’ve visited other HomeGoods stores in the surrounding area, and they seem to have so much more inventory to browse through. And I know it’s not just me — whenever the topic of this store comes up, I’ve heard other shoppers mention the same thing. It also feels like there may have been some management changes, because the overall feel of the store just hasn’t been the same. I really do like this store and want to see it thrive, which is why I’m saying something. NW Bradenton HomeGoods, please stock those shelves! I used to buy 3-5 of them in different patterns because they were so flowy and comfortable! The store manager, William, provided exceptional customer service—easily a 100/100. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the inventory and helped me find everything on my list. “This is a nice neighborhood dollar store. It's kept very well stocked with carts and boxes NOT left in the aisles like so many other places do. My only bad ding is it's older and needs a redo. Otherwise the staff are all helpful and nice. The store has lots to offer to keep you from having to go all the way to a big box store. And the store brand Vitamins and medicines work very well!”

The Cincinnati-based supermarket giant will open about 110 new stores in fast-growing markets by 2029 and introduce three updated store formats, executives told investors Oct. 20 at the company’s Investor Update in New York. Kroger already runs about 2,700 stores in 35 states. The formats come in three sizes, a bit like small, medium and large, matched to each market. Mary Ellen Adcock, Kroger’s executive vice president and chief merchant and marketing officer, walked through the lineup.
Walmart shoppers want a head start on the holidays, and money explains a lot of it. Some 44% of respondents call affording the holidays their top stressor, and 61% say holiday costs shape their shopping mood. Asked what would make the season easier, 70% picked lower prices and 57% picked more deals and promotions. Convenience ranks lower: 30% want one-stop shopping across categories, and 20% want faster delivery.
Target is rolling out its most ambitious store overhaul in more than ten years, with plans to remodel over 130 locations and open 30 new stores across the country this year. The retailer is also putting money into supply chain technology upgrades to keep pace with how shoppers buy today.
