“First class rescue! They will do anything to help a dog and gladly do it. I was in a situation to intervene with a family member who had a beautiful sweet designer dog that was sick. I convinced them to turn the dog into rescue for medical care and Poodle and Pooch gladly accepted and got immediate medical care for the dog. All communication has been positive. I Highly recommend this rescue!!!!”

“Just volunteered here at the store with my 12 year old son. It was great! We helped organize and stock the shelves from 9am- 12 pm for the teacher shoppers who will be visiting later today. This is a great cause and organization. Highly recommend if you have a middle schooler who needs volunteer hours. I've also in the past volinteered with pencil boy express and in their warehouse myself, and I can say all have been positive experiences. ? The Manager, Teege, was very welcoming, patient and friendly. They even played some great jams while we worked ?”

“Weekend to Remember Nationwide is amazing! We began attending 4 years ago in Texas and our jaws were on the floor. Being married since 1997 and having gone though many Marriage Sessions, Counseling, Books we could have just gone to one of these events. They covered all that we have learned plus some, over the course of about 10 years in this 3 day Retreat! Unbelievable a must attend for newly married or engaged couples! Highly recommended!!! “I really hate to write a review of my bad experience after all pleasant experiences I have had here. I was just attacked by a older veteran as usual. I look younger for my age but I will be 40 yrs old in September. The first time I experienced a black volunteer he tries to reject me from my rights and privileges. There was a white veteran before me he never asked for his ID but looked directly at me asking for what I’m already holding out to hand him with an authoritative attitude then automatically tells me “we are at capacity and only accepting active duty” then turns around to get the confirmation only to be told he was wrong they are at 32 of 50. He continues to make a big episode announcing after the last person that’s it. Good thing I wasn’t the last one. He would have definitely shut the door in my face with pride. I think you all need to remind your volunteers they are not active leaders over subordinates. He spoke to me like a child. I grab some snacks and head out the door and as I’m walking towards the door he’s staring me down with the evil eye I guess upset he wasn’t able to turn me away. I asked he “Sir are you ok” avoiding saying something else. He started yelling at me “I DONT DO ATTITUDE” this was a despicable way to treat another black man. He definitely felt intimidated by my height and color and I guess I didn’t fit his description of a retired veteran.I experience this all the time at the VA by jealous veterans especially now that I’m receiving dental care many are not. I was even chastised by older veterans while I was fighting cancer. Saying rude things to me and within ear shot. Like “yea I see they just let anyone in here now” I felt this same way today. Discrimination from fellow veterans.In addition I would like to thank the wonderful people that I met before today. You all are doing a tremendous service for all our service men and women. Orlando is by far the best USO I have ever visited. Always friendly and welcoming. The facility has so many options for entertainment from kids toy and video games as well as dvds, books, magazines and computers etc for adults. The even have a kids area and quiet room available. Always clean and fully stocked refreshments for you to enjoy.”
