“I love aldi do 90 percent of my shopping there. Love their produce to a lot cheaper than the other stores. Their store pizza is cheap n good huge to. Their bread is excellent to. Their knockoff from Dave's killer bread is like 3 to 4 bucks cheaper with better ingredients. Milk is also cheaper to.”

“This winn Dixie, is just a reskinned Harvey's supermarket. Which was just a.reskinned food lion.. the store setup and layout is about the exact same as when it was originally built. The only things that I can that's changed, is the branding and store colors/decorations... All the food items are still in the same spots as they were when food lion still had the self serve salad bar in the deli with those delicious little garlic mushrooms... They don't have those mushrooms anymore though, so I'm not sure if I can recommend this store anymore...”

This isn't just your average dollar store; it's a shining example of top-notch retail service, all thanks to its phenomenal staff. The moment you walk in, you can feel the positive energy. The store is always clean, well-stocked, and organized—a true testament to the hard work of the entire team. I especially want to give a massive shout-out to four superstars who truly make this location exceptional:
Alix is an absolute gem at the register! His cheerful demeanor and quick efficiency turn what could be a mundane checkout into a genuinely pleasant interaction. He always remembers a kind word for every customer.
Joey has a fantastic eye for detail. Whether I'm looking for a specific seasonal item or need help locating something down an aisle, Joey is right there with a friendly smile and the knowledge to point me exactly where I need to go. Chrissy is the queen of organization! Thanks to her efforts, the shelves are always immaculate, making it easy to find great deals on everything from cleaning supplies to snacks. She clearly takes immense pride in keeping the store looking its best. And finally, Trish goes above and beyond with her customer service. On my last visit, she helped me troubleshoot a digital coupon issue with patience and a positive attitude. She didn't stop until the problem was solved, and that dedication is rare!

“I went in today to do some shopping when I walled into the store they had Mothers day bouquets at the front door I found one I truly liked. I wanted to see about adding a little purple carnation to it, I spoke with Victoria the florist and she went above and beyond to help me. she looked and was able to find 4 little purple carnations and added it to my bouquet. I was very pleased with it. Victoria went out of her way to help me with the perfect bouquet for my mom. Thank you for all your help.”

But the staff are friendly and typically have two registers open to help customers process their purchases quickly, with no long lines to wait in. The parking out front is plentiful and easily accessible from East Duval street.”

“This Dollar General location is well organized and consistently clean. I’ve stopped in several times for convenience items and have generally found the staff to be courteous and the store well maintained.
However, during my most recent visit, I experienced something that left me uncomfortable. When I made a purchase, the young white lady closely examined my cash in a manner that felt excessive and unnecessary. While I understand the importance of verifying currency, the way it was handled made the interaction feel unsettling.
I’m not certain whether this was due to a recent issue involving counterfeit bills or something else, but the experience did not sit well with me. While I still recognize the store’s cleanliness and overall presentation, I do appreciate having other shopping options in the area moving forward.”

They didn't have but one person working the register usually they have 2 people working don't know what is going on in this store”
“What a great little Citgo Store. Had to go that way for business and was able to pay at the pump and save 5 cents off fuel with thier rewards program. Store was clean and friendly. It was a pleasant surprise. Very busy inside so you may have to wait just a minute, but the service was perfect.”

“Let’s give credit where credit is strictly due: Stephanie, Janna, Katelyn, Joey, and the rest of the incredible crew whose names I’ve yet to catch have been absolutely stellar. Every single interaction with them has been nothing short of awesome.
Running a retail store right off the interstate—and directly across from the local Love’s—is no joke. This location faces a heavy, relentless influx of traffic, including a non-stop stream of travelers and truckers. The staff is constantly being pulled in a million directions, balancing their daily tasks while helping customers navigate the store. And let's be real: since no two Dollar Generals are ever laid out the same way, they are answering “where is this?” all day long! (Not a bash to the store, but the corporate layout logic is truly a mystery of the universe 😉). Yet, they handle it amazingly.
I also noticed some complaints in other reviews that I feel compelled to address. First, regarding the Mustang parked in the front corner spot: as a woman who understands the realities of closing a store at night, the complaints about this are entirely unfair. Being right off a busy highway means safety is the absolute priority. Parking right by the front door ensures that employee has a fast, direct, and safe path to her car or back inside if a suspicious character is lurking. It’s a common-sense safety measure, not a privilege.
Second, to anyone commenting on cleanliness: if you haven’t personally worked a grueling shift at a Dollar General, Dollar Tree, or Family Dollar, please give these workers some grace. Go apply, walk a mile in a service worker's shoes, see how much chaos they manage on a skeleton crew, and then look at things with a little more perspective. Until you've been in their position, kindness and empathy should come first.
This crew is doing a phenomenal job under high-stress conditions, and they deserve nothing but respect and appreciation!”
“Lake City Walmart is all we have in this area besides Live Oak(which is newer & bigger). I see them trying to be better here. I don't like the simple fact that it's almost ALL self check out and you don't get a discount for doing a job of an employee,especially if you are doing a 30-day shop,it's a bit tedious. I pray the new digital pricing on the shelves don't come here, as I am informed they can change those prices within 2 min of you picking up the item and ringing it up(which to me is price gouging at its finest). Keep your eyes open shoppers.”
