“It is my belief that all pets deserve a loving, caring, nurturing, place to call home. Where they are safe and sound, kept warm in the winter, and cool in the summer, and hugged, and loved as much as possible. And then return, they offer very much the same for someone who needs a companion. I love this place. I love the people that are volunteering here, working here, and all that they do, for all that they serve. Keep up the good work. Without you where would these pets be??”
“Kari and her team have curated an incredible sanctuary for these rescued monkeys to live out long, happy, and social lives together. Staff was not only pleasant and accommodating to my group, but knowledgable and intentional with their care of the primates. Very inspiring place, highly recommend volunteering!”
“I've been coming here for 6years or more. It's a great place to make an appointment to have your tax done for free, and it's back within two weeks or less. They also do straight deposit into your account. I love coming here!”

“I haven't been to the Friends of the Library book sale in a while, so going was kind of an experience. I didn't really have a goal in mind for what I wanted, so just going through the stacks and browsing to see if anything caught my eye was the basic plan. Lots of people lined up, but I got through the line pretty quickly. Inside, the books are arranged in a reasonable order, and the different sections are easy to identify, so finding areas that interested me was not a problem. Coming across the cooking section, I found that there were a number of smaller cookbooks that I like to term as "Wive's Club Cookbooks" which can be some of the best/most entertaining cookbooks you can come across due to the nature of the recipes that are contained in them. You never know what you are going to find in them, though recipes from the 1960's are prevalent and gelatin comes into heavy play. Good stuff there, and I stocked up on them. Overall, the Friends of the Library book sale is always a good thing to go to!”
“Well, I was looking for the Habitat for Humanity shop. They closed last year?.
Too bad, they had great supplies for household replacements and furniture.
No photo for here.

“Great organization helping to keep our community clean and beautiful! They’ve been very helpful with my teens getting their community service hours for high school handled, and it’s great they provide guidance and supplies.”
“I called about kittens I found on my property.Thankful for the advice given over the phone. I honestly thought the mommy cat left them so I would purposely find them. I left water and food. I hope the mom comes back. Thanks again”
“All the staff at NHDC go out of their way to assist any one looking to purchase a home by offering help with credit, budgeting and, most importantly, with Down Payment Assistance.”
“Attorney Jeffrey Conner is an excellent family law attorney. He is empathetic and shows compassion when difficult or frustrating situations arise. He really cares about your situation and does everything he can to help, include listen to your concerns and answer your questions thoroughly. You can see that he really knows his stuff, and he knows what is important and a priority in the legal system as he navigates your case. His paperwork is also great. He is concise and to the point, but makes sure to include details that may be relevant that the Court would need to know. I would highly recommend him to anyone going through a difficult divorce. He cares about his clients, and I am greatful that I was abe to work with him.”
“I walked in to St Francis on dec 9th, 2024 petrified not knowing what was going to happen in my life, I lost everything due to a rough divorce! When I met Miss Sheyla, I knew immediately I was safe, she reassured me that everything was going to be okay. Our weekly meetings gave me the confidence I needed to get back on track, then came Mrs. Ameera giving me all the housing resources I needed to call, visit and follow up with, the team was amazing and helpful, couldn’t have done it without them. Mrs Tavia’s firm and strict ethics are what the residents need to have a successful story, can’t forget the advocates, each and one of them have made a difference in my life and I’m thankful, and to the back stage personal support I thank you for all your hard work and dedication to each and every case.
Today I am HOME full of gratitude, love and respect for each person that makes St. Francis a safe haven for clients like me.
For ever greatful,
Nency F.”
“Lovely setting in the middle of a very popular downtown area of parks, shops, eateries, upscale condos and hotels. AND then the homeless have set in. What a tragedy for them and this area. July 2022 and people sleeping all about. The city has an obligation to taxpayers and residents to solve the issue. No excuses. Homelessness degrades a community, encourages vagrants, crime and debris. It increases sanitation issues. Alachua County is supposedly the highest IQ County in Florida. DO SOMETHING ! START CARING ABOUT THOSE LESS FORTUNATE. Its a tragedy in itself but it detracts from a quaint shopping area where owners are trying to do something good for the area and make an honest living.”
“I got alot of Christmas items at 50% off, which I was very excited about. The store was very clean and the cashier was very friendly. I will definitely be back to find more great items ?”
“The YMCA is amazing! They have such wonderful values and really makes everyone feel welcome and like a family. I want to commend the YMCA on always making new progress and also to commend their pool manager, Lesley. She is always trying her best to keep the pool up and running for their members. We would love if she can get some more reliable lifeguards, and if we could get a sponsor to help fix up some outdated things at the pool. Other than that the Ymca has made a great home for the Aqua Angels Artistic Swimming Team and we will continue our support for this wonderful organization!”
“If you've got to take a dui course, its expensive, but the instructor for 12 hours is highly entertaining and they are easy to work with, as far as getting the paperwork you need completed.”
“Ms Hannah is so amazing ? I love her personality she is helping everyone great customer service very positive and a joy to be around please don't ever fire her”
“The staff at this Goodwill was so kind and helpful! The store is very clean and any employee that we came across was very happy and polite. I bought a gray recliner that required team work to get apart. They went above and beyond to help and it did not go unnoticed for sure! I also accidentally told them that a buggy was not ours, not knowing my daughter left it there for me to watch. The clothes got put back. When we realized what happened the girl ,who just put them away, helped us find the items again. Great employees are very hard to come across these days! Hats off to these ladies and gentlemen.”
“I work for a vendor that these folks use !!! They are super easy to work with and I believe that we together get it done as a team !!! Kista is great to work with !!!”
“What an amazing job they do at this nonprofit! The people who work for Operation Catnip are kind and hard-working. We are so thankful to have them here in Gainesville to help community cats.”
