“11/24/23. Daytona Turkey Rod Run. Black Friday. Penney's open 5: a.m..I have rode my bicycle for years to see hot-rods gather pre-dawn near EV charging stations on Volusia mall property. Stopped by Police,..accused of "looking into"/"in between vehicles"/"Even trying one" as far as customers cars at south end entrance to Penney's. Mall security claims two customers had called and said they had to yell at me,.."Hey you need to get mov'n". Mall security told DBPD I then went into IHOP lot and rode,.."In between vehicles"I have six DBPD bodycam videos. After all this,.."In between vehicles/"Looking into vehicles"/"Even trying one",...at 6:18 Officer ask mall security if they want me trespassed and mall security say's,..."Um,...I don't wanna waste your guy'z time with it right now"????????(After all this he wouldn't want a "alleged" criminal trespassed?)Was anyone at Penny's between 5:50 a.m. and 6 a.m.?Did anyone notice dark colored black mountain bike/white male/green vest/dark pants? Does Penney's have own security cameras pointing towards entrance showing lot? I was Id checked, clean criminal history,..read Miranda rights,..thought I was going to jail,..trespassed from Mall and Ihop.No help from GM of Volusia Mall/ Mall security/CBL Properites as far as Mall lot security video?????????Dobre noche.Ceskoslovenska.”

“mostly love this place and staff, never had an issue tonight i went in at 9:39 they had an announcement saying they closed in 20 minutes... Online it says 11:59 pm? Ok strange- i head to the door as im leaving I see an employee and show her the times it says online and show the address for the specific location.. Very snooty she nods and says "starts tomorrow" Okay that's fair i'm in the industry i get it- i left. Why would corporate do this to all of these target locations?? Also, i'm fine and i get it but the attitude was unnecessary.”

“Had a great experience here today, it was almost like winning a private shopping experience - this place is ginormous with plenty of staffing, actually more customer service associates than customers. Located inside the nearly abandoned Volusia County Mall Dillard's offers plenty of outside entrances with access to all (3) stores without entering the mall, the men's department is located on the backside of the mall and there's plenty of close parking. I swear if you removed the employee's vehicles you could've counted the rest of the cars on one hand on this beautiful Saturday afternoon. It's been forever since I've shopped in a brick and mortar department store with all the online options available but I needed to pick up a few items and was happy to see some great sale prices on clothing that wasn't only on sale racks, some with up to 65% off their original prices. It seemed most of the sale associates were eager to help anyone walking through their department, so it was definitely a unique personal shopping experience. It seems like these jobs are commissioned sales positions or maybe it's just to break the boredom of being employed here nonetheless I enjoyed my time here. The store was immaculate and there was plenty of inventory as you'd expect. I picked up (3) pairs of jeans, a pair of slacks and (4) four shirts all name brand for just under $500. I love online shopping but it was nice to actually touch and feel the merchandise. This experience probably won't change my preference when it comes to shopping but it's good to see this options is still available...”

She was very busy that day, it was close to closing time, and she was very short staffed. She bent over backwards for me and was kind and non-judgemental. “Prices were really reasonable and the selection was very limited depending on what you are looking for. If you are in the area is definitely worth stopping by. I came for a shirt and left with 3 pairs of shorts a wallet for my wife and she found 2 dresses. Still on a quest for a nice dress shirt. I find the larger stores in Jacksonville and Orland have a better selection.”
