Avis Car Rental

Car Rental
Hours: Avis Car Rental at Sarasota Airport is a well-known brand recognized worldwide for its customer loyalty and reliable service. Many customers have praised the friendly and helpful staff, especially highlighting an employee named Frank, who provided understanding and kind service during issues with rental cars. The location offers a convenient and quick check-in process, with clean vehicles ready for customers upon arrival. Regular renters appreciate the Avis Preferred process, which generally works well for them, especially when the staff treats them well. However, some reviews indicate that service quality has been declining over the years. Long wait times in both preferred and regular lines, sometimes up to two hours, are a common complaint. The location has not adopted digital or automated systems, relying instead on outdated screens and paper processes, which hampers efficiency. Understaffing during busy periods further worsens the situation. Customers suggest that modern automation, similar to other airports like Tampa, would greatly improve the experience. While most experiences are positive, some reviews mention issues with vehicle cleanliness, such as strong pet odors and allergies, and unexpected charges at drop-off. Nonetheless, repeat customers often find the cars to be low mileage and of good quality, with staff willing to accommodate vehicle exchanges if needed. Overall, Sarasota Avis Car Rental offers friendly service and good vehicles, but modernization and improved staffing could make the experience even better.
