“Absolutely AMAZING everything, from the cashiers (Miss Mary and others) and --- through the aisles, and the owners, and freshly prepared food dinners TWO days a week, and new items coming in all the time. I love the family, and Miss Mary, and everyone. I am Barbara Griffin and I live in Lake City, and this venue is about 8 minutes from my front door. The meat is perfect, and home grown, some of it, and butchered in the kitchen. What more could you ask for ? I feel safe buying from them. SAFE !!!! I am going on a carnivore diet for a while, and I will NOT buy meat from anyplace else so I can feel safe !!!!!! They are meticulous in packaging and quality. What are you waiting for !!!! Put your car in DRIVE and head over that way. Just leave some for me !!!!”
“I love aldi do 90 percent of my shopping there. Love their produce to a lot cheaper than the other stores. Their store pizza is cheap n good huge to. Their bread is excellent to. Their knockoff from Dave's killer bread is like 3 to 4 bucks cheaper with better ingredients. Milk is also cheaper to.”
“My favorite store and my favorite employee. I make sure to go through her line every time. She is always next to the office. She needs a raise.. She always goes above and beyond. I just love her, she's such a sweetheart.”
“This Publix is my favorite local location to shop. It's always very clean. The employees are very friendly and helpful. I like that the produce is always fresh and there is a wide variety compared to other grocery stores in the area. All around it's my go to Publix.”
“This winn Dixie, is just a reskinned Harvey's supermarket. Which was just a.reskinned food lion.. the store setup and layout is about the exact same as when it was originally built. The only things that I can that's changed, is the branding and store colors/decorations... All the food items are still in the same spots as they were when food lion still had the self serve salad bar in the deli with those delicious little garlic mushrooms... They don't have those mushrooms anymore though, so I'm not sure if I can recommend this store anymore...”
“Nice location with plenty of parking. I needed to find a couple of phone cable chargers that would work in the hotel room. The cashier was helpful and told me where they were so I was in and out quickly.”
“Very friendly and serves well today, Sunday, December 29, I went to buy them 10 chicken tamales in green sauce, which I ordered by phone and they gave me 10 pork tamales with red sauce, and the tamales were very salty, first check the order”
“Usually fine what I'm looking for and it's a good in and out store as far as the people that work there don't let the lines get too backed up and usually very courteous”
“This Dollar General location is clean and organized typical for DG stores. But the staff are friendly and typically have two registers open to help customers process their purchases quickly, with no long lines to wait in. The parking out front is plentiful and easily accessible from East Duval street.”
“This place is great ,Paul and his wife are amazing people, They are always getting new items and they have great prices. They also have really good Pizza & wings!”
“I just wanted to write a review to highlight one of your employees. Ashlee is absolutely excellent. She’s always super friendly, efficient, and patient, making the whole shopping experience smooth and pleasant. You can tell she really cares about doing a great job and helping customers with a smile. Definitely one of the best employees there!”
“Actually the nicest Dollar General I've ever entered. Smelled wonderful, everyone was kind and welcoming, and I actually felt happy to enter one of these places. Think all the other Dollar Generals should be taking notes from this one.”
“Wonderful store !!!! Very clean and stocked shelves !! “Save a lot is my go to grocery store lower over all prices than the name brand super market stores and it's close to home win win store for me and everyone in the neighborhood.”
“Diana is AWESOME! She helped me get a coupon deal and even find it in the DG app! She also checked the aisle to see what the deal was and actually help me with it instead of just writing it all off- she went out of her way to save me money! Give the woman a raise- she's an asset and y'all sure are lucky to have her!!!”
“The staff there are pretty unique and cool. I definitely like them all like they are friends/family. Down to Earth people & decent selection, enough to hold you over till you actually feel like driving to town, lol. Shout out to Hopes mom, The Hope that works at the Lake City Ihop, her mom works at that Dollar General. Sorry I suck at names.. lol. Yall keep up the good vibes and keep that money rolling in.”
“? A Five-Star Shopping Experience at Dollar General Store 019930! ? I simply must share my incredible experience at the Dollar General, Store 019930! This isn't just your average dollar store; it's a shining example of top-notch retail service, all thanks to its phenomenal staff. The moment you walk in, you can feel the positive energy. The store is always clean, well-stocked, and organized—a true testament to the hard work of the entire team. I especially want to give a massive shout-out to four superstars who truly make this location exceptional: Alix is an absolute gem at the register! His cheerful demeanor and quick efficiency turn what could be a mundane checkout into a genuinely pleasant interaction. He always remembers a kind word for every customer. Joey has a fantastic eye for detail. Whether I'm looking for a specific seasonal item or need help locating something down an aisle, Joey is right there with a friendly smile and the knowledge to point me exactly where I need to go. Chrissy is the queen of organization! Thanks to her efforts, the shelves are always immaculate, making it easy to find great deals on everything from cleaning supplies to snacks. She clearly takes immense pride in keeping the store looking its best. And finally, Trish goes above and beyond with her customer service. On my last visit, she helped me troubleshoot a digital coupon issue with patience and a positive attitude. She didn't stop until the problem was solved, and that dedication is rare! If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by Dollar General Store 019930. You'll not only find great deals but also the friendliest, most helpful staff around. Alix, Joey, Chrissy, and Trish—thank you for making every trip a pleasure!”

“This Dollar General location is well organized and consistently clean. I’ve stopped in several times for convenience items and have generally found the staff to be courteous and the store well maintained. However, during my most recent visit, I experienced something that left me uncomfortable. When I made a purchase, the young white lady closely examined my cash in a manner that felt excessive and unnecessary. While I understand the importance of verifying currency, the way it was handled made the interaction feel unsettling. I’m not certain whether this was due to a recent issue involving counterfeit bills or something else, but the experience did not sit well with me. While I still recognize the store’s cleanliness and overall presentation, I do appreciate having other shopping options in the area moving forward.”
“I went in today to do some shopping when I walled into the store they had Mothers day bouquets at the front door I found one I truly liked. I wanted to see about adding a little purple carnation to it, I spoke with Victoria the florist and she went above and beyond to help me. she looked and was able to find 4 little purple carnations and added it to my bouquet. I was very pleased with it. Victoria went out of her way to help me with the perfect bouquet for my mom. Thank you for all your help.”
“I like coming to this store because it is near my house.usually the store is well stocked. Today a lot of the shelves didn't have much on them. I did find what I came for. They didn't have but one person working the register usually they have 2 people working don't know what is going on in this store”
“What a great little Citgo Store. Had to go that way for business and was able to pay at the pump and save 5 cents off fuel with thier rewards program. Store was clean and friendly. It was a pleasant surprise. Very busy inside so you may have to wait just a minute, but the service was perfect.”
“It's chill, friendly small town so neighbors know each other here. Mostly here to say it's surprising the food prices are same as LA/Cali if not even slightly more expensive. I guess due to transport out here. Other than that just a typical store.”
“Let’s give credit where credit is strictly due: Stephanie, Janna, Katelyn, Joey, and the rest of the incredible crew whose names I’ve yet to catch have been absolutely stellar. Every single interaction with them has been nothing short of awesome. Running a retail store right off the interstate—and directly across from the local Love’s—is no joke. This location faces a heavy, relentless influx of traffic, including a non-stop stream of travelers and truckers. The staff is constantly being pulled in a million directions, balancing their daily tasks while helping customers navigate the store. And let's be real: since no two Dollar Generals are ever laid out the same way, they are answering “where is this?” all day long! (Not a bash to the store, but the corporate layout logic is truly a mystery of the universe 😉). Yet, they handle it amazingly. I also noticed some complaints in other reviews that I feel compelled to address. First, regarding the Mustang parked in the front corner spot: as a woman who understands the realities of closing a store at night, the complaints about this are entirely unfair. Being right off a busy highway means safety is the absolute priority. Parking right by the front door ensures that employee has a fast, direct, and safe path to her car or back inside if a suspicious character is lurking. It’s a common-sense safety measure, not a privilege. Second, to anyone commenting on cleanliness: if you haven’t personally worked a grueling shift at a Dollar General, Dollar Tree, or Family Dollar, please give these workers some grace. Go apply, walk a mile in a service worker's shoes, see how much chaos they manage on a skeleton crew, and then look at things with a little more perspective. Until you've been in their position, kindness and empathy should come first. This crew is doing a phenomenal job under high-stress conditions, and they deserve nothing but respect and appreciation!”
“It's a nice store You get to see pretty much same employees on any given day and no boxes in the way ..pretty much the stores shelves are pretty much full And their $stuff all the time is full and they always have the liquid bleach by the gallon And they have those hand sanitizer in the lil square bottles. The trendy ones and they 1$ Walmarts and d$tree and 5 below Dont have them for that price”
“We stopped in here late one night on our way down to Florida and my wife got some groceries for us to have and we ate sandwiches in the car and kept on driving but we walked in for a minute to use the restrooms and buy the groceries so it was a nice Walmart and I didn't have any problems with it”
The Cincinnati-based supermarket giant will open about 110 new stores in fast-growing markets by 2029 and introduce three updated store formats, executives told investors Oct. 20 at the company’s Investor Update in New York. Kroger already runs about 2,700 stores in 35 states. The formats come in three sizes, a bit like small, medium and large, matched to each market. Mary Ellen Adcock, Kroger’s executive vice president and chief merchant and marketing officer, walked through the lineup.
Walmart shoppers want a head start on the holidays, and money explains a lot of it. Some 44% of respondents call affording the holidays their top stressor, and 61% say holiday costs shape their shopping mood. Asked what would make the season easier, 70% picked lower prices and 57% picked more deals and promotions. Convenience ranks lower: 30% want one-stop shopping across categories, and 20% want faster delivery.
Walmart wants your groceries at the door before the ice cream softens. On May 29, the retailer said its 30-minute-or-less delivery had reached 33 U.S. markets, adding a wave of new cities across the Northeast. Shoppers in those areas can order from more than 100,000 items, everything from fresh produce and baby formula to pet food, electronics, cold medicine, and prescriptions. Behind the scenes, the service leans on Walmart's store network and an algorithm that factors in order size, available drivers, and distance from the store.
Trader Joe's keeps adding stores, and shoppers keep showing up. The California grocer has marked nine more locations as "opening soon," pushing its expansion into new corners of the country. The grocer also took first place in the American Customer Satisfaction Index's 2026 supermarket rankings. It has held a spot near the top of that list for years.
Target is rolling out its most ambitious store overhaul in more than ten years, with plans to remodel over 130 locations and open 30 new stores across the country this year. The retailer is also putting money into supply chain technology upgrades to keep pace with how shoppers buy today.
