Secret Garden Miami Beach is a hotel of contrasts with both notable positives and significant drawbacks. The location is a major plus, being very close to the beach, bus stations, grocery stores, restaurants, and a market. Rooms are generally described as large, clean, and good-sized, sometimes matching the photos, with amenities like air conditioning, a refrigerator, and a functional elevator. Some rooms even feature a jacuzzi. The staff receives mixed but often polite reviews, with instances of helpful service like providing towels or facilitating an early check-in. However, several consistent cons affect the experience. The complimentary breakfast is repeatedly criticized as very basic, weak, or merely a snack of coffee, toast, and boiled eggs. Parking is not free and is considered pricey. Issues with room maintenance are common, including problems with bathroom functionality, a lack of amenities like a hair dryer or coffee facilities, and sometimes insufficient or small towels. Noise from outside can be an issue, and hallway odors or a non-working elevator are noted. The value is debated, with some finding it a bit pricey, especially for extras like parking or expensive mini-bar items. While suitable for a short stay, the hotel's glamorous appearance can be misleading, and it requires tolerance for its inconsistencies.
