Great Outdoors Restaurant
18587 High Springs Main St, High SpringsIt is great…outdoors that is! The patio seating area here is large with a stage at the far end and a good bit of room to dance in front of it. Should it rain, Outdoor tables can be covered, heaters when it’s cool/cold, fans when it ain’t. More often than not they have a live band (or individual) performing. Funny, in a small town everybody knows everybody so you have friends wherever you go, often making it like one big reunion outside. Cute.
Two things I’d like to see change tho- the last 2-3 visits the service has been terrible, seriously. Like, on two separate visits I had to go get our (two different) servers from behind the bar serving drinks because we had none terrible. Not her fault though, she was doing the job of two people. It’s a very small town, likely hard to find a lot of dependable people, but you gotta hope the restaurant realizes employees won’t stay if they overwork them, plus their tips are much lower. Maybe they don’t pay them well. Idk, but it shows somewhat in the food as well, tho that wouldn’t keep me from eating there since I know which things aren’t that great. The cauliflower crust flatbread is *(chef’s kiss).
Bottom line: “Hey Mikey! He likes it!” For all you old folks like me; for the rest yes, I recommend you head over to The Great Outdoors, sit a spell and relax ?
