This Citgo? This specific Citgo? The one haunting Highway 44 next to the funeral home like a convenience store with unfinished business? BABY. It’s got energy. Real liminal space energy. Like time slows down once you step inside and your debit card might or might not work, depending on the moon phase.
You want snacks? They got snacks—dusty off-brand chips, sketchy but delicious off-brand orange slushies, and gummy bears that might’ve seen the Clinton administration. You want cold drinks? Good luck. Half the cooler hums like it’s possessed, and I love her for it. She’s trying her best. You should probably just take your chances, pump your gas, and cross the street to hit up the Wendy's drive thru.
Bathrooms? Mmm. Listen. If you’ve ever wanted to confront your mortality while peeing under a flickering light next door to a longstanding funeral home, this is your moment. Go ahead and reflect. You will feel watched. You might be watched. It’s part of the charm.
And don’t get me started on the clientele. Every person in there looks like they’re on a side quest. I mean, this is Citrus County, after all. The guy in front of me was wearing ill-fitting unicorn leggings and bought condoms, motor oil, and a can of wintergreen chewing tobacco. I saw a high schooler try to barter his best Pokémon cards and 500 Robux for a bottle of Yoo-hoo. Gotta respect the hustle.
Cashier’s fairly chill, like they’ve seen some things and decided inner peace isn’t worth full-time hours. Bless them. They keep that spooky little corner of Citrus County running like a haunted clock.
Anyway, four stars. This Citgo is a vibe, a portal, and probably a sentient being. Go if you dare, but don’t drink the coffee after 3pm unless you’re ready to see beyond.”

“I've ordered a few times from them through DoorDash, and have never been disappointed by the food. The first time I ate food from here, I got the fish, a pork chop, and a couple of pieces of chicken. When I saw the fish filet, it looked like it was only half of a filet, so imagine my surprise when I got a closer look to see how think cut it was. The breading was good and crunchy, with the fish being flakey and moist. They give you hot sauce and tartar sauce with it. The pork chop was definitely the star of the show. Again, the breading was crunchy, with a nice hint of Cajun seasoning, and the pork chop was cooked to perfection. The chicken's breading tasted really close to the pork chop's breading, but was a little thinker and crunchier. The chicken itself was hot and juicy. Actually, all of the food arrived steaming hot, which speaks volumes for the freshness. Not your typical middle of nowhere gas station that serves up hot food. The food is actually hot, fresh, and delicious versus the lukewarm and dry garbage other places serve up. I haven't had the opportunity to go there in person, so I can't speak on how the staff treats people, but they must be pretty friendly because anytime I've driven by there, there are always a few cars parked. If you're in the area, or in the DoorDash delivery area, this is definitely a good place to get a bite to eat from for lunch. If you can handle a little Cajun zestiness and like pork chops, you really should give these a try.”
“Very convenient. Roger and his brother own and manage the store. They are friendly, efficient, and the store has most basic items for day to day needs. There are plenty of gas pumps and the store is well stocked with about everything you could need.”
“It's a very nice clean gas and food shop. The price for gas (premium) 4.11 which is not bad. I would rather pay the same for Sunoco better gas which means more miles per gallon. I didn't get gas at the Marathon station. I stopped for a drink.”

“I go there 2 times a day for fountain soda only. This is my caffeine. For the last 3 weeks it has been down
again for CO2 not working. This has been an ongoing matter. The employees know nothing about when it will be fixed. For the love of god can you please fix this. Angry customer. I do also buy other things.”

“Great customer service, handicap accessible, due to people stealing the carts some are unable to be brought outside but they've recently added a few more carts that are available to push out to your car ?? plenty of parking, clean and well organized, great variety of items...saves us the trip of always traveling into town for needed items. “I'm writing this review for the pharmacy part of the store only. My husband and I wanted to get our flu vaccines and found out that our regular pharmacy did not have the over 65 flu vaccination that my husband needed. So I called our local Walgreens and found out yes indeed they have both doses of the flu vaccine. The pharmacy aide said no appointment necessary just come in. We signed in and were given paperwork to fill out regarding any health/ allergy issues. Just a couple of pages and HIPPA documents to be filled out and signed. They also took our insurance and identification cards. Then a short wait in their small sitting area for there were two people in front of us. The pharmacist called me behind the screen divider and introduced herself then proceeded to go over my answers. She also asked which arm I preferred to get my injection. I told her it mattered not. She then swabbed my upper arm with an alcohol wipe, waited for a few seconds to dry and gave me my shot. She was very gentle - I hardly felt it. The pharmacist was friendly, fast and efficient - sanitizing her hands before and after my vaccine. My husband and I were in and out under 20 minutes. A very positive experience and we would definitely go for our yearly flu vaccine again.”

“It's a circle k... Not sure yet what location I'm reviewing at the moment because I have visited 3 or 4 different locations recently. 2 of the locations were really big, very nice, newer stores. Either way I have no complaints. Circle k stores are pretty reliable. Oh and the ez pay is good for saving some money on gas. ?? Update: Crystal River location is actually my favorite location. Sometimes I wish they would make it bigger, but somehow it all works out even if we have to wait for a few minutes for an open pump. Every now and then there's someone that parks at 2 pumps and takes their sweet time inside the store??♀️??♀️”
“I have been to many circle k's in my life and it always seems that the workers either hate there job, there worked to hard and under paid or they just hate people. N I'm talking alot of circle k's. Anyway I was driving home late 1 night and had to stop to get a redbull. When I walked in I was greeted by this sweet voice. I got what I needed then went to the counter to pay. I decided to get some lotto tickets as well. I'm 1 of those people who say give me 3 #5 oh no wait 3 # 10s. N so on. A Lil bit of a pain in the ass. Lol. This women (Giselle) was rhe most patient sweetest and nicest worker i have ever met in any gas station place. I was blow away by her politeness that I had to write this review. So next time u need good nice help at a gas station and ur in homosassa and want genuine service with a smile stop in there she will make ur day. I bet if ur having a bad day she could turn it around just by her smile. Thank you so much Giselle. I was so touched by ur niceness that I didn't need the redbull. We just kept talking about circle k and workers at all of them. She should do the hiring for all circle k's because every circle k needs a worker just like her. Better for business. “Went in to get $5 in gas. Was paying with change because it was weighing down my purse. Get in store, cashier Jess was talking for about 3 minutes before she was going to help me. She refused to count my cash and stood there an argued with me. I will never go in this store again. Horrible customer service. She sl said she didn't care if I reported her.Edit my review :Management fixed the problem. That's why it's 5 stars”
