“Rooms: Spacious bedroomFood & drinks: Very Mexican influenced menu. Quantity too much for the average Brit. Service friendly.Noteworthy details: Helpful staff when BA failed to load my bag from LHR. Eventually turned up following day. Good liaison with Viking rep on site.”

“This was my first time staying at an Avid Hotel, and I was pleasantly surprised. The staff is absolutely excellent, super polite and helpful. The rooms were a bit small for a standard king but we didn't mind due to it only being a one night stay. Breakfast was a grab and go concept as described on the booking website. They had an assortment of cereals, greek yogurt, some fresh fruit options, jimmy dean breakfast sandwiches and baked goods. Overall, great stay and very close to the FLL Airport.”

“The best aspect of this hotel is the location. It is close to the airport, cruise port, and many shops and restaurants. They offer a free shuttle from the airport, paid shuttle to the cruise ports, coffee and alcohol bar in the lobby, and free breakfast each morning. Within walking distance, there are many popular restaurants and outlets, in addition to other bigger stores like Hobby Lobby and TJ Maxx. The other aspects of the hotel are about average, and nothing special. My wife and I stayed here the night before our cruise and it was perfect for that. We decided to take a Lyft/Uber from the hotel to the cruise port as it was cheaper, so definitely price check before signing up for the hotel shuttle. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself is newer, but definitely nothing special or noteworthy. It definitely could use better maintenance and updating in some areas, including the rooms. Our room felt clean, but was definitely tired looking and feeling. Overall, I’d recommend this hotel if you need to stay a night before a cruise or trip at the beginning or end, but I would stay here more than a night or two.”

“My family and I booked two rooms at the Hotel. We had an overall great experience there. The rooms were simple but welcoming and had all the amenities for a family stay, including a kitchenette. I had the pleasure of coordinating everything with Diana. She has been fantastic for the entire duration of the stay, always ready to help. The hotel is conveniently located off the US-1, several minutes away from the FLL airport. It is a great option for a family with kids.”

“The M Club was definitely one of the better ones we have been to. They had a nice breakfast selection inside the M Club and appetizer offerings in the evening. The selection of drinks and coffee customizations were amazing. We also were very surprised with how big our room was, we had plenty of space to unpack and relax. Nice spacious bathroom as well. The shuttle worked out for us as it leaves every hour, leaving at exactly 8 AM. It is shared between the AC hotel that is connected to it. However an Uber or Lyft is only $8-12 to the airport. The front desk was nice and the hotel was very clean. The only thing we wish could be changed was having the M Club breakfast stay available past 9 AM as we missed it the first day due to sleeping in.Walkability: Great options for retail shopping, restaurants, and grocery stores nearby.”

“Highly recommend staying at the Hyatt House at Dania Pointe pre cruise! I felt like we got a whole extra vacation day staying here since it’s within walking distance to all the shops, restaurants, music and entertainment at Dania Pointe. We traveled with our two young kids and the room was perfect with a pull out sofa for them and a kitchen. The pool was beautiful and an added bonus to enjoy our day pre cruise. We walked to Dania Pointe and enjoyed shops, restaurants and a fun splash pad for the kids. There was even live entertainment and music later in the day. TJMaxx was also walkable and a huge perk since we forgot several things for our cruise that we were able to grab before heading to the port. There is a complimentary shuttle from the airport to the hotel. There’s also a shuttle from the hotel to the port for $16 or so a person. There’s complimentary breakfast available in the morning until 930.I would absolutely recommend staying here with kids or just as a couple/solo traveler. The rooms are clean and the staff were all so wonderful, helpful and kind. Thanks Hyatt House for a clean, smooth and fun day 1 of our trip!Nearby activities: Dania pointeSafety: Needed to use your key card to get in and out of the pool area. Surrounding area seems upscale and very safe.Walkability: Dania Pointe, TJ Maxx, lots of shops and restaurants. There’s a movie theater and what looks to be a bowling place coming soon.Food & drinks: Complimentary breakfast”

“We arrived last night in two taxis with one elderly person and one disabled person in a wheelchair. There was no bell boy. We were forced to carry all our luggage ourselves to the room along with pushing my aunt in the wheelchair. There was a queue at reception to check in as there was only one person (Robert) working. He provided excellent service. We went to the Marriott hotel (it connects to our hotel and they are sister hotels who share the kitchen) and waited over an hour for two sandwiches and one burger. We had told the waiter that my aunt was diabetic but we still had to wait. We complained this morning to our hotel restaurant manager Leo and he dealt with our complaint immediately. He was very professional and efficient.”

“Best location in Fort Lauderdale Dania Beach area. Close to everything. Short distance to shopping, eateries, bars, beach and margeritaville. Customer was the best at the desk. She was by herself in an extremely busy checkout morning and was consistently helping everyone with a smooth process. The hotel has great recommendations for all your needs. I wish she was at every hotel I checked in. Bar and restraunt on site. Pool. Parking. Updated. Clean. Comfy bed. Fridge and coffee in room. 10 min from FLL Airport.”

“This is an older hotel. Know this. And now that you realize it's not the Ritz or even a modern Holiday Inn Express, enjoy your stay. Clean rooms, mini-fridge and microwave, small table, two comfortable beds... very gracious and friendly desk person. We stayed here the night before a cruise from Port Everglades, and were very happy with our choice. Far less expensive than the hotels right next to the airport even with the Uber to and from, walking distance to a great breakfast place.”

“The property is in a convenient location, the beds was comfy, and staff friendly. Only negatives: the elevators and doors are a little shop-worn, they go overboard with room fragrance in the common areas, so much so that I did not want to eat in the lobby area restaurant.”

“I was only there for 1 night before taking a cruise. After driving for 15 hours, I don't remember much about my stay. But the room was clean and we had no problems. ?”
