“for a hotel called the wave, there should be some art in there that depict waves. I tried to speak to the front desk about it, because I know an artist who does photography of waves, and they didn’t even know who to refer me to. Too bad.”

“It is a very nice hotel, very price convenient, it has the advantage of getting early access to Univeral Island of Adventure, walking distance to the park. The amenities are great for kids. The dinner has some healthy options. Rooms are a bit old but for a few nights stay is ok. We will definitely come back.”

“I go here every 6 months and it is so fun! Kids love it. I'm at the point where the workers recognize and know me. I love how this place feels so homely! Here, you can do activities and earn sand dollars, a currency here you can use to buy cool stuff, just by doing activities!Rooms: The rooms are amazing! They are always completely clean and ready for you.Nearby activities: There is always activities going on, almost every hour.Safety: This place is very safe, they have lifeguards at every pool.Walkability: You can trust your kids to walk off here, because it is really walkable.Food & drinks: Amazing food and drinks! I love ordering here!”

“Is a cost effective resort with the water taxi to Universal and Islands that was the best part not having to walk from the parking garage and was easy in and out after a long day at the parks. Also this resort has the largest pool/bar area at any one of the Universal hotels and is amazing during the summer months if you have kids. We will definitely be back this summer to enjoy the property !”

“This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in for a family vacation in Orlando. I stayed here for 4 days and it has absolutely everything from a foodcourt with many options to bars, game room, starbucks and many great amenities. I would like to thank the great team that this hotel has each staff that I spoke to was pleasant & helpful which made our stay easier. The suite we stayed in was spectacular and the cleanliness was top of the line. Checking in and checking out was also so easy because they send you an email to do so or you can do it by the room tv and it saves you from standing in the very long lines. The room keys are also great souvenirs with your name on it that you can take as memory. I would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat and I am planning on returning to this hotel when visiting Orlando again. Thank you!”

“It is a beautiful hotel. Rooms are very nice. Only issue would be the mattresses. They are not very comfortable. Service only got 3 stars due to there lack of friendliness. Asked for a few clean towels from them when they were cleaning the room next to ours and it was like I was asking for our room to be completely cleaned. Language barrier as well.Location is closer to all amenities.”

“I don't go to a resort to stay in the room but I always enjoy a modern, "crisp" room. While there is nothing wrong with the room, other than the ac constantly short-cycling, it could really use some updating.Nearby activities: Very nice golf course on the property.Food & drinks: Many options on the property. Love the convenience.”

“Beautifully landscaped grounds with golf course and jogging paths! ...Stopped by to see the hotel for a future booking on a visa points stay. Enjoyed a nice afternoon "walk- jog". I chose the A path at 1.3 miles that meanders by beautiful little lakes and Grand Oaks. There is also a B path that is over 3 miles long. I visited the hotel for lunch but all was closed except the bar and limited menue pool side restaurant. Call ahead if wish to fully dine with table service. This hotel is a nice oasis near Disney and has lots of beautiful pools and lakes as well as resort property for families to unwind. A good value compared to other hotel or resort options. Resort valet and self parking fees are very high ( $30.00 plus) so it might be better to shuttle in if you can do without a car if you plan to stay more than a few nights.Safety: Security guard with gated entrance on premises .”

“A spectacular hotel ? to spend a few days of rest, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, luxury and comfort is its most appreciable characteristic.Rooms: Excellent service, everything very clean, no complaints.Safety: Safe, very private.Walkability: Many walking possibilities with incredible views.Food & drinks: Excellent food and a restaurant with a Michelin star, what more could you ask for.”

“I recommend this hotel 100%!!!Unbeatable value for money, free parking, helpful and friendly staff. All services are well explained.Clean and spacious room, beautiful swimming pool, hotel full of activities (swimming pool, various free games, etc.) and magnificent decor. Possibility of eating on site as there is a food court.Shuttle service available for the different parks, plus as you are staying in a Disney hotel you benefit from early entry into the parks.Rooms: Large functional room with all the necessary amenities (hygiene products, television, shower, etc.)Nearby activities: Close to Disney Springs and shuttle that goes thereSafety: Security check at the entrance to the hotel grounds when arriving by carFood & drinks: Food court available on site with different specialties offered (pizzas, pasta, hamburgers, etc.)Noteworthy details: Ping pong tables, kicker, large chess set, Disney figurine throughout the hotel”

“I learned of this hotel a few years back when I ate at the restaurant (see my earlier review restaurant is amazing also). Arriving at this hotel, parking was a little confusing but I'll blame it on the construction in the area and not take a star off. The lobby, rooms and amenities were clean, modern and simple. I didn't take many pictures of the room but they were very nice. The price was kind of steep per night but not overpriced for what was offered and it being the Florida Classic weekend. I would recommend.”

“Loved the site....Hated the constructionRooms: Great sizeNearby activities: Soooo close to the parks.Walkability: Loved the convenience of the hotel to all the parks. No wasted time commuting like at WDW.Food & drinks: Great options for food. Much better than Disney.”

“Place is nice.Rooms: Rooms are clean and spacious, and the bed was comfortable. Just make sure you bring your own water. You pay $6-7 for bottled water. That was my only beef LOL water should be complimentary, but if they must charge $2-3 tops geeze!Nearby activities: The pool inside is nice with a cool slide. Lots of restaurants inside. Close to all the attractions like Universal.Food & drinks: Venetian Chophouse was amazing. Gustavo was an on point, professional, and personable server. The sports bar downstairs is a great place to watch the UFC fights! Rum bar upstairs was cool too. I think Cole served us and was very friendly.”

“Rooms are past their prime, but the layout/size and amenities are great. Staff service made up for the older room, everyone we interacted with was so friendly and accommodating. They have a text concierge service that is manned by humans 24/7 and was very helpful. The proximity to Universal was an obvious plus.”

“I stayed here for my weekend getaway. I’d give five stars for the friendly hotel staff and their excellent services. Everyone working here is passionate. However, I’d give three stars for the outdated room. Here’s the difference between their renovated room and old rooms. I hope they will finish the innovation as soon as possible. The old room doesn’t provide a cozy and luxurious feeling, which the Waldorf Astoria name brand should offer.”

“I decided to book the Sabal Palms Villa after seeing how nice another friend's experience had been during Holiday Matsuri 2022. I was so glad I did. The two bedroom/two bathroom villas were perfect for our group from the Midwest. We enjoyed a quiet and spacious experience during an otherwise bustling and busy convention. The villa was our peaceful sanctuary. We used the fully equipped kitchen to prepare dinner for our group, the fridge, microwave, washer, and dryer came in handy during our trip. We had a private concierge who texted us and quickly took care of our needs whenever something came up. We were provided clean linens every two days. I switched out all of our trash can liners and brought out the recycling. The staff came to get it so quickly once we texted them. When we checked out the staff held our luggage so we could spend a few hours at Disney Springs. It was truly a lovely experience. I highly recommend the villas if you're going with a group or a large family.Rooms: One king bedroom, one bedroom with two beds, and a living room with a pull out couch. It was lovely!Walkability: It was very easy to walk back and forth between the Orlando World Center Marriott and the Villas.”

“My first stay in Florida ever and it was tremendous! My firm hosted an event here and we heard nothing but great things from our attendees and my coworkers. Its beautiful with so much to do on site, something for everyone, every place had great food and a gorgeous golf course. Every staff member was always willing to help and go above and beyond. We will be back, i will be back and looking forward to 2025!”

“We had a great stay. The woman at the front desk and the shuttle driver when we checked in went out the way to make sure we had everything we needed...including milk for our Littles when the Pantry (small store in the lobby) was out. Hotel was quiet. Free shuttle to airport was very quick.”

“It's great there, but I feel my wife was ripped off on a timeshare. Hopefully she can work it out for a better outcome. She uses Hilton for business and is Hilton Honors Silver, so I don't understand their thinking.”

“I love this fabulous Renaissance location. Each time I come here is always a great stay . The facilities are kept very clean. They also gave me a nice upgrade to a huge room with a sitting area. They have multiple restaurants and pools on site. They also have a small waterpark area for kids. On Saturday there was even a DJ. They played games and prizes were given out to the winners. The location of this resort is excellent as it is literally walking distance from SeaWorld, so it would be a perfect place to stay if you want to go to the park. Be aware that there is a $45 per day resort fee. It is also close to the sand Lake and Dr. Phillip areas which have, the famous restaurant row (lots of fancy dining ). It is also located close to international Drive area. They also have a lot of nice spots for photo op and moments if you like to post for Contant on Instagram and Snapchat. We will definitely be back.Rooms: Rooms are spacious, clean, and well kept. Large sweets and family rooms are available.Nearby activities: Right next to the SeaWorld and Discovery Cove. Also close to international Drive and restaurant rowSafety: Extremely safe and well that areaWalkability: You can walk to SeaWorld as well as a bonefish Grill and CVS and Walgreens across the streetFood & drinks: Multiple restaurants and bars on site”

“Our recent stay at Arnold Palmer's Bay Hill Club and Lodge on October 7-8 was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we walked in, we were enveloped in a warm and welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for an unforgettable experience. What truly stood out was the exceptional attention to detail and personalized service provided by the entire team, especially Food and Beverage. They went above and beyond to make my boyfriend's 30th birthday celebration extra special, with thoughtful touches and genuine care that left a lasting impression. Our stay was a perfect blend of comfort, hospitality, and luxury. The dining experiences were exquisite, the surroundings stunning, and the service impeccable. Our room was surprisingly comfortable, and we had no problem getting a great night's rest before playing golf the next morning.I want to extend our deepest gratitude to the entire staff for their dedication to making our stay truly exceptional. Bay Hill Club and Lodge has earned its esteemed reputation because of the exceptional people who work tirelessly to ensure their guests feel cherished.Thank you for adding that extra layer of magic to our stay, and we look forward to returning in the near future. “One of best resorts in the area! Rooms are large and private, all within a quick trip to the pool and other facilities. Close to shopping and restaurants, and the staff is extremely helpful, especially the manger and front desk staff. As a former Florida resident, I've stayed at countless resorts in Orlando in my lifetime, and this place is at the top of.my list!”

It has tennis courts, ping pong table, pool tables and rooms have full kitchens if you want to cook like I did. It is a very nice resort with great service and very clean. If you are into golf there is a huge golf course.”

“Service was great. The employees were all helpful and courteous. Very close to universal/islands of adventure. Have a shuttle. Breakfast was pretty good and nice variety. Had a stroller delivered there and it was quite easy as well. Only negatives are we found a few sugar ants in our room and there were a few loud dogs in other rooms. Wish they kept pets on certain floors but wasn’t a huge deal over all. Would stay there again.”

“We really liked this hotel with the room with a beautiful view, the extra hot swimming pool, the ping pong table available. The hotel was really quiet for a weekend. We will return there.Rooms: Comfortable room, a little humid when you turn off the air conditioning.”

“This was one of the best stays we’ve had in a hotel for our family of 5. The suite offered us room to spread out. We appreciate the convenience of having a kitchen. I love the bathroom setup with the sink outside the toilet and shower. It made it easy to get ready while someone was showering. The breakfast and “happy hour” with free snacks and adult beverages (M-W) were both fantastic! What a happy surprise! We walked from the hotel to Sea World which saved us $40 in parking. It was a 1/2 mile (2 block) walk. You won’t regret staying here. This will be our go-to if we come back for another visit!Rooms: The rooms were clean and spacious. Loved the bathroom setup. Had two tvs, one in each room. We really like having a full sized fridge to keep our water and beverages cold as we travel.Nearby activities: We made a short drive to Typhoon Lagoon. It wasn’t too far.Walkability: We walked the 1/2 mile to Sea World. It’s literally 2 blocks from the hotel. So close. We saved $40 on parking.Food & drinks: The breakfast was fantastic. It changed every other day for our three day stay. The happy hour offered M-W offered free adult beverages, fountain sodas, and small plates of food. One night we just ate the small plates for dinner because it was so good.”
