We are starting a new flock and wanted to get chicks locally but couldn’t find any that caught my eye until I stumbled upon their Facebook posts showing what they have arriving every week. I stopped in this morning to pick up 3 chicks that I saw and walked out with 5… chicken math… Excellent customer service and so much in stock for all of your needs. We will definitely be returning when I make more room for more chickens.

1431 Orange Camp Rd Ste 103, DeLandAbsolutely phenomenal!! I showed up before they opened with 2 labs to get their nails done. And I know I always wait to long, and then they get to long, and it makes it harder. Their energy level is thru the roof too, so that doesn't help either. Just a couple minutes after they opened they came out and grabbed one at a time and 10 minutes later they were both done. I chose to wait out front. They did a great job very short considering how long I wait in between. Not sharp as they are almost impossible to dremel / grind. Very reasonable price also. Will definitely go back hopefully more frequently.

152 McGregor Rd, DeLandA very conscientious veterinary clinic. During my last visit with one of my cats, Stormy, I did not have my regular vet available, so saw doctor KRUDUP. He was absolutely the best veterinarian I have ever had. I told him he didn’t have to do a full check and he reminded me that I would be charged for the visit for a check up and he was going to do the full check up he needed to do. he continually through the entire exam went beyond what I expected a veterinarian to do. He showed me how to apply eardrops as she was having problems with her ears. The medication worked and it was an overall very good experience. This is an excellent veterinarian for cats.

I ended up here in an emergency visit with my dog who tends to be fear reactive and hasn’t allowed any past vet to get close enough to touch him. Dr Schrager worked super gently with him and was able to get respirations and pulse which is an incredible step in a good direction! He’s also fed a home cooked diet ( which is typically a disagreement at any other clinic), but they were super happy to hear that we feed real, human grade food. Both Dr and Tally were transparent through the entire appointment about treatment options. Even working at a different vet clinic myself, I will be opting to bring my dogs strictly here for any future visits. Thank you FloridaWild for being such an incredible, transparent clinic fighting for nothing but the best for our pets!

I own and breed miniature horses and Dr. Luznar has foaled out 2 healthy foals for me and will have many more in the future. I've been breeding minis for many years and its difficult to find a great equine vet. Dr. Luznar and her team get 10 stars in my book. I would trust him with any of my animals. He is one of the best and his experience with small and numerous species of large animals is proof of his dedication and his love for what he does. His staff is great...including his wife, who is also a very caring person. I am frequently referring Dr Matt to people and I am so glad to see his practice flourishing.

The flavors they do have are delicious, but they’re often sold out and the vegan variety is limited. Still, it’s wonderful to have plant-based options here, and I hope they continue to expand their vegan menu in the future.

112 W Georgia Ave, DeLandI must comment on the wonderful time we had at Cafe DaVinci on Saturday, Sept 20th. We traveled to Deland from the Orlando area specifically to see the Hairborn Band show. We discovered that Cafe DaVinci is truly a Central Florida hidden gem as an outdoor music venue. The sound, light, and stage production were first class and of concert quality. There was a great local crowd of all ages in attendance who were friendly, interacted with the band, danced, and enjoyed the hard, hair band rock music of the 80's. The bartenders were friendly, fast, and remembered what we were drinking when we walked up to the bar. What truly impressed me were the courtesy water coolers available so guests could keep hydrated. (The property was large and I am not certain if there was an adjacent area where food was available.)
A sincere thank you to the bartenders, staff, sound, and production crew for your hospitality. We look forward to seeing you all again soon!

The Elusive Grape
129 N Woodland Blvd, DeLandWe stopped into The Elusive Grape after dinner on a Saturday night for a bottle of wine. We sat at the bar, played cards, and enjoyed the relaxed local crowd and live music. It’s clearly a neighborhood favorite and people seemed right at home.
The space itself is a bit cluttered and quirky, with mismatched furniture that somehow works and makes it feel cozy. The multicolored string lights are a little tacky but the slightly worn look give it a casual charm, though it could use a little sprucing up. The layout is unusual but adds to its personality.
They have a solid wine selection and great service, but I do wish they’d upgrade their glassware. The thick, heavy glasses with bulbous rims take away from the wine experience. It wouldn’t take much to offer proper, restaurant-quality tulip-shaped stemware with thin glass that really lets the wine shine.
But overall, it’s a great spot for a laid-back evening with good wine and local music. We didn’t try the food.

117 N Woodland Blvd, DeLandAbbey Bar is one of the best spots for craft beer in Central Florida. It’s earned national recognition, named one of the “Top 100 Beer Bars in America” by Imbibe Magazine and even listed on “100 Bars to Visit Before You Die.” The reputation is well deserved.
We went on a Sunday, when they’re usually closed, but they had opened for Delandtoberfest and the DeLand Craft Show. It was the perfect way to wrap up the afternoon. The vibe was laid-back and welcoming, with staff and patrons alike being friendly and easy to talk to. Behind the bar was Sammy who is always smiling, personable, and attentive.
The Abbey is known for its adventurous lineup, and the selection of meads and sour beers stood out, offering options you won’t find just anywhere. We have ordered meads and sours on other occasions. This time, my wife and I both ordered Central 28’s Hullabaloo Festbier, a Bavarian-style Marzen in honor of Oktoberfest. It was excellent, smooth and malty with caramel notes, balanced by spicy German hops, finishing crisp and clean. We enjoyed a couple of rounds while playing cribbage.
We didn’t try the food this time (they offer a small menu of appetizers, quesadillas, and paninis), but when it comes to drinks, Abbey has never let us down. With knowledgeable staff, a great selection of beer, wine, and mead, and a cozy community vibe, it’s easy to see why Abbey is considered one of the premier craft bars in Florida. We’ve never had a bad experience here and always look forward to coming back.

Persimmon Hollow Brewing Co.
111 W Georgia Ave, DeLandPersimmon Hollow is one of those places that’s perfect when you just want to unwind. The big garage door opens right onto the street, giving the brewery an open air feel and making it great for people watching. It’s also pet friendly.
I’m a fan of their Beach Hippie, and often order it at restaurants. My only wish is that they offered chilled glasses to go with it. Still, the beer is consistently good.
There’s no food here, but it’s a great spot to play cards, sip a pint, and relax. Friendly atmosphere, good beer, and an easy place to spend an hour or two. Recommended.

My husband and I visited The Bake Shop in DeLand yesterday, and we had a wonderful experience! I ordered the classic cheeseburger with sweet potato fries, and my husband had the chicken sandwich—both were absolutely delicious. Everything was made from scratch and tasted so fresh, even the dessert! We tried the chai crème brûlée, and it was incredible. Our waiter Daniel took great care of us. Thank you Daniel!
We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Taylor. She’s such an inspiring woman—creative, courageous, and full of passion for what she does. Hearing her share how she stepped out in faith to start her business was truly beautiful.
This place is definitely a gem! We’ll be coming back soon and can’t wait to visit her other locations as well. Highly recommend!

1065 S Beresford Rd, DeLandI found Trish at Patty's Parrot Palace because I was looking for someone to board my mother's African Gray parrot that is 30 years old since I was dealing with getting my mother's belongings and house cleaned out so that my mother could move to Michigan and seeing how I Couldn't have a parrot in a hotel and my mother was in the hospital. I found Trish online I went and met with her, and immediately felt this was the right place to have them. Watch my bird, Noel. I will not say this about many but I will say this about trish. Someone who should be turned into a saint. Is this woman she has taken on? Almost 300 parrots runs it as a nonprofit. Plus she also does the boarding and many other things a person that's willing to take on the responsibility to take care of the needs of so many parrots and give them a FOREVER HOMEdeserves to be a saint.
If you have a parent that you are in need of someone to take care of it, Trish's the person for you. And if you are looking for someplace to volunteer or donate, Patty's Parrot Palace is the place for you. It is a well worth
