“The Hillsboro Inlet Lighthouse is a must-visit for anyone interested in history, lighthouses, or simply stunning views. The lighthouse was built in 1874 and is the tallest lighthouse in Florida. It stands 175 feet tall and projects a beam that can be seen for 28 nautical miles. It offers panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, the Hillsboro Inlet, and the surrounding area. ItThe lighthouse is open to the public for tours and offers a variety of educational exhibits. Visitors can learn about the history of the lighthouse, the role it played in navigation, and the marine life that can be found in the area. There is also a small museum on-site that houses artifacts related to the lighthouse and its history.In addition to the lighthouse itself, the Hillsboro Inlet Lighthouse Park is a beautiful place to spend an afternoon. The park has a beach, a playground, and a picnic area. “I had a wonderful experience there, I got to visit numerous cats, and decided between 2 of them, I visited a few more times just to spend time with them both. I choose Itsy Bitsy Spider (that's what they called her) I call her Bitzy though, she was a runt and had a 1/2 tail that was all crooked and bent, but so lovable. I believe the story was some one shut her tail in a car or something as it’s 1/2 a tail and 1/2 the tail it’s bent about 30% to the side, then they left her at a fire station.
The other cat I didn't think would have a problem getting adopted because it was also lovable but with no noticeable flaws as you know sometimes people choose looks over personality so I went with the one I thought would have trouble getting a home.
The staff was nothing but gracious to me and I was thrilled with the place so much I send them donations when I can, but after the car wreck I was in last year I am on disability so I can’t donate as much as I would like to. I also dropped off some food and gave them a pink martini cat scratcher which was about 4 feet high and pink. I thought this underfunded place was simply fabulous! Yea for them! I went there in 2016 and Bitzy is still thriving.

Most thrift stores these days have raised their prices but this place had a great selection (especially for being a small store) and even better prices. I’m usually picky and I ended up buying over 10 items! It’s awesome that it all goes to support a great cause. We will definitely be back!”
“This non profit did a fundraising event on the Christian radio station to build houses for the poor in Haiti. After donating, they sent me a pic of the house with the single Mom and young child standing in front of the home. So happy God has used this company to be the hands and feet of Christ. “My husband George Taylor and I have been visiting American Legion Post 142 for a few months now. It is a Beautiful Atmosphere, Warm, Friendly, Respectful, Welcoming, Social Quarters. Meeting the Most Decorated Veterans. Meeting new Friends. The Food is Outstanding, Along with all their Cooks and Volunteers, their Waitresses, Bartenders.. The Entertainment is Superb, The Various Games and Events are exciting and Lots of Fun. There is Always Beautiful Patriotic Events happening. The American Legion Post 142 is a HEARTFELT PATRIOTIC ESTABLISHMENT.”

“We were here on a Sunday for the Hot Rods and Hot Dogs Car Show. We did not go inside the actual community center as the show was held outside. The parking lot was ample enough to host two rows of classic and modern cars for the show, as well as parking for spectators. There was room enough up by the building to have 3 food trucks, too! The center is easy to access with a driveway entrance on Coconut Creek Parkway and another one on Lyons. Great location for a community center!”
“Ive been a part of the Temple Beth El family since I was in early childhood. Now, I get the pleasure of seeing my son be a part of this incredible community. He has grown so much during his time at Beth El from learning new songs to developing his fine motor skills. The teachers and administrators go above and beyond to make him feel loved and supported. Nothing brings me more joy then spending the Jewish holidays with my son and my parents who are also lifelong supporters and community members of this amazing place. We also were fortunate enough to have Rabbi Dan host a virtual bris for our son during covid. We love our Temple Beth El family and are so grateful to be a part of this amazing community!”
“I love out of the closet! On this day they were having a mega sale on a plethora of clothes in the parking lot, $2 per item. They do that every once in a while but they have the best men’s selection for a thrift store in the area. They have tons of selections especially for jeans and shirts, which are color coordinated, as well as books! It’s the best place to beef up your book collection for only $1 a book sometimes. They also have a pharmacy inside so you can shop.”

A talented and diligent bartender will make you an amazing pizza or a succulent hot dog with your cold beer. Interest in a sammie or some hot, nourishing soup? It’s on the menu.Interested in participating in a world-class backyard bbq with delicious eats, fully stocked tiki bar AND a live band? …not to mention that you don’t have to clean your house to participate. Win win, last Sunday of every month.Karaoke on Wednesday? Between Emma the singing host and Sarah the singing bartender—who could be adverse??Parties, events, pool tables, darts, free wifi, a comfy place to meet friends or hang with your family—check out the local chapter of the moose lodge.Maybe you just want a quick, post-work cold one amongst friends?
